24.01.2022 Thank you to those who submitted timetable preference form! The response has been fantastic with over 90% of our students sharing with us their preferred study times. The preference request form closed on Friday 8 May, so we will now finish building the timetable based on the preferences submitted. The enrolments and timetabling team will then enrol you in the subjects that have been advised by your Program Manager and the electives some of you have requested. We will enrol y...our core and specialisation subjects first and then your electives. After we have enrolled all of the students that have submitted a preference form, the official enrolments will open on the 18th of May 2020 and at this time you will be able to change your own enrolment in Avantis as usual, but please keep in mind the requirements of you program. 23.01.2022 Attention to all current UG students - Online Engagement Scholarship In light of the recent transition to online learning in response to Covid-19, the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) is inviting current students the chance to apply for an Online Engagement Scholarship. The Online Engagement Scholarship is open to students in their first year of study, and is valued at up to $21900. Partial Scholarships may be awarded. The closing date for applications is ...8 May 2020. We are student-focused, and we want to acknowledge how students have positively embraced the transition, and also demonstrate that the flexibility of online learning is certainly something to be noted with regards to future modes of academic delivery. ICMS Professional Scholarships Program chair Ann Whitelock Courtney-OConnor said. Applications for the ICMS Online Engagement Scholarship are invited from students currently studying an ICMS Bachelor Degree. Applicants must have a full time or equivalent study load, and be in term 1 or term 2 of study. The scholarship offers up to six subjects tuition waiver (tuition fees for up to 6 subjects for applicable trimesters, and this applies to domestic and international student fees for 2020). None of us could have predicted the impact of COVID-19, but your response has been amazing, particularly the way in which you have embraced the online environment. Board of Examiners met last week and your final results for subjects taken in the February 2020 are now official as of today, Monday 29/6/2020. 23.01.2022 From Monday 23rd March until Friday the 3rd of April face-to-face classes will not be held on campus facilities. Will we keep you informed about your classes beyond this period. On-campus residential students will also attend classes remotely and should prepare for limited activities on campus. On-campus students will receive communication about these changes as they occur. The goal of these changes is to minimise the need to gather in groups and spend a prolonged period of ...time in close proximity with each other in spaces such as classrooms. This is in response to comments made by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison around international students and visitors, taken out of context in the media amid general reportage on the COVID-19 pandemic. ICMS COO Rowan Courtney OConnor said ICM...S students on a student visa were welcome to stay in Australia as long as they remained enrolled in their online classes in order to comply with visa requirements. We are the International College of Management, Sydney. Our institution was founded on international students and they have shaped who we are today, Courtney OConnor said. There is no need to go back to your home country, you are welcome here. Lets get through this together. Aware that travel restrictions and work restrictions have negatively affected international students, Courtney OConnor said the higher education institute, was working on how best to support students in need over this challenging period. 13.01.2022 The World Health Organisation (WHO) had said that COVID-19 can now be characterised as a pandemic. At ICMS we do not want to cause unreasonable fear but neither do we want to be inactive. In the effort to prevent the virus coming onto our campus we are now requesting our staff and students to modify behaviour and travel. 13.01.2022 With the health and wellbeing of our students and staff as our top priority, we are moving all classes to online delivery, for two weeks, from Monday 23rd March until Friday April 3rd 2020. During this period, classes on campus will be suspended. Our subjects all have Moodle sites and these will have links to Zoom online classrooms for participating in online sessions at the same time as current classes. 05.01.2022 **Where is Esplanade Campus?** This campus is run by Aspire Institute, ICMSs pathway provider. Brilliantly located campus overlooking the harbour on East Esplanade in Manly. This campus is in the heart of Manly village, well known for its shopping precinct, cafs, restaurants and beachside lifestyle and is located 200m from the ferry and bus stop.... Aspire students have full access to all the facilities enjoyed by students of the ICMS Northern Beaches Campus, the castle on the hill, including a free shuttle bus which runs between the two campuses. Alternatively, if students prefer to walk between campuses it will take only 5-10 minutes. Courses delivered here: English courses Australian Foundation Program Note: Diploma courses are run in the Northern Beaches Campus, a short walk up the hill from the Esplanade Campus Getting to the Esplanade campus The Esplanade Campus is in one of Sydneys favourite beachside suburbs so there are plenty of ways to travel in, out and around Manly.
