21.01.2022 ICD are pleased to announce that the Australian Government have approved the return of dental restrictions to Level 1. Level 1 means that we can now resume to all routine dental services! This is a great relief for the many patients awaiting treatment and is a significant step towards normality. The ICD team are still continuing to take high levels of precautions to protect the health and safety of our patients, teams and families. These measures include:... Screening questions to ascertain health prior to booking an appointment and when confirming appointments. We also advise where possible for only the patient being treated to attend the appointment to avoid large groups in the waiting area: magazines, toys and Ipads have been temporarily removed and all hard surfaces are frequently sanitised. Rescheduling of appointments will be actioned for patients who have contracted or have been in contact with a diagnosed Coronavirus patient and patients who are experiencing flu/virus symptoms. Hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities are readily available for patients visiting our clinics. We would like to thank all of our patients once again for being so patient and understanding during these challenging times. We are working through the back log of appointments that had been rescheduled and our friendly team are working on contacting all of those who were affected by this reshuffling. A time in which we need to work together and do our very best to support one another.... The Australian Dental Association (ADA) and the Australian Dental Board have made recent COVID-19 dental treatment recommendations as to what can and cant be treated. ICD are strictly complying with these treatment recommendations. We are also enacting strict safety protocols to protect our patients and staff whilst continuing to maintain the high levels of infection control we have always practiced. The types of dental treatments that are still able to be completed include treatments to relieve and assist patients with the following conditions: 1. PAIN tooth, teeth or mouth 2. INFECTION - pain, abscess, facial swelling, soreness, or a loose tooth or teeth 3. TRAUMA & BROKEN TEETH - if a tooth or crown has been knocked or is broken. 4. DENTURES - broken dentures. 5.
