22.01.2022 Gabi and Peanut settling well into the work life at Keyson Park, both to be started under saddle

22.01.2022 Keyson Park turns 2! Cannot be more grateful to everyone who has supported me / my business these last 2 years; I'm so incredibly thankful that I get to do this day in day out as my full time job. Keyson Park is growing rapidly, and I suspect there will be some huge (but exciting!) changes over the next 12 months. I thought Corona would squash my business to nothing but I've been so blessed that it's grown us even more. Thankyou so much, to every client who believes in me to work with your horse. Cheers to 2 years

22.01.2022 First trots for Noah ride #3 and once again being patient has truly paid off. How relaxed is he? Notice his inner ear coming back to me and being attentive? Im so proud of this dude, he looks like hes done it all before

19.01.2022 COVID - 19 Update. Until the Melbourne Metro lockdown is over, there are a few temporary changes I am taking on board at Keyson Park. At this stage I will not be: - Conducting lessons in person. - Coming to your property and riding (this includes test riding of horses for sale).... - Massaging. I am still however: - Accepting horses in for breaking /training (Am still sussing out the rules for pickup and drop off) - Conducting FaceTime lessons for riders and the kids who do theory. I will be in contact with those who have booked in for any of these over the next few days. Please bare with me as Ive been inundated with messages and calls. Im only 1 person and Im trying my best as we all are in these testing times. Hang in there team, its only temporary. Love always, Jess

16.01.2022 Very interesting and something to be super mindful of

16.01.2022 Covid has closed the pools. Had to improvise. Bramble, not impressed.

16.01.2022 Should introduce my two latest personal projects! As If Im not busy enough, I recently got these two beautiful Off The Track thoroughbreds to retrain for new careers. Chestnut gelding "Cappy"... Unnamed 2015 Helmet x Canadian Legacy. Future plans to be a show hunter/heavyweight hack. Hes spelled down for 6 months and is ready to start his new career. Bay gelding "Remi" (Raced as Rhames) 2015 High Chaparral x Sheer Fantazee. Remi was one of my regular rides at the track and was well known for his quiet, cuddly demeanour. Always gentle and never fizzy. Hes settled straight into the cruisey life at Keyson Park and is gently working with 1 or 2 walk rides a week while he lets down. Future plans to be a show hack (would be an amazing teen or ladies mount) or a fun pony club/adult riders horse. He will make the best "first thoroughbred" for someone. Both boys are sound physically and mentally, and are going to make cracker horses in their disciplines. Big thankyou to the owners and trainers for letting me be a part of the horses new careers. Stay tuned to see how they both develop

14.01.2022 Following a crazy year, Jess will be taking a holiday from the 21st until the 3rd of January and will only be working the horses in house for training. If you wish to book a massage or lesson for the new year please contact us by messenger or call Jess on 0421943346 as places will be very limited to outside travel due to the amount of horses coming in for work.

13.01.2022 Its about connection

13.01.2022 Poppy being a very good girl

12.01.2022 This is why Christine from ACATT is so awesome, not only is her college where I gained my Sports Therapy qualification, she's one of the most diverse and analytical practitioners in the YV. Acupuncture, Herbal mixes, Gait Analysis and so much more.

12.01.2022 Some desensitization for Gabi in this miserable weather

11.01.2022 Noah giving this ridden thing his best go

11.01.2022 First ride done and dusted for this beautiful 007 Gelding, Ollie

11.01.2022 Pretty garbage quality but a before an after of sweet girl Minx Another treatment to follow up the progress next week.

