25.01.2022 A life changing bottle of Tears Bringing up a child on your own is heart breaking and a difficult journey. When my husband departed, I was left with the sad status of a single mum. This was the last thing Id sought and the situation demanded I work long hours to provide a quality life and education for my dear little one. At the time I was also completing my studies as a Homeopathic practitioner and life was pretty intense. I was helpless to change any of the circumstances ...Continue reading

25.01.2022 My impossible prayer answered Part one. I remained a single mother but with two mouths to feed, it was hard to raise fares to visit India. Yet India was where elated company was found. Many years passed and I suppose the grief that welled up developed into intense longing. At times I felt choked with emotion but tried to hide it from my little one. The wish to see those holy Himalayan Mountains again and be amongst the noble inhabitants, grew. My spiritual life seemed...Continue reading

20.01.2022 My Impossible prayer answered Part 2 My guests, the Blind and Saintly Prabhuji and his sweet son Siddhata from the Himalayas came for one week of programs to my home in Queensland. Prabhuji is a Sanskrit scholar, born in holy Mathura to a highborn Brahmin family of Krishna devotees. He is poetic, sweet natured, noble, but very strict and controlled by some divine unknown influence. That influence means he can change his mind about anything at anytime and that is final. Howeve...Continue reading

20.01.2022 FINDING A GURU By sheer determination I reached Rishikesh, a town famous for its Yogis and Ashrams, surrounded by jungle and the Himalayan foothills. It was 1975ish, and my Aussie travel buddy had deserted me 6 months earlier while I sat meditating. He didnt even say goodbye. Although traveling alone was scary and dangerous, the option to turn back was too heart breaking to consider. After the initial shock, I accepted the challenge and gathered courage to continue o...Continue reading

19.01.2022 My first lesson with a Guru It was perhaps 1975, and in response to a request to be accepted as a student, I received a telegram confirming that I could join a certain Yogis small ashram in Rishikesh. This was the very situation Id longed for but at the same time I knew in my guts it would not be easy but I never imagine how hard it would be. I was a young Aussie and never before had I any opportunity to meet a real Yogi. I was unaware of the many concepts I held as to...Continue reading

Each morning as part of daily practice they wash me both internally and externally with pure sound. Here is a wonderful article I repost from my dear old friend Swamiji Ramaswarupanand, who like a mantra, has given me so much kind support for many many years.

17.01.2022 The Great Nada Yogis devotion My first meeting with Veena Majaraj had a seriously deep impact upon me. I could never say I found him. It was crystal clear that a Divine intelligence navigated our destinies and made sure we met and then repeated this several times. In a way it had nothing to do with either of us. It was during a period of life where I was totally involved in the practice of lengthy meditations, which had become totally effortless. I would at times medita...Continue reading

17.01.2022 A Yogi manifests for me There was a truth, that for many years, imbedded itself in my heart as a substratum. I lived by it as much as possible and bore it in mind when it was helpful to others. It proved to be a reliable method to purify the mind and develop compassion, prerequisites for deeper levels of spiritual growth. That great truth was. The hands that serve are greater than the hands that prey. Around 30 years ago, I lived in Sydney with my 2 year old daughter. ...Continue reading

17.01.2022 LOST AND ALONE IN THE WILDS. PART ONE. Preserving self worth is less about pride and more about realising the tremendous value of a healthy body and balanced mind in achieving lifes supreme true goal. An unexpected set of events provided me with a massive turning point. That was my growth tip. Sweet apples often have maggots and faithful hearts are often betrayed but all is not lost if we resonant with the chord of divine love. That love which is totally pure can pull us th...Continue reading

17.01.2022 Lost and alone in wilderness..Part 2 Sometimes one finds ones self in such an outrageously difficult position, the only way to accept it is to give up, to surrender. With surrender comes grace and with grace the advent of a seeming miracle. My 22 yr old body remained naked, vulnerable and starving but all I could do was sit on that deserted beach waiting for an unidentified event to change something. Presuming there was nothing ahead but hundreds of miles of uninhabite...Continue reading

