21.01.2022 Back taking bookings at PainFit Integrated Health Staying happy and healthy during this time is integral and if you need a remedial treatment to help with that feel free to get in contact for an appointment! Hygiene is always a very important factor in all clinic spaces but we've adjusted and added further protocols to fit with current guidelines and to keep you as safe as we can during this time. This has included:... Completing the Government Covid-19 Infection Control training Complying with the Covid-19 guidelines and protocols the wonderful team at PainFit have created Arriving only 5 minutes before an appointment - if earlier than that they are asked to remain within their cars until 5 minutes before As with current guidelines MASKS MUST BE WORN throughout appointment (both client and practitioner MUST abide by this) Asking clients to wash their hands upon arriving into the clinic for their appointment Providing hand sanitiser within clinic spaces as well as at reception Limiting treatment times to 45minutes and having a mandatory 15minutes between clients to allow for the disposal and disinfecting protocols to be followed If clients are feeling unwell or have any Covid-19 like symptoms they are asked not to come in but call reception immediately to cancel or reschedule their appointment and follow Government recommendations based off their symptoms. Thank you so much for your understanding, patience and cooperation during this difficult time. Laura

13.01.2022 It's taken 2 and a 1/2 years but after a 3 week intensive (all at an approved social distance and with immaculate hygiene protocols), I've completed my studies to become a Myotherapist. As hard and challenging as it has been to change gears and study again, I've never been so happy to take on those challenges and make the step into a career and industry that I love.

12.01.2022 Busy day yesterday at the Dragon Boating Victoria Chinese New Year regatta. Treated the champ (Linda) last night so she's all prepped for another days racing today

04.01.2022 The Melbourne lockdown period seems like it's been never ending but there is light on the horizon. We are getting there! And as soon as we can Myotherapy will be back available and ready to support you once more. Thank you so much for your continued support through this tough time X

03.01.2022 Hiya, My name is Laura and I'm a Remedial Massage Therapist. I've just joined the clinic at PainFit Integrated Health Centre in Edithvale. I found love of sport and fitness at a young age, keen to try everything including swimming, netball, basketball, gymnastics and rugby I eventually settled on Athletics and cross country competing at a high level in both (starting my career and later coaching for 10 years at Chelsea Little Athletics club). This love helped me to complete a... Bachelor of Exercise Science at the Australian Catholic University. Then moving into a Graduate Diploma of Education I taught for 4 and years, including 2 and years spent teaching in the UK, this lead to me having a wealth of knowledge and diverse experience to draw upon. Ultimately I decided to move back to Melbourne to pursue a career change choosing to undertake a Diploma of Remedial Massage at RMIT, I am relishing the new challenge this change has provided. I am also currently furthering my education by studying an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy. I haven't lost my love of running competing in trail running races of varying distances having recently completed the 50km Surf Coast Century finishing 10th female and 28th overall. Not always smooth sailing however having the dreaded runners injuries ITBFS and Plantar Fasciopathy the knowledge I have gained from my endurance background, my own injuries and all of my studies has given me a passion for rehabilitation and injury prevention to ensure people are performing at their best whatever they choose to do. A love of passing on knowledge runs deep especially of it can help someone return to what they love. Thanks for visiting my page and if you're keen to book in feel free to contact me via my email: [email protected]
