24.01.2022 I am very happy to announce that I am now an essential service in both NSW and QLD and officially back in action. All the necessary health, safety & infection control steps have been taken and will continue to take place. I am currently taking bookings for next week along with the next few days so get in contact if you're in need of a treatment. Please make sure you do not book in if you're experiencing any flu like symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with flu like symptoms recently. I look forward to seeing you all soon.

23.01.2022 Attacking those pesky rhomboids. - you know that muscle in the middle of your upper back that is always feeling tight? Yeah that's likely your rhomboids. Their main action is to retract the scapula (shoulder blade) so you can imagine if you're hunched over a desk or work site on the daily these bad boys are working overtime to try and bring the shoulders back which obviously wears them out. Remember to always counteract your daily activities with self care and stay on top of aches and pains.

21.01.2022 Feeling very refreshed and super enthused to treat again after this time away with my partner in crime @veesykes_ for her 30th #old . I'll be back from next Tuesday and have a few spots remaining so jump online and book before they're all snapped up. See you all soon.

20.01.2022 A quick 30-minute post pilates pre-work tune-up for the better half @veesykes_ . Even those with tight time schedules should always find time within the day to give their body the rest and recovery it needs to function at its best. I am looking at putting together a few more options for those with less time on their hands. would a 30-minute tune-up suit you? comment below.

18.01.2022 a few easy mobility techniques to keep you moving through these quiet times.

17.01.2022 Is pain normal? The short answer is yes, pain is a response to tissue damage or dysfunction within the body. Do you have to live with pain? No! Take pain as a message from the body that there is something you need to improve, don't get complacent and have the pain become a new normal. Find out why you are feeling this pain and work hard to change bad habbits and resolve pain and dysfunction within the body.

17.01.2022 Hey guys, I've started a YouTube channel where I'll be posting videos that will help your body move better during these tough times at home. Go and give it a like and subscribe. Comment any videos you would like below, cheers. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrDVOEzLK3VnlVeFJtjdhyg

17.01.2022 Cupping benefits - increased blood flow and healing capacity - decreased tissue sensitivity - decreased pain... - increased range of motion and tissue flexibility - decreased tissue tightness. Do you still need convincing?

14.01.2022 How has your body been feeling during the pandemic? With the increased number of people off work or working from home I have noticed a large increase in clients suffering from lower back pain or neck pain and stiffness due to sitting for longer periods of time or being stuck in their make shift at home office with poor posture for long periods of time. If you can relate to this or have any other musculoskeletal issues needing attendance then get in contact through the link in... my bio and get on top of the pain while you have the chance. Daily Tip: get up and move often, counteract your time at the desk or couch with exercise. . . . . . . . #remedialmassage #goldcoast #muscletherapy #officework #neckpain #backpain #strengthtraining #cupping #myotherapy #inmotion #stretching #muscles #bodywork #destinationgoldcoast

14.01.2022 Allow me to reintroduce myself. Hi, I'm Nick and I'm a remedial and sports massage therapist based in Newcastle NSW out of Alto Imaging on Hunter street. I recently moved to Newcastle from the Gold Coast due to a new and exciting opportunity with Alto Imaging along with a change in lifestyle (less crowded surf). Anyway more to the point, my purpose here at In Motion Muscle Therapy is to guide you towards a pain-free life and have you moving regularly and with confidence. I am... very enthused to take you on this journey and have been absolutely overwhelmed with the support and results we have seen in the clinic already. So far my time in Newcastle has been amazing, you Novocastrians sure have made myself and my Fiance @veesykes feel very welcome. If I'm not in the clinic you'll often find me out in the surf so if you happen to see me out there please come and have a chat, I'd love to meet you. More importantly, if you have been suffering through pain/dysfunction or you're wanting to improve your performance in your chosen sport/hobby or maybe you're simply wanting to maintain which I couldn't recommend more because you know, we should all be proactive not reactive right? then feel free to book online through the link in my bio. If you're not sure and would like a bit more info you can visit my website which has plenty of info and also has my contact details where we can chat in person. Cheers and see you soon. See more