11.01.2022 EOI CURRENTLY BOOKED TO GO ON TRIAL. ENQUIRY STILL WELCOME 2013 Bay mare, 11.2 approx. Broken to saddle, quiet but forward. Has been to pony club, trail ...rides, alone or in company. Jumps cute, moves huge. Forward moving and not suitable for beginners as she's quick off the leg due to being broken in and schooled by a small adult for almost all of her ridden life. Soft mouth but plays with the bit so makes ugly faces lol. Sassy mare but honest nature. The type that will either love you to the moon and back or won't look twice your way. If you're her friend she'll give you the world. Has spent the last 10 months with a young boy dotting around at home doing trails, flatwork and general kid stuff. Easy to needle, worm, clip and do feet. Float alone or in company. She's not a "kiss my nose 100x and brush me all day" type, she's a hardworking career woman who wants to get the job done and go back to her paddock to eat. Last chance to sell as a saddle pony before I send her off to start in harness in the new year. Once upon a time she was rego'd with AMHS with her old owners. I have no copy of those papers, only a photo i was sent when I got her back in 2016. I repeat, she is NOT for beginners. Confident gutsy pony club kids or farmer kids would be perfect Shes ridiculously tolerant of my dumb behaviour she just doesn't mesh with a hot seated rider. Spent years being a test dummy for studying massage students to learn on at the Australian College of Animal Tactile Therapy being poked and prodded by all types of handlers. Vet checks, bloods xrays etc all absolutely welcome. Honest, motivated seller looking to find this little pocket rocket her new tiny human. Home is the most important part and 2 professional references (your vet being one of them) will be required before any money exchanges hands. Currently in light work (1 - 2x a week). PM me or call for further enquiry . 0421943346.

10.01.2022 Remember riders, we are athletes too and also need body work! Fixing my crookedness one session at a time, thanks to my incredible sponsor Christine Scully Peep my pre treatment body- bent and out of shape is an understatement! I thought I was standing perfectly straight Thanks to Covid - 19, Ive been unable to get treatment for a few months now and boy am I glad to be back! Lots of follow up treatments to come alongside going back to a regular maintenance program. Sooo many riders ignore getting their own body work done and their horses can become unbalanced or overworked trying to compensate as a result. To be fair on our horse (especially breakers or greenies) we need to be as straight and as balanced as we can possibly be.

10.01.2022 Khaleesi has gone home to become miss reliable for her family

10.01.2022 I love hill work so much, look at that core

10.01.2022 Alfie and Peanut keeping us very entertained with their antics These TT Prince Perfect babies are super athletic with an outstanding work ethic Love having them around

09.01.2022 Key Rug Repairs made us some work boots a few weeks ago and we've been giving them an absolute thrashing here at Keyson Park; they are holding up to multiple horses a day, constant sanitizer soakings and scrubbing off wet sand with stiff brushes Not even so much as a pulled thread or popped stitch, we give these a 10/10 !

08.01.2022 Welcoming aboard my one and only sponsored pair, Rosa Cleve and Belmore Park Perfect Dancer. You may recognize this dude from recent pictures, its Peanut who is currently here to be started under saddle! Im very excited to have such a lovely pair join the team of Keyson Park, and always Im endlessly proud of their achievements. Read Rosas story below ... My name is Rosa and this is my stunning Dutch Riding Pony x - Belmore Park Perfect Dancer, aka Pea. Ive owned Pea since he was a yearling and Jess from Keyson Park has assisted me from early on. I had a few teething issues with handling and tying up when I first got Pea, but the gentle hands of Jess quickly got him on board. Since then, Pea and I have grown as a partnership, competing at all levels, from Ag to Royal level. Im so honoured to have Jess break in and give Pea the best start to life. And Im even more honoured to be an ambassador for all the work that Jess does. Ive used every aspect of her business, young horse handling, massage therapy, gait analysis and injury rehabilitation, having her run Pea out at shows and now breaking and educating. I cant wait for Peas future under saddle now he has had the best start!

08.01.2022 I cant believe Im typing this, but now taking bookings for April 2021! If youre hoping to get in earlier, send me a PM as I have a wait list for any cancellations and you may get in sooner. I think I need to build more paddocks - Jess

08.01.2022 Mosman Park Valenc looking absolutely adorable

06.01.2022 One of the newest breakers investigating I encourage horses to fulfill their curiosity, I find generally I get a quieter horse as a result of being allowed to explore and investigate. Encourage own bravery, discourage shut down submission !

05.01.2022 Merry Christmas to everyone, thank you all for a wonderful year of horses. I cannot wait to share with you all the huge plans for Keyson Park over the next few months. Give your ponies a cuddle and a carrot for me, and I'll see you all in the New Year. - Jess ... Ft. David the horse Suzannah Johnson See more
