23.01.2022 A final message from Fr Peter for you all!

18.01.2022 Our Year Four students have been enjoying Literacy Groups each day, activities include Guided Reading, Reciprocal Reading, Comprehension, Oral language and Ziptales. During Science and Technology, students have been studying forces of motion and conducted an experiment with friction using toy cars. Our students have also been demonstrating drama skills by role playing significant events in Mary’s life. Some students chose the Annunciation and others represented Mary’s perspective at the foot of the Cross.

11.01.2022 Over the past few weeks Year 5 students have been very busy working on their Mathematics and reading skills, writing interesting narratives in English and keeping fit during PE. In Music they are learning about body percussion and in Science, exploring light sources. During Religious Education lessons they have been learning about Creation and the important part we play in protecting and caring for our Earth. They were also very lucky to have a special visitor to help explain the Christmas Art Project Competition and look forward to creating their scripture inspired artwork.

05.01.2022 To all our CEDoW community, as we navigate the challenges of #COVID19 together... thank you

02.01.2022 On August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption, Father Peter Caruana, our Parish Priest, celebrated his Juliblee - 50 years as a priest. We have been graced to have him serve us at Holy Family since 1984! We now farewell him as he begins his retirement. The students and staff were able to say farewell to him last week. Although we couldn’t celebrate with mass or as a school, due to COVID, we were still able to show our appreciation and say goodbye. Our whole school community will miss Fr Peter and we wholeheartedly thank him for his faithful service to our parish and school community and we pray for him as he enters retirement.

01.01.2022 As we officially sign off for the Term One School Holidays, we would like to wish you all a safe, happy and Holy Easter. May the blessings of this most Holy Week be with you all. WE MISS YOU ALL!

01.01.2022 Today we marked the beginning of the season of Lent with a whole school and parish Ash Wednesday Mass. The marking of the ashes on Ash Wednesday is an expression of our faith and a sign that we are asking God for forgiveness. We are reminded that Lent is a 40 day journey where we turn away from our worldly distractions and journey home to God.... It is a time for us to spend more time praying, fasting and almsgiving.
