17.01.2022 SAVE THE DATE - Sunday 7 March 2021 The Horsham Fishing Competition WILL go ahead this March Labour Day weekend, pending any changes to public health restrictio...ns which prevent it from happening. Given the various implications on our event, we are making some changes to make our event both COVIDSafe and manageable for a small committee made up of volunteers. That means... * This year's competition will be CAPPED. At this stage, we will only sell a maximum of 1000 registrations. Registrations will only be sold ONLINE, except for the weekend of the competition (unless sold out prior). We will let you know when registrations are going to open. * Our prize list will look a bit different. With fewer registrations and many local businesses still struggling on the back of two lockdowns, our prize list will not look the same this year. *There will be more opportunities to win by chance this year! Every senior entrant will go in the draw to win one of our major prizes, and each time you catch a fish you will be eligible for additional prize draws. * NO STAKE PICK UP - we are reformatting the competition which means stake pick up the weekend prior will not be necessary. More to come on this as we work through the logistics and re-write our competition rules. * Fishing will start half an hour earlier at 7AM on the day of the comp to allow for pre-dawn catches! Please bear with us while we navigate unchartered territory, we are learning as we go and the situation can change rapidly. Thank to everyone who has reached out and asked if the comp is going ahead.
