23.01.2022 This week I will be celebrating World Reflexology Week by talking about all things Reflexology. So what is Reflexology? It is a holistic non-invasive therapy which complements western medicine from preconception to aged care. Reflexology works by stimulating over 7000 nerve endings in your feet which open neural pathways bringing about homeostasis of your body. Homeostasis is the state when your body is able to maintain proper function even when surrounded by chaos. So in other words, your body has the ability to maintain a sense of calm when needed. And added bonus - it feels good JMNT

22.01.2022 You have permission to rest. You are not responsible for fixing everything that is broken. You do not have to try and make everyone happy. For now, take time to replenish. It is time for you. In this busyness of the end of the year, Christmas preparations and life in general, remember to find a moment to stop and breathe. JMNT

20.01.2022 With the easterlies blowing, and pollens flying everywhere, a little self help tip to help you get through the hay fever season. JMNT

20.01.2022 My work has many highs but sadly I also see the lows that are so painful. Pregnancy loss is unfortunately common and yet so misunderstood. To stand beside a woman who has just been told her baby has gone is something I do not take lightly. I think of it as a privilege to be an older woman who is there to support a younger mother whose heart has been torn apart. If you are supporting someone after any form of miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death, then remember contact ...is important. A hug or an arm around the shoulder is comforting. Tears are a healthy response and should never be discouraged. Let her do the talking. ...... A very supportive resource we have available is SANDS. This organization offer phone support 24/7 so if you are wanting to connect to someone who understands your journey, reach out. You are not alone JMNT See more

20.01.2022 I hear you.... JMNT

20.01.2022 Day 4 and my absolute love, Reproductive or Hormones/Fertility Reflexology. Those who have worked with me, know just how passionate I am about women understanding their hormones, their CM (I even spent 12 months learning how to interpret cervical mucus) and how this relates to their menstrual health. This knowledge can then support you to understand when to have baby dance (and it is only about 6 days) or alternatively if not wanting to become pregnant, when to use prote...ction which, due to the benefits of CM, is about 10 days of your menstrual cycle. I am passionate about women who are working with me, being able to understand their hormones patterns even when they are hitting that stage in their life when our egg supply is running low and you move towards the peri menopause and then post menopausal years. Hormones are so important during all our life and I just love them. JMNT See more

18.01.2022 Day 2 recognizing the different forms of reflexology I do as part of World Reflexology Week. Maternity Reflexology - what more can I say than how privileged am I to work with women throughout the entire pregnancy. There are so many benefits for mum and bub from regular maternity reflexology. Supporting mums hormones during such a magical but physically, emotionally and mentally draining time is my honour. Making a baby is truly a full time job. No weekends off - mum to be is on the job so to speak 24/7. So thankful I have the skills to give her a place to relax. JMNT

18.01.2022 My favourite 5 days of the year. The days where we sit, stop, snooze, rest, restore, recover. Ahhhhh....... JMNT

17.01.2022 The learning never stops. Just booked my next few months of learning. * Supporting the aging Ovarian * embracing the future with online support * identifying quality research * menopause symposium. There is a definite theme in my work and study.... always so much to learn and integrate into my clinical applications. JMNT

16.01.2022 Amenorrhea (uh-men-o-REE-uh) is the absence of menstruation one or more missing period bleeds. The most common cause of amenorrhea is pregnancy, however there are other factors that can stop your period bleeds. These may include: Profound stress Weight changes... Extreme exercise Illness Medications Teens - you recently started your period and it is not established as yet Breastfeeding Perimenopause/menopause Over the next few days, I will elaborate further on each of these. Sharing space in my clinic with a woman who has her menstrual bleed return and watching the tears flow as she realised now her dream of pregnancy is possible humbling JMNT See more

15.01.2022 These words say it all. So proud of you for all you are doing. I hear you....I see you.... JMNT

15.01.2022 Day 3 in the journey of the forms of reflexology I practice and today is such a fun area. Labour priming or asking bub to get a wriggle on and make its entry earthside is so rewarding. This is a specialized form of maternity reflexology and I was very privileged to train under the guidance of a Doctor of Midwifery utilizing specialized acupressure skills that were developed from specialized acupuncture work developed by a NZ acupuncturist. Advanced training in this modality meant I was able to continue training alongside midwives in Perth which was a great opportunity to showcase the benefits of reflexology in preparing for labour - and in labour if you are able to receive this deeply supportive tool for the birthing mum. 12.01.2022 Final post celebrating World Reflexology Week - my clinic - where it all happens. I love my clinic space particularly the privacy that my home based clinic allows. If you have any questions, reach out. I am happy to have a conversation to see if I am the right fit for you or to find out just how I could support you. You only have to ask.... JMNT

10.01.2022 Planning for a baby and getting your body ready for the 40 weeks of pregnancy and your partner to his optimum sperm health is perhaps one of the most life changing steps you will ever make. JMNT

