25.01.2022 What a great day of exploring our learning environment today, both inside and outside. We look forward to welcoming our group two of 2021 community of learners tomorrow.

25.01.2022 Challenging ourselves to greater heights! Using momentum to push ourselves higher.

24.01.2022 With much wonder today, we discovered a tiny egg and caterpillar on branches Carol has bought in for us to explore! We predict that caterpillars and not chickens will hatch from the egg!

23.01.2022 It was such a beautiful day! Filled with learning We recognised words and numbers, noticed similarities and differences and was enchanted by a new environment.

21.01.2022 Well thats a wrap for this terms adventures at bush kindy Today with the sun shining we enthusiastically used our skills as observers to discover new paths, our ability to paint a landscape picture, discovered if sticks float or sink and that their is more than one creek with tadpoles. Although we are sad that our bush kindy adventure is over, we look forward to our next challenge Beach Kindy next term! We will be holding one beach kindy excursion this term for the Thursday ...children that was cancelled in term one due to Covid. More photos to follow

20.01.2022 A morning of adventures, we are looking forward to an adventurous afternoon of exploring!

19.01.2022 For some people, Fathers Day is a wonderful celebration of the dad who proudly cheers at every school carnival, the dad who loves school pick-up and drop-off, ...and the dad who always helps with homework. But for other people, Fathers Day is a reminder of what they might not have. Thats why there is no one-size-fits-all for today.

18.01.2022 With much excitement we are watching the workmen this afternoon! Some of us think they are goal posts while others think they are flag poles!

18.01.2022 Vickys group explored the concept of what happens when you add food colouring to milk?

18.01.2022 After excitedly checking the letterbox and finding an envelope addressed to us, we excitedly sat down in the sunshine to see what was inside. Huge smiles appeared on our faces when we opened it up and found home made cards from the Residents at the Helping Hand Centre. We carefully looked at each card and with some help (even though we could recognise some words) we read the cards from our friends. Conversation quickly turned to what we could send back to our friends, watch ...this space as we work on our reply. As educators we love to see the blossoming relationships the children are making with their friends at the helping hand centre.

18.01.2022 We love Mr Clickety Cane at kindy, make sure you tune in!

11.01.2022 What a beautiful day to explore the Central Market and City Garden We used all of our senses to taste, touch, smell and hear everything the market has on offer! Thank you to Haighs chocolates for welcoming the children into the store to sample some chocolate and show us the process of chocolate making. With our hats on we explored the botanical gardens using our skills of being noticed and wonderers of the environment around us.... More photos to follow We will be repeating this experience early next term for the children that did not attend today.

11.01.2022 We had a great adventure at the central market and the Botanical Gardens. Lots of wondering, noticing, using our senses, discussing and communicating about our ventures.

10.01.2022 This morning in small groups we hypothesis that the book titled twig was a story about the tooth fairy. We realised as Sarah read the words it was a story about a stick that could camouflage!! We decided to make our very own Heidi. Have a look at our learning.

09.01.2022 Much discussion today about why the blossom on the fruit trees are different colours, many theories were put forward including: Bees change the colour Sun is on one tree and not the other They are different trees The more flowers the more they change colour... We need to water them so they are the same colour. With watering cans in hands we watered the trees to see if the last theory is right! See more

09.01.2022 While at the market we explored the concept of what a busker is, we watched on in awe as the violinist played music that sounds like a ballerina Make sure you listen out for the sounds of the music in our foyer next week.

09.01.2022 Taking risks developing our core

09.01.2022 Well today was the last of our bush kindy experiences at Para Wirra for 2020. Rosie and Cecilias group took an interest in the variety of flowers that we noticed on our walk. They knew about the ant holes and successfully crossed several water ways. We learnt about landscapes and horizons from Carol and we became bush artists. After visiting the heli pad we developed a fascination with our shadows and the dry waterways on the track.

08.01.2022 Please see attached information We look forward to seeing all of our friends again next week
