25.01.2022 Due to the sudden tragic loss of a friend Jackson's will be closed tonight. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but as you know we are short staffed and I am just unable to concentrate infront of the fryers tonight. We will reopen at 10am tomorrow. 25.01.2022 Huge shout out to Jackson's Takeaway in Mackay! We visited there today and were pleasantly surprised with the gluten free menu and the fact that the owner is he...rself coeliac. She made a point of asking my other half if I was intolerant or CD and then presented me with THE BEST loaded fries and a huge tub of gravy. I had a fabulous lunch and I can't wait to go back to Mackay just so I can stop by again! See more

10.01.2022 In the test kitchen today. Soooo many ppl have asked for these so I made some today. Baked fresh this morning. Few tweeks for next batch but they taste yum :) Gluten and dairy free doughnuts and doughnut biscuits :) Only 11 soft and 6 firm. $2 each until sold out. There will be more flavours in future but today we have vanilla with a hint of strawbery and cream.

08.01.2022 We have installed our New and updated menu. Due to local price rises we have had to add 50c to our spanish and RTE so we can continue to deliver good quality local, seafood. We buy local Fish from local suppliers, we sell Red Throat Emperor not imported immitations. Our portion sizes for our fish and chicken are the biggest in Mackay and there is no other taste like it. We are still one of the most affordable takeaways delivering good quality food upsized :) Fresh produce fr...om misfuds, local meat from our tendercut butcher and the majority of our products hand made and hand crumbed in store. A lovely lady who chooses us as her local dropped in tonight for her order and gave us the most wonderful gift. I won't lie, after she left a tear was shed. Jackson's Takeaway now has its very own bauble for our Xmas tree. I must say, as we come into our one year anniversary and look back at how difficult this year has been as a brand new buisness owner, its moments like these that remind me why we work so hard.
