23.01.2022 As everything shuts down 'Just Like Us' will be doing 2 deliveries in the Adelaide area of Sugar Free Chocolates to make sure everyone has some yummy and super low carb treats to get through. The chocolate buds are perfect for a home made easter egg activity to keep our T1D kiddies entertained. Plain, Fruit & Nut and coconut Blueberry clusters available in 250gm lots All containing less than 6gms of carbs per 100gms!!!!... 22.01.2022 I hope everyone is having a great New Year, we have had a little bit of a late start to our initiative’s activities this year as we felt the Just Like Us Family philanthropist duties were needed in the fire damage space. This is the boys packing up Treasure Boxes for children who have lost all belongings. After much thought, our first catch up over the New Year to chat may be well spent at this amazing organisation. 17.01.2022 So tomorrow is 7 years since my babe was diagnosed. On this day he likes to choose something special he can do to help someone feel better this year he would like to take a gift to a child (under the age of 7) that shares his fears. He explained to me that he wants to help others fighting the battle he is by showing them that are strong and he understands their pain. 14.01.2022 To all the families ‘Just Like Us’ what we are all watching unfold is nothing short of surreal. We personally have had our family hanging at home since late last week and that’s where we will stay for now. One thing I find reassuring at this time is those of us who care for or live with T1D are already warriors against illness. This is how we live, this is what we had no choice to become with NO notice, this is what we are now good at. We survive because we use medicine, tec...hnology, problem solving, predictive risk assessment, medical knowledge, development and we make informed decisions. We’ve got this, we are an infinitely connected village and there is no better time than now to operate as one WARRIOR noun a person engaged or experienced in warfare; soldier.

01.01.2022 'Just Like Us' is excited to announce that through all the tedious ground work to get up and running, and our fundraising efforts we are FINALLY about to commence filming a short educational video. This will be released throughout South Australian schools on World Diabetes Day. The purpose of this is to deliver what our children want their peers to know about T1D This has been a wonderful opportunity firstly for us to talk to many children, and parents but mostly to give our ...little warriors a louder voice! A huge thanks to AMSL Diabetes for helping make this possible, and ALL our supportive families and friends that have contributed their\generous fundraising efforts to help us get this show on the road! We hope we do you proud.