16.01.2022 Nada Yogi scolds Karuna After years of Tapas and intensive Yoga Practice in the Himalayas, I returned to Australian and became involved in a meditation group. I lost contact with the great Nada yogi as he travelled constantly to different ashrams, temples and places of worship. Where ever he went he uplifted everyone with Divine music. I presumed that was it and we would not meet again. However I treasured his memory always. It seemed an impossible task to find him, as I did ...Continue reading

15.01.2022 Gratitude is such an uplifting emotion. As most people I know are at least a little concerned about the pollution of our planet, increasing our sense of gratitude will definitely uplift our vibration and consciousness. This uplifted vibration is not static, it spreads and effects everything. If you want to help the planet, remember there is such a great power in our thoughts and words. It makes sense to create some helpful habits. # On rising, no matter what is happening in y...our day, fling the door open and say a verbal thank you to the sky, to the birds and to the earth. # Try to see the beauty in all living creatures and feel grateful for their companionship. # Listen to the sounds of nature at least once every day as this reduces stress and activates DNA segments responsible for healing and repairing the body and mind. Feel gratitude for the songs of the forest and running water. # Speak sincerely, words of encouragement to others, even the animals and plants as we all struggle and need to feel appreciated. # Meditate a little everyday to assist in control of negative emotions, gain a balanced state of mind and higher vibration. Return to your inner nest. A place so welcoming and silent, one is soothed to the core. This is one of the most powerful ways to influencing your reality. If you have not already, please do read Masaru Emoto's experiments with Water crystals. Gratitude is one of the most beautiful crystals. Here is a crystal of frozen water after exposure to gratitude.

13.01.2022 An endless sea of light To all the loving friends who so far, enjoy reading the adventures of Karuna as she journeys through life. Here I place before you one more engaging tale, although true in every aspect, its depths, the minds logic cannot comprehend. I returned to Australia after living more than 2 years in the Himalayan Mountains. During that time Id received personal guidance from two great masters. However this body suffered ongoing stress due to lack of suit...Continue reading

12.01.2022 A Spiritual awakening After a meaningless and humiliating marriage ended , my two year old daughter was stolen. This loss brought up strong and painful feelings. As a teenager of 12 or 13 years Id joined a yoga class. My teacher, an aussie in her late 60s, taught me Asanas, pranayama and meditation. But it was one particular practice which affected me more than all the others. She called this practice yoga mudra a sequence of moves which included exhaling and holdin...Continue reading

11.01.2022 The young Yogini’s Tapasya. Destiny carried this young and naïve Australian woman to the upper regions of the Himalayas. I disembarked an old bus close to the Tibetan border, in the Holy Pilgrimage Town of Badrinath. With not more than $50 tied in a knot at the end of a thin cotton sari and one change of cloth stuffed into a small shoulder bag I stared innocently into my future. This situation might normally cause one to worry but I felt no concern for my welfare or comforts....Continue reading

10.01.2022 Taking refuge with deformed lepers The Guru Gita, describes the Guru as the dispeller of darkness. How masters manage to dispel illusion in their disciples and how quickly that takes place, partly depends upon techniques but more with the masters identification as universal consciousness. . Although I had total faith in my Master, his teaching style caused me huge confusion. I came to him, as a naïve young woman from Australia, at the tender age of 23. It was only afte...Continue reading

07.01.2022 One time amongst the many times that I visited India, I was blessed with an extraordinary experience that changed something unfathomable inside me. My friend Bidisha, invited me to meet her grandfathers Guru who was the head teacher in an Ashram in Haridwah. She phoned the day before asking permission to bring her Australian friend to meet this gracious Swami. Unfortunatly thecrquest was refused as this ashram is not open to westerners for some reason. But overnight the... head swamiji must have reconsidered for some unknown reason and so early next morning he called Bidisha and said she was welcome to bring her friend Karuna and a special gluten free lunch would be provided plus a room for me to rest afterwards. On arrival the master, although expecting us, was In Meditation. Bidisha and I entered the meditation hall to pass the time while we waited. There we bowed to several dieties and a shiva lingum that was used for worship in the hall. One area was decorated lovingly as the place I presumed, where the grandfather guru's body still sat in meditation after he passed away many years ago. At this point I knew next to nothing about this lineage of masters, I did not know their tradition or even their names nor did my friend say much about the master id come to meet. It is said when a yogi passes away sitting in meditation if he is accomplished and prepared he can depart the body through the opening at the top of the head and is liberated. The disciples often encase their masters sitting body in a shrine known as a samadhi shrine. This is an ancient tradition which offers a tremendous blessing for future disciples as the uplifting presence the master remsins there. Without realising anything, I bowed my head in the direction of the grand masters shrine. As if swept up by a mighty wind of grace I was unexpectantly overwhelmed. Id entered a hightened spiritual experience. I could not raise my head, my eyes were streaming with tears and I saw my inner being radiating immense light. The light was a living concious light, moving like lightning and radiating out from my heart in all directions. There was an intense feeling of connectedness and of being finally home. i felt like i was at that centre from which all is generated. I lost conciousness for a short time in this divine electrical energy. Some experiences are rare and beyond description and this was one. Here is picture of the grandfather master his shrine and my friend bidisha. See more

