23.01.2022 Good morning One of the biggest misconceptions I hear about anti-wrinkle injections is that once you start, you can't stop. This is fake news. Stopping anti-wrinkle treatments won't make your skin look worse than it did before, but it will put you right back to where you were when you first started. This is because gradually, your muscles (which create wrinkles through movement) which that had been treated with anti-wrinkle injections, will start moving again prompting ...the reappearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 18.01.2022 Tear troughs are a tricky area to treat and are often loathed by patients who have them. The trick to treating them well is to make sure the cheek tissue is well supported first (usually with filler), otherwise your tear trough treatment won’t look great/won’t work. 18.01.2022 Salutations to all my new followers! I thought I would take this quick opportunity to say hi and tell you a little bit about myself! First and foremost I’m a proud mum to two very special little boys (2 & 4) and a step mum to a beautiful 9 year old boy. Suffice to say my home life is very noisy! Before I found my love for cosmetics, I was (and still am) an Intensive Care Nurse. Prior to nursing I was an Air Force Officer (yup I shipped myself off to ADFA at a shy 17yrs ...old!). I’m lucky to have a gorgeous husband who is my biggest fan and number one supporter in life. He puts up with my crazy ambition, including my latest venture of becoming president of the Cosmetic Nurses Association Advisory Board. I’m extremely passionate about educating the community about ageing positively. My job isn’t to change you or make you look weird, but to enable you to feel refreshed and slow down the clock ever so slightly. And lastly, I’ll leave you with a fun fact about me - I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with ice cream and @johnmayer!

04.01.2022 My little skincare tip of the day: make sure your sunscreen offers UVA and UVB protection. To prevent against sun damage and the ageing effects that result from it - it's important that your suncscreen includes a strong SPF (at least 30+) and also protects against ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays. And you need to wear it every single day! UVA rays are typically associated with ageing while UVB rays are associated with skin burning. Both are equally damaging ...to the skin. Love and look after your skin every day! @artisanclinics
