22.01.2022 Friday facts . . . . Thoroughbreds are hard to keep Never touch a horse that windsucks, they are hard to keep condition on... Well, Frankie Fat tum is here to prove you all wrong! This dude has not had a single scrap of hay, or hard feed all winter (just a handful of the essentials). He has one rug on, which comes off on a nice day, and he lives in the paddock with the rest of the school ponies. He is also known to have a good old windsuck, sometimes multiple times per day on anything he can sink his teeth into. He has even been known to escape his paddock to get his wind fix! He is the coolest horse around. Everyone who meets him loves him, and he will be here with us for the rest of his days. So, dont pass up on finding your own Frankie Fat tum, due to a minor imperfection! 07.01.2022 Squilly has been quietly working away at her retraining process and we think she is now ready to head out to her new home. Squilly is a 15.2hh 6yo Thoroughbred Mare, who retired in June and had a spell before commencing work with us. She is the ultimate trail riding horse. She has no spook, goes anywhere, over anything or through any puddle, bog or bush you point her at. She is happy to go in front, in the middle, or at the back. Good in a group, walk, trot or canter and g...ood on her own. Squilly is good to catch, shoe, float. Not marey, not bothered if she has friends or not, and loves a good cuddle. We have not worked her in the arena, this is not where her talent lies at this stage, however if someone wants to put in the hard yards she will try for you. 05.01.2022 What a weekend! It was great to be back out on my ponies again! Yesterday we spent the day training over the course at Albury. All three of my kids were super. Unfortunately Pockets training run came to a early end when we collected the flag on a fence and Pockets got rid of the flag and the rider on landing. All ok, we lived to fight another day! Today, all three of my kids jumped round the 80cm course like little stars. This was Barbie, and Pockets first time having a cra...ck at Cross country, and both of them gave me very confident rides. Beachy was also a champion! A huge thank you to Brad and his team, the cross country course was great, and the new ditch was super to ride! The biggest thanks has to go to my team of girls, both at home and with me. A full day of teaching, new ponies arriving and 3 horses back to back jumping could have been bad, but I am super lucky to have a great support team! And lastly, but by no means least my awesome sponsors who keep myself and my team going! She is forward, but has no buck, bolt or rear. She retired sound and sane, and is now looking for a new home where she can excel. ... 03.01.2022 How lucky are my ponies (and Dexta, who just couldnt miss out on the action ) to have a whole new wardrobe of rugs ready for when we are allowed out competing again! Thanks to the team at Joseph Lyddy for our new gear! And, for the constant support, even through these uncertain times. My gear has never looked so good, all cleaned up with nowhere to go

03.01.2022 Team work makes the dream work 2 new Kids arrived today, very kindly brought down by Lisa McMaster. Lisa and her girls are also Racing Victoria Off The Track retrainers. They had a big influx of horses so we helped them out since we had a couple of spare spaces. Covid sure has put a spanner in the works, but with horses as the common goal, we make it work! ...
