25.01.2022 Hi everyone. Due to the outbreak of COVID in NSW we are waiting for pending announcements on the situation over the next few days. 24.01.2022 NO NIGHT MARKET Due to the outbreak of COVID in the Northern Beaches and the reintroduction of border closures and increased restrictions, we WILL NOT be resuming our market in January. We are extremely disappointed, but the safety of the public remains our utmost priority. ... Thank you all for your understanding, and we hope you all remain safe and happy during the festive season. 24.01.2022 We are preparing and planning for our markets to relaunch and have our new signage thanks to NR Signs. At this stage we are hoping to recommence in September. This will be dependent on the status of outbreaks of Covid19 in QLD, NSW and Victoria. We are at this stage opting to put everyone's safety first and NOT trade due to the difficulty in controlling numbers in a park and the confusion around social distancing.... We do understand everyone is keen to trade and/or attend our events but we feel the safety of the public is paramount. In the meantime we are rebuilding a new website, developing a new marketing strategy and looking at improving our market infrastructure. Stay up-to-date at our website www.kingscliffevents.com.au

21.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone. MARKET UPDATE Our market remains suspended at this time. ... We have had a lot of enquiries with regard to when we will be recommencing, and we appreciate that everyone is keen to get back to it. Unfortunately it is impossible for us to comply to the current trade restrictions in NSW with regard to social distancing and numbers per m2. Our park area is small and the number of people that attend our market and line for street food makes it virtually impossible to control safely. We do apologise but there is not a lot that we can do. We will continue to post updates from time to time, and in the meantime, you can enjoy our excellent restaurant and cafe precinct here in Kingscliff. Stay well everyone. 19.01.2022 WET WEATHER UPDATE (Wed 24 March) The sun is back and there is no longer a severe warning in place for the Northern Rivers. There's lots of water still on... the roads - so stay safe and if it’s flooded, forget! Tweed Valley Way is closed southbound at Melaleuca station - and only one lane is open northbound. A number of other routes remain closed due to water over the road. Check the Emergency Dashboard for the latest: https://emergency.tweed.nsw.gov.au/ Our crews are out cleaning up, removing debris and repairing damage. Stotts Creek tip is open. Household bins will be collected if the trucks can access your street. If your bins aren’t collected - leave them out and we’ll come back as soon as we can. Crews will be in Tumbulgum to bring the sewer system back online when conditions allow. Minor flooding in the village has eased. Report flooded roads, road damage, debris on roads (such as tree falls and landslips) to Council 24/7 on 02 6670 2400. Until social distancing rules are relaxed, we are unable to trade.... We understand that other markets have begun trading again and we have taken the time to visit these and observe safety practices and how people are adhering to social distancing signage. We still feel it is too difficult to control safe distancing practices in the park and would prefer to wait until further restrictions are lifted. ... We do understand that people are very keen to both trade and visit, but we are more focused on eliminating any risk and would prefer to wait. We thank you for your understanding.