14.01.2022 What is manual therapy? Manual therapy is a treatment form used by remedial therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and many more which includes a range of different modalities such as trigger point release, joint mobilisation, myofascial release and many more. During a treatment at In Motion Muscle Therapy, you will be taken through a thorough assessment where a treatment plan will be put in place and manual therapy will be utilized with the aim to alleviate pain and improve areas of dysfunction. Techniques such as dry needling and myofascial cupping are also often used to gain the maximum results in the time we have available. Stay tuned to learn more about each modality used and why we use them. Cheers.

09.01.2022 The key to getting the best results out of a remedial treatment is all in the assessment. At In Motion Muscle Therapy we always take the time to assess and find the cause of your pain or dysfunction. To do this we will sit down and have a chat about your current complaints and get the how, where, when and why it may have happened. We then go through a thorough assessment of the body and narrow down the cause of the current complaint. We also follow up on the treatment with gu...idelines and advice on how you can prevent these issues occurring again and improve your general wellbeing whether that be strengthening areas of dysfunction or imbalance in the body or giving you simple self-release exercises to alleviate the pain you feel from day to day. If this sounds of interest and you would like to get on top of those issues that are holding you back, don't hesitate to book in or give me a call to have a chat. cheers.

05.01.2022 I am sad to say that with the current situation (Covid-19) I am unable to treat until further notice. I'd like to thank you all for your support over the last year. I can't wait to be back in the clinic and helping all you awesome people but for now, we have to look at the bigger picture and do what's right. Over the coming weeks, months and so on I will be uploading plenty of self-care videos for when you are stuck in lockdown. If you are in need of any advice during this time I am only a phone call away (video chat also) so please don't hesitate to get in contact. I wish everyone all the best over this tough time and urge you all to support those people and small businesses in need where possible. Cheers, and stay safe.

05.01.2022 One of the reasons I find cupping so effective is that while the cups are treating one area you have time to treat other areas of pain or dysfunction within the body which would normally not be prioritised.

03.01.2022 This is Rob. Rob is a keen surfer and a very active man with previous history of rotator cuff issues. Through regular treatments we have been able to minimise Rob's pain and have him out surfing for longer. Alongside these treatments Rob's self-care has played a huge role in keeping him in great shape. Finishing the session with myofascial cupping is a great way to target areas that are cause ng restriction in his shoulders and neck. If you feel like this sort of treatment c...ould be beneficial to you and your like to get back to moving well and feeling great then contact me through here or the link above. 02.01.2022 Never underestimate the importance of self-care. Remember movement is our friend, the more we do it the better we will function physically and mentally. What's does your go-to morning movement consist of?

02.01.2022 I promise your appointment won't be as quick as this one. Here I am treating Dan from @butterystudio who is a graphic designer and often suffering from pain in the cervical and thoracic regions which makes him a bit of a pain in the neck........ Jokes he's a good guy. We used a few of the favourites today to get him on his way to a pain free existence including massage, cupping and dry needling. If this looks like a bit of you, you know what to do. Link is in my bio. Cheers

01.01.2022 Don't forget to set aside time to invest in your health. So many of us are so busy investing in our future financially that we neglect the vessel that carries us. Setting aside time to take care of your body not only helps with those aches and pains that you've, "learned to live with" but it also gives you time to reset and clear the mind. Remember pain is not something that you have to be burdened with for the rest of your life. Somehow we can find time to scroll on Instagram and Facebook aimlessly for hours a week yet I constantly find people saying they don't have time for self-care. Let's break the cycle. Book online for a thorough consultation and treatment where we can work through your pain and injuries and increase your overall productivity.

01.01.2022 Do you have trouble squatting? Do you find yourself falling backwards or arching your back too much? It is likely that this is due to your ankle mobility. Here are a few tips to help improve your technique when squatting. Don't forget to double tap and tag someone who may benefit from this. Cheers.