10.01.2022 Pregnancy is the most common reason why you may not see your monthly bleed but there can be other reasons that women often do not consider. Here are some reasons as to why you are not seeing your period. STRESS Profound and ongoing stress alters the production of the hormone GnRH which interferes with ovulation and regular menstruation. This will generally be the type of stress that is severe not the type where you feel overwhelmed or feel flat out. EXTREME EXERCISE... Extreme exercise can cause alterations in your pituitary and thyroid hormones. This results in changes with your ovulation and menstruation. If you are wanting to exercise in a manner, your body may find extreme, you may need to seek support from a sports medicine doctor who can support you through this process. WEIGHT CHANGES Being overweight, underweight, or having drastic changes in your weight can all impact on your cycle. Obesity influences oestrogen and progesterone which may see a decrease in your fertility. Equally severely underweight can interfere with regular menstrual cycles, as your body will not be ovulating due to the lack of fat and other nutrients needed for ovulation. To be continued. 10.01.2022 Yay! Yay! Yay! Sharing the good news for a delightful couple who I have had the absolute pleasure to work with. Good times ahead for you both JMNT

09.01.2022 One of the many benefits we have in our modern world is the ability to use assisted reproductive techniques (IVF) to support having a child when for many reasons, natural conception is not an option. I have been blessed to work with many couples to provide support and information so they attend their clinic as holistically healthy as possible. Today I received a beautiful message of hope as they had a transfer recently. Sending them both every ounce of baby dust as they rewrite their baby making story. Much love and respect to all those walking this journey, JMNT

08.01.2022 Did you know that sperm take approx 50 days to develop in the testicles, then spend approx 8 days making its tail followed by 14 days maturing in the vas deferens awaiting ejaculation. Male sperm health should always be considered when it comes to recurrent miscarriage. JMNT

08.01.2022 I hear you. I see you. I will always support you. You are not alone. JMNT

07.01.2022 Time out to chill... Time out to talk..... Time out to express your fears.... Time out to find your best birth support team... Time out to dream about your new journey ahead of you.... There are many reasons why women work with me during their pregnancy. The bonus is I get to watch their growing tummy and see how bub responds with maternity reflexology. Two little wrigglers yesterday. I love watching mum sleep and bub play. JMNT See more

06.01.2022 And this is why I do what I do.... Thank you for sharing these words - they truly mean so much to me. JMNT

06.01.2022 I will never tire of these messages. Yes, I would love to keep working with you for maternity support. JMNT

06.01.2022 These positive pregnancy messages. I love my work - helping women understand what is going on. How special can it get!! JMNT

05.01.2022 Sometimes it is the little things that count. Your period is the start of bigger things to come. JMNT

03.01.2022 You have permission to rest. You are not responsible for fixing everything that is broken. You do not have to try and make everyone happy. For now, take time to replenish. 03.01.2022 When you spend your client free afternoon preparing for a peri-menopause/menopause workshop. Out come the markers to highlight areas for reflexology homework on your hands. JMNT

02.01.2022 On the last day of my break.my clinic is refreshed, re-energised and ready to welcome you all to my clinic for 2021. Thank you to all the new followers who have stepped into my little piece of FB/Insta world. To all my loyal and my new followers, welcome and blessings to you. It is great to have you around. For those who have worked with me, lets bring on 2021 and all the good things this year will bring and for those new to working with me, I am so looking forward to s...upporting you with all that you desire. During my break, my website has been updated and changes reflect how I will be moving forward with my work. If you are interested address is www.geraldtonreflexology.com.au To be honest not a lot has changed because I still love working with hormones and all the implications these beautiful hormones have on us women, but it will now be easier to read what to expect, how I may be able to help you and gives you an opportunity to see if I am the right fit for you. If you have any questions, please don’t worry about contacting me. I am happy to, in fact prefer, to have a quick chat to talk about how I can help. And if I am not your person, I have a big referral base who I can suggest may be a better fit. So, without any further to-dowelcome to the new year and the promise of all the new dreams. 01.01.2022 Do you choose a word for the year to support you? Last year I had multiple words - couldn’t choose just one, but they all followed a theme. Simplicity, serenity, sacred. On reflection, at the beginning of the year when I chose these words, I was trying to calm myself for what was going to be a crazy year (and if I had of taken more notice and implemented these words in my life, I may not have cracked a tooth through stress ) For 2021. I have chosen the word Flow. ... Choosing a word is a small reminder on what you want or desire. For me, flow is gentle movement with no sharp edges. Meandering like a river. Acceptance of what is and continuing to move (flow) forward. 2020 used lots of emotional energies for me so as I begin the transition back into my 2021 year, I will continually be reminding myself to stay in the flow. Have you found your word.... JMNT See more

01.01.2022 And this is why there is value in knowing your baby dance window....JMNT
