16.01.2022 To all our friends! Can you help us save the Sydney Marine Park? Please spare 30 seconds of your day to click the link below and submit an email to show your su...pport. After a decade of public pressure, the NSW Government has announced a draft plan for a Sydney Marine Park to protect our waters around Sydney. There is a powerful scare campaign in place from many fronts which threatens to kill off any hope of a marine park. Unless we all show support by going online the unthinkable will happen and the plan scrapped. So what’s the proposal? In short, the proposed Sydney Marine Park would give us 25 new marine sites in the Hawksbury Shelf Bioregion from Newcastle to Wollongong. 17 of these would be sanctuary zones, which would protect 4.6% of the bioregion in highly protected sanctuaries (2.4%) and conservation zones (2.2%) (ie: leaving 95% of the region available for fishing). As you can see we are asking for very little but there is a real chance we could end up with nothing and no plan for the future. This is not the legacy that any reasonable person would want to leave so PLEASE share this with all your friends. https://www.sydneymarinepark.org.au/amcs_submission

15.01.2022 PROSTPONED!!! the weather is unfortunately not holding up hope to some of our ICMS divers down there on the 10th. Please approach Dive Centre Manly or Michael Hagemann for further information and tickets. ... Hope everyone is travelling well their assignments.

11.01.2022 WELL DONE!!! WE DID IT!! As of today the amnesty no longer exists in 20 of the 30 sanctuary sites we have been working so hard to protect. Although this is not all we wanted its a great improvement to 2 years ago when the previous Premiers aides basically told us to go home and stop wasting their time. A bottle of grange, a change in Premier, and the fantastic support we have received from everyone from Scientists and Environmental agencies to concerned Aussies who have seen enough rape and pillage of our heritage have made a difference. There is still more to be done but if we keep up the fight we can truly make the difference essential for the health of our oceans into the future. Today you are all champions and I thank you all!

05.01.2022 We are back at Campus Day with Dive Centre Manly! Pay us a visit and sign up for some Diving ;)
