25.01.2022 It was wacky April Fools Day ,keeping up the fun and games

24.01.2022 Well the cooler weather has definitely started to settle in here at Lee Hostel! The residents have definitely been spending a lot of time outside in the sun enjoying the gardens, before it becomes to cold to do so! We hope everyone in surrounding areas are keeping warm as cooler weather starts to arrive.

23.01.2022 In the last month we have welcomed two new residents. Beth is a local,well known to many,owning the Dry cleaners for many years.Ron is also a familiar face he has been driving the Taxi in Blayney. We welcome you both

23.01.2022 We would like to extend a big thank you to Blayney Public School and their students for sending us these beautiful visual delights! Although we can't gather together due to restrictions, we greatly appreciate the positive feedback we have had from you and our community!

23.01.2022 We wish to invite all our friends and family members to the 29th Lee Hostel Annual General Meeting, on Wednesday the 28th of October at 3:00pm, at the Blayney Community Centre, 41 Church Street, Blayney. This will be followed by a light afternoon tea. You must be a member to vote or nominate for a position on the Board, but the meeting is open to all community members. Membership is $2.00 and forms are available from Lee Hostel. Nomination for Board positions are due by 5:00pm 21st of October, nomination forms available from Lee Hostel.

19.01.2022 Lee Hostel hopes all Aussie Dad's enjoyed Father's Day just like we did at our luncheon! A feast of fish and chips were served from the local takeaway, and a beautiful punch made by the staff of Lee Hostel.

17.01.2022 LEE HOSTEL'S GOT TALENT Lee Hostel residents held a 'Lee Hostel's Got Talent' show and they did certainly impress! From the nut-bush, to country singing, to showing us 'These Boots are Made for Walking'. Congratulations to all of the residents on their wonderful performances!

16.01.2022 Whether it be inside or outside, Lee Hostel residents have been keeping very active and entertained around the hostel! Gardening, looking after the chickens, bowls, exercises and so much more happening!

15.01.2022 Lee Hostel is doing our best with the resources we've got to abide by COVID-19 restrictions during this time. One of our very own staff members has put her hand up to help with haircuts throughout the Hostel! A big thank you!

13.01.2022 Lee Hostel was truly overwhelmed today with virtual hugs and thank you gifts from the staff and students at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, thank you! We cannot thank the local Blayney community enough for the support we have received during COVID-19 restrictions. The residents of Lee Hostel enjoyed a Mother’s Day luncheon together today. Smiling faces all around! A big thank you to all the families and friends who helped to collate an abundance of family photos for Mother’s Day. We hope all Mum’s enjoy a lovely Mother’s Day this Sunday!

12.01.2022 Well it has been quite a while since we have given the community an update of what's going on at Lee Hostel and oh my, so much has been going on! A big thank you to the residents who have refurbished the roundabout garden, it looks incredible and full of life! The backyard is also full of colour with freshly painted and potted plants. Since our last update, Lee Hostel has invested in the installation of solar panels. Check them out in the photos below! ... Mrs Masters presented her beautiful collection of textile work she has created over the years. Thank you for sharing these works with all of us! And last but not least, we have all certainly been enjoying and soaking up the warm weather that has most recently arrived. We have our fingers crossed for more sunny days!

12.01.2022 We would like to wish Shirley a very happy birthday for yesterday! Her nephew Andrew brought a beautiful big cake to celebrate the occasion. Shirley also received many birthday wishes from Lee Hostel residents, staff, family and friends!

08.01.2022 This morning, Lee Hostel residents are raising awareness for Breast and Prostate Cancer by dressing up in pink and blue for the day. A beautiful breakfast spread was served with pastries, fresh fruit and last but not least eggs and bacon, yum! Thank you to all who have joined in

08.01.2022 Lee Hostel would like to extend our gratitude to Liz from 'Little Tings'. Little Tings is a new shop that has opened up in Adelaide Street, Blayney. Liz has kindly donated each resident at Lee Hostel a pair of warm gloves for the current cold conditions we are experiencing. Just in time for the snow we think! The residents were so very humbled by this kind gesture, we cannot express our appreciation enough. The smiles on the resident's faces says it all!

04.01.2022 Lee Hostel's Ninja Warrior Champions Ninja Warrior has been a popular evening show as of late at Lee Hostel, so we ran our own course! What a turnout! Thank you to all residents who attended and joined in. We would like to say, the track really tested each competitor with its obstacles! We especially will not forget the last stage of the track.... 'dress to impress!' ... We can't wait to hold more events like this in the future!

04.01.2022 An early, but very enjoyable Easter lunch and Easter egg hunt today! Even some of our little chicks managed to find some eggs of their own! A big congratulations to Beth Commins, who is the winner of our Easter Raffle 2020.

03.01.2022 The sun is out, and so are the residents at Lee Hostel! It has been a beautiful change with some warmer weather arriving today. It seems like spring is just around the corner! If you would like to share any of your photos of the sunny weather, post them in the comments below!

03.01.2022 The winter chills have certainly settled here in Blayney! Recently there has been some new work being done on the roundabout garden which is located out the front of Lee Hostel. Our (not so little) fish who lives in the pond has received some much needed pamper treatment. The garden revamp is to be continued! A big thank you to one of our relatives who has created a beautiful textile piece for upcoming birthday celebrations! (as per photo attached).... A reminder to our friends and families that Skype and Zoom are available to utilise at Lee Hostel if you wish to video call your loved one!

02.01.2022 SIX STEPS TO STOP THE SPREAD - Families and Visitors of Lee Hostel.

02.01.2022 Lee Hostel residents have been keeping entertained this week with many indoor activities, (especially since the cold weather has decided to hit Blayney). Thank you to one of our nurses who brought in the life-like baby dolls, nothing like nursing a little baby! Bowling was a big hit this week, a large turn out created a lot of competition between residents. One of our lovely residents utilised 'Zoom' to speak with her family through video call. Any family members who are interested are more than welcome to let us know if they would like to utilise 'Skype' or 'Zoom' to video call their loved ones. We hope everyone is staying well!
