24.01.2022 APPOINTING A GUARDIAN .............................................. While it is not absolutely necessary to appoint a Guardian for your infant children in your Will, it can save a lot of uncertainty in what is already a very difficult time. If a Guardian is not appointed under the Will, the Family Court decides who should become the legal guardian based on the best interests of the child. This is not always ideal as the person chosen by the Family Court may not necessarily be the person that you would choose to care for your child. I then studied at Deakin University in Geelong and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction majoring in Finance.
