25.01.2022 Around this time 8 years ago my husband and I made the move to the Redcliffe Peninsula to settle and raise our children. This year has been quite a journey, through both business and personal growth, its pushed me out of my comfort zone and I’ve learnt so much. So many amazing blessings have unfolded and I am so grateful for them. I’m so honoured to meet so many wonderful, inspired and courageous business leaders on the Peninsula, who I’m proud to call my friends. Inspired l...eadership is a mix of standing in your integrity, being a positive role model to bring the best out in others, to selflessly encourage others to be the very best they can be. Great leadership is about cultivating relationships and showing up with vulnerability, compassion, kindness and a smile. Over my past 20 years in business, it’s been unfortunate to also witness some poor leadership at times too. My KEY point here is that no amount of money, status, and power can make you a great leader. Gossiping and talking poorly behind peoples backs is not OKAY, it just reflects poorly against your own character and people notice that. A great leader knows that every great business is built on friendship, treating people with respect and kindness, showing compassion and cultivating those relationships with the highest integrity. Leadership is all about action, not position. Community over competition. Collaboration over control. At the end of all of this I just want to encourage others to SPEAK UP if they don’t like how they’re being treated or if they see something that’s not right. The standard you walk by is a standard you ultimately accept. 20.01.2022 Late last week I shared a pot of tea with my friends, @neneandbop & Monique (who prefers not to be on social media, fair enough) and we created our vision boards whilst chatting about everything business! Here is my simple explanation of why they work so well! Creating a sacred space that displays what you want actually does bring it to life! What we focus on expands! When you create a vision board and place it in a space where you see it often, you essentially end up doing s...hort visualization exercises throughout the day. KEY! Anything I want to see come into my life, I cut a little photo/image out & put it on the fridge, (just like my new home plans that my husband and I will one day build on our land. ) I've had many things come to fruition through this daily visualization practice. So, what’s the big secret to creating a vision board that works? It's simple: YOUR VISION BOARD SHOULD FOCUS ON HOW YOU WANT TO FEEL, not just on things that you want. Don't get me wrong, it's great to include the material stuff, too. The purpose of your vision board is to bring everything on it to life. First, think about what your goals are in the following areas, relationships, career and finances, home, travel, personal growth (including spirituality, social life, education) and health.