07.01.2022 There is a great silence that rings with purity like a divine eternal song. There is no place it is not but we give little time if any at all to hear it. It stretches across the universe and moves every heart but most hearts do not recognise it as they seek and value love, fame and wealth elsewhere. Our lives are transformed by associating with this profound inner all encompassing song but who sits to listen? One must make time to listen to surrender into its Loving presen...ce. This is the joy and bliss of a solitary contemplative life. Many saints and masters have spoken of this vast ringing silence. In this world of a million options is there one who gives no more value to the multitude than the silent voice of the Divine? If so i really want to meet you. I have made my sankalpa to sit quietly for as much as is possible to be in the presence of this great loving silence. If anyone wishes to join me for individual uplifting spiritual talks and to meditate, walk in the forrest or share a meal together you are most welcome. Please call me.0408705650 I will not be continuing with classes in the near future. This is my time to surrender. May everyone be fullfilled and have success in their efforts to find their spiritual home. All your loving wishes of support are of great value and appreciated as i relearn to be still once more. May we all realise our true unity in that Divine one

06.01.2022 On sitting quietly in the early hours before the dawn. Amidst the swell of fragrant incense and dressed in a sacred veil of causeless love this life passes before my inner eye. What becomes clear and undeniable is, those periods of life when I commit to being alone, embracing silence, meditating, singing my heart into the heart of the beloved or just listening to the inner voice, this has given me more than anything or anyone else has ever done. If I remain lingering in tha...t joyous cathedral, just as a lover who is loathed to depart from their loved one and return again and again to dwell there, my outer life transforms. It is not a hard practice requiring a lot of disciple that makes the difference, it is not by fear of anyone or anything in this world, it is not that anyone has told me I must do this, but rather it is the quenching of thirst by drinking from a well of infinite beatitude. Falling in love there, where one depends on nothing and no one for support, is the fulfilment of life. See more

06.01.2022 I sometimes get asked. 'What does it mean to take Sanyas and become a Swami?' It is some how similair to a punctuation mark. Like a fullstop that denotes the end of a sentence, where we make a pause. Sanyas is a pause, a contemplative period in life where the deeper aspects and purpose are dwelt upon as upper most. Where 'who we are not,' is exchanged more for 'who we are' It is also like a marriage. When a loving couple honour their commitment and are blessed by t...he good wishes of loved ones. Accepting Sanyas, acknowledges a inner commitment. Through the traditional ceremony or initiation a sacred blessing is bestowed from the parampara or lineage of enlightened masters. Sanyas has less to do with wearing the orange cloth and seeking respect from others or being superior in any way. In truth it is more about constant recognition of our unity. Where light radiates directly from the heart, unfiltered. This light manifests as love in service to others. Service can be on many levels. It can also be just sitting quietly and radiating that pure love. It can be that we make ourselves available to others who are suffering. It can be speaking encouraging or inspirational words. It can also be a little unpleasant by pointing out obstacles to truth. I am not always in orange robes as nobody is looking and it makes me seem strange here in Australia, but my focus remains the same. May we all find rest and contentment in infinite awareness. 03.01.2022 Meditation makes your soul shine, it brings forth an inner timeless beauty that is not diminished with age. It gives a deep perspective with greater valuable than counceling, psychology, philosophy or friendly advice. When faced with life's disappointments seek solace in meditation. The inner rain of eternal light can then soothe the pain by restoring a truer perspective. After all, emotions are just like clouds which briefly cover the sky of pure awareness.
