12.01.2022 PHONE CALLS After you have spent your time, effort and money Advertising trying to get new customers dont let it go to waste. When a new client calls or text you, if you cant answer or miss the call then call back ASAP and make sure you have a professional voicemail.... The longer you leave them waiting the more chance they will ring someone else. And when you do get onto them try to get there to give a quote as quickly as you can or when it suits the customer. Not on Thursday arvo because you will be around that way then (unless you are travelling long distances which you shouldnt be). If you can answer the phone or ring back promptly and get there for a quote fairly quickly then you will impress the customer before you even quote giving a higher chance of success.

10.01.2022 SCHEDULING APPS!!! This is a hot topic on many groups and business owners minds. This is what we have come up with thanks to a push along from Justin Watson from JUSTeMOW and his new green, all battery business, AAAND a fair bit of research.... It is not a comprehensive list and we have probably missed some, but we tried to compare the most relevant and helpful apps in our opinion. Any app where we struggled to find all the info or their website sucked then we booted them off the list except for keep it easy as I have heard good things in the past but struggled to find a proper list of features. Along with the comparison we also took survey results from around 100 lawnies. These results showed jobber, servicem8 and the good old diary and pen running at even odds. Keep in mind that most of these options still require you to have accounting software too. We concluded that if you dont have many customers and you are on a tight budget then you can stick with the diary, google calender and keep it simple. But if you plan to expand with more customers and employees then you should consider and app. If you are already getting big or plan to have employees or just really want to have a good go at it then you should get an app to help your business become more efficient. One of the biggest upsides we think, apart from all the obvious benifits, is when you are ready to sell or need to sell. Your app will be the perfect package to present to a potential purchaser. You old school guys should keep this in mind too, its hard to sell a mowing business for a good price. The overall winner for us is servicem8, just edging out jobber by price and the sms service option, with service autopilot one to look out for when it is ready for aus. Please note we are not affiliated with any of these companies. Please do your own research as there are many price options to suit different businesses. The picture is a bit crappy but we have also attached a pdf copy to the group page.

07.01.2022 Hope everyone is taking it easy. Cheers guys
