25.01.2022 Question: How many people are reported missing each year in Australia? It is estimated that 35,000 people are reported missing each year in Australia. This equates to one person every 15 minutes. This is a rate of 1.7 people per 1,000 Australians Of the estimated 35,000 people who are reported missing in Australia, more than 95 per cent are located within a short period of time (usually one week). However there remains a significant number, more than 1,600, who are listed as long-term missing, that is, missing for more than six months.

24.01.2022 Healthy self-esteem is like a childs armor against the challenges of the world. Thank you for all those people who so graciously liked our Facebook page. We only started it recently and are still finding our way. I started the business Kids Armor more than a year ago because as a mother of two the safety of my kids is very important and I was sure there are a lot of parents out there that feel the same. That is why is started researching for technology that can assist me. ...A colleague of me once said that the older our children gets, the more challenging it becomes to keep them safe and solve their problems, and that is so true. As babies we just feed them, keep them warm and make sure they are healthy and happy. As they get older the challenges mounts. My son is now at an age in school where self-esteem is the difference between success and failure and I am reading as much on it so that I can assist him, even if he does not always know I am doing it. I have come across the following article in KidsHealth and would love to share it with you. http://kidshealth.org/pa/emotions/feelings/self_esteem.html

While a lost child can get hurt or, worse yet, abducted, the good news is missing children are most often found and reunited with their caregivers quickly... and unharmed. Even with a safe return, getting lost can leave scary, indelible memories for both child and parent. With Mommy Im here you can instantly locate your child with the touch of a button!

18.01.2022 Question: Do you need to wait 24 hours before reporting a person missing? We have all seen movies and TV stories where somebody goes missing and the family is told that the police cannot do something until a person is missing for 24 hours. You DO NOT have to wait 24 hours to report someone as missing. If you have serious concerns for the safety and welfare of a person, and their whereabouts are unknown, then you may immediately report them missing to your local police. Police will take a report where there are concerns for safety and welfare and their whereabouts are unknown.
