20.01.2022 I don’t usually feature a Scenic Lookout as a Post however this one is exceptionally picturesque & we know others will fall in love with it too... We’ve packed up from our stay at Goulet Bluff & are driving the short distance further along the Shark Bay Peninsula to our next camp at Fowlers Bay. Following WikiCamps we stopped at the lookout here to walk Little Miss Faith. As you can see it’s quite similar to Goulets Bluff visually. Similar headland & shell bars (instead of s...and bars), similar beach made purely from millions of tiny cockle shells & lastly wildflowers blossoming everywhere! Sadly it’s strictly for Day Use only, though there are tracks everywhere & it’d make for a spectacular 5th 24hr Campground. The morning here is stunning don’t you think? The mornings light is still gentle, the air fresh & dewy, but it’s the complete stillness that has transformed the bay into a landscape that is undeniably completely unforgettable. There are now wildflowers of all different sizes, structures & colours everywhere, all over the surrounding hillside. Even in the short time we’ve been here (a total of two weeks) the landscape has been transformed yet again. Some of the tiniest blossoms are the most beautiful. Little Miss Faith is having a relaxing mornings walk here, simply doing as elderly dogs do, wandering on lead here & there checking out this & that. Her owners are doing the same. Lots of standing around in awe of nature’s wild abundance... I just can’t take my eyes off these tiny luminescent white shells! The contrast between their stark whiteness & the dark seaweed blows my mind. The way the light enters the clearest of clear waters is just exceptional. How did Nature get it this right? Places as pure as this must be protected don’t you think? On this morning this landscape gave of itself wholeheartedly & we both appreciated her gift. It’s one we will always hold dear. 16.01.2022 We’d been looking for a good Freedom Campground in the 30-50kms west of Ceduna range which met our Off the Highway with a Great View/Experience criteria. The only campground within cooee was less than ideal only because it was a fair chunk off the highway and generally speaking, around 10kms further than we would normally choose for an overnighter. As usual WikiCamps came through! Nadia Landing is an absolute beachfront Dog Friendly campground near the tiny community of Na...dia and maybe 30kms west from Ceduna. I also searched for it on FB and found a couple of posts with great pics so it’ll be a winner! Fab little overnighter and I can see why it’s a popular summer holiday spot as it’d be fab for that great Aussie summer tradition of beach camping, swimming, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking and boating. Then there are the views! Oh my! As you can see from the pic taken from bed we chose a spot right at the end of the tiny peninsula and had 180 degree water views. Perfect location, sheltered waters in a Bay setting and a fantastic position to sit back and watch the storms roll through. I’d purposely picked a location which I knew would offer us shelter from the forecasted Low weather system coming across and Nadia Landing is a perfect example of being able to have a million dollar waterfront view without being exposed. Happy Days!!! Listening to the soothing sounds of water lapping and seabirds chirping was sooooo relaxing! Watching the colours dance across the sky at sunset was spectacular and having the time to just lay back and watch it all around us left me feeling privileged indeed... How great is this country of ours! Another Proud to be an Australian moment.

Being Dog Friendly, with showers and toilets and scenery like this how could you possibly go wrong? Oh and the max length of stay is 14 days so it’s perfect for when you want a base. 08.01.2022 The vid for Nadia Landing Campground. See all the pics in the previous post because the light was super harsh when I filmed this! We found Nadia Landing thanks to WikiCamps. It’s dog friendly, absolute waterfront, sheltered, has great fishing and crabbing and is completely free so we could spend the money we saved in the nearby town of Ceduna which is where we did our weeks grocery shopping.
07.01.2022 If you love to see the power of Mother Nature up close and personal you’ll put camping at Quobba Blowholes (WA)near the top of your Bucketlist. We loved it so much that we came back again and caravanned there with friends a second time. Look it up on WikiCamps as it has everything you could possibly want. Dog Friendly, budget friendly, absolute waterfront, 2kms of campsites to choose from, wildflowers (June-Oct) snorkelling in the aquarium was outstanding! It even has flushing loos & a dump point. And then there’s those blowholes. Wow...

03.01.2022 Not a bad view from our caravan! Another fabulous Campground offering the Freedom Camping experience in bucketloads is Mt Trio Bushcamp in the heart of the Western Australia’s Stirling Ranges. Whilst they’re not Dog Friendly (according to WikiCamps) I rang them ahead & asked if our elderly Little Miss Faith could please visit so that our Brand Ambassador Disabled Adventurer Jenny could give Mt Toolbrunup & some of the other nearby peaks a try. Checkout Mt Toolbrunup in the ...pic. The fact that Jenny achieved summiting is still something I’m astonished by! The campground owners couldn’t have been more accommodating! We ended up staying 9 nights which was not long before the bushfires swept through. It was cold enough here for us to have the diesel heater on.
