25.01.2022 We take a lot of pride in the care we offer Agistment horses. Theres a LOT of effort that goes into it. Every horse here is the picture of health emerging from winter. From left to right we have a few pics from the last week. Bayley who is now 20. Enjoying being a rug free boy until he has to go into a mesh later in the year as he has severe itchy reactions to ticks. Hes living the life of luxury in ridden retirement with his friends. Bundy pictured after he had a nice cool... bath when he woke up sweaty from sedation having his teeth done. (With His eyes were a little weepy with spring so hed had some ointment and one of our new fly veils used. Bundy is 28! Then we have lovely Buck, who was just waking up from sedation and ready to have a wash after some extensive investigations into persistent lameness. We are all working together to offer the best care going forward for Buck to help him return to soundness. And last but not least Dooke ofcourse! Whos proof that working hard on focused, deliberate strategies that Include many factors work. We are very fortunate to have access to incredible teams of remarkable professionals in their field, and rely on their expertise to help us with the care of horses here. We have just two agistment places left and all info can be found on our pinned post for 2020 Agistment packages x See more

25.01.2022 Me Hello handsome. Do you come here often? Arnie. *eye roll* you’re such an embarrassment mum. Also - are you healed yet? I’m bored. Can we go for a ride? Yes why do you think you’re having a bath and rug back on. So you look owned again you big feral child@cen_horse @manildraequine #agistment #equineprofessionals #rehabcare

24.01.2022 Three very important Legacy team members! Tegan our long time brilliant stable manager, Les our hey Les can you just give me a hand with this please extraordinaire and his little mate Benny. Benny is our bent legged little pack member i adopted from a shelter about five years ago. He isnt really built for form or function, isnt very well behaved, nor does he limit his barking to something instead of a fkn heap of nothing. He has ongoing therapeutic treatments to stay mob...ile but it doesnt stop him. He hitched a ride on the quad with me, and was out there fencing with us today wading in the creek like he was the bestest farm doggy that ever was. And we all love him - mostly. Benny keeps telling himself one day Les will pack him into his lunch box and take him home. Maybe one day. In all seriousness though we wouldnt be able to run this place the way we do without these guys! They take my fussiness and sometimes scattered mile a minute thoughts and ideas about feed and poo and fences and herds and weeds and stables and worms and meds and and and , like great sports mostly with a smile and I really enjoy having them here as part of our team. #teamlegacy #legacyequestrianteam See more

22.01.2022 If this isn’t the cutest thing you’ve ever seen! Lilah is leasing out pony Toffee. And dedicates all her time to caring for and loving her best friend. (With the help of her equally horse mad dedicated mum ). You can even hear her calling out saying when it was ok to trot. Haha . Toffee has been tricky to care for. We got her just over a year ago and she had rotation of her pedal bones from years of recurrent laminitis bouts, heaps of body issues as well as undiagnosed or... treated cushings. She’s medicated and doing well, on a correct managed nutrition plan ofcourse and has has lots of regular bodywork. We trialled shoes but they weren’t ideal so she’s now got bare feet snd a pair of therapeutic boots plus her new best friends mum got her a pair of snazzy scoot boots for ease of riding as her therapy ones are a bit heavy. A super loved pony that’s for sure. We are thrilled that toffee is getting so much adoration from this great family. How cute is this pair?? In a halter too. #goodponiesmaketheworldgoround #goodponiesmakeconfidentkids

22.01.2022 Happy 8 weeks and 2 days Kodie (see pics of arrival at the end ) just under two months. WP Kodie. 5yo Guy Fawkes heritage registered brumby ..... GELDING!! and recovered well from the castration as you can see. Teeth now - we wanted to wait to make sure he’d recovered well. Kodie is about 15hh. 22.01.2022 Sometimes it’s easy we forget how far we’ve come. Especially for anyone like me - who’s is constantly hard on themselves. Arnie was my no means unhealthy when he arrived in August 2019 (last two pics) compared to the first two from Today’s ride. there’s no denying how much his body has changed in the year he’s been here looking after me he turns 6 in a couple of weeks. #hanoveriansofinstagram #manildraequine #cenhorse #missysbucket

22.01.2022 Scooter isnt the usual horse we take on. But we wanted to help a great long term client out andddddd hes this cute. Scooter was the surprise cargo when we handled lovely little Iszy for our client a couple of years ago. A darling roan welsh mare. And whilst we cant guarantee his parentage with no rego, its pretty obvious hes a welshie. She was smaller than him so Id even guess his sire may be a section C cob. Scooter turns 2 next month so we feel he isnt ready to be s...tarted under saddle and ridden. Hes been gelded with us by the vets, this week he will have his dental and next week feet. Hes also had his 2in 1 Vax and will have his booster too. Scooter will be a available with a further two weeks handling by us. Exposing him to all sorts and practicing float loading as well. His price is $1k plus gst. Hes a super friendly personable little dude. measured at 12.3H and still a little growing to do) if he doesnt find his people in the next few weeks we will turn him out for six months to grow some more. Please dont ask if hes broken in or what lever of rider he will suit. Hes NOT started under saddle. Once he is his price will not be a thousand dollars. He is priced to purely cover costs and youll get two weeks free handling! Definitely has the temperament youd develop a kids horse from. Ofcourse welcome to keep scooter here and agist with us Located berry NSW all pics from today. And please feel free to share and tag. X See more

21.01.2022 Guess who? #canmove #feelsgreat #rehab #mindfulhorsetrading #tryingtodotherightthing #ForSale #notonsalethough

21.01.2022 All of rorys dreams have come true and he finally has a mini me as bloody annoying as he is to play with. Scooter. They were immediately best friends. No surprises there. Professional pests incorporated

21.01.2022 And just like that they became best friends. I was contacted a couple of days ago by Ariel who we know and recognise was an awesome young horse woman who’s dedicated to being a student of the horse, and her mentors. She’s a calm, consistent energy which Colts seem to really love. Ariel gets in an puts the hard work in, and is also a talented craftswoman when it comes to mecates, leatherwork and tack. So when she messaged me about little scoot - I thought they’d be a great ma...tch. We had ‘kinda’ been advertising Scooter for sale but hadn’t pushed it. His gelding became a little complicated when he re swelled so he had to be opened up a couple of times and has been on a couple of courses of different antibiotics. Given he was recovering (he’s fine now), he hasn’t been ‘’overly’ handled and needed an experienced, calm and kind person going forward, plus I’d been contacted by heaps of unsuitable inexperienced people who just saw a cute pony. Costs were now into the several thousands, so I thought we’d just keep him and start him under saddle next year and rehome as a going pony. Then out of the blue in stepped Ariel! Watching him follow her right up into the float as she calmly encouraged him we knew it was the right decision for both of them. Ariel will gain more experience starting a colt and hes the perfect one to do it! Watch this space from early next year as Ariel starts scooter, and I know you’ll see them roping cows and I’m sure working colts together! Ariel will eventually next year be selling Scooter as a going, developed, well rounded pony to a suitable family. If ofcourse she can part with him. I had a little tear as he drove away. But this is what it’s all about for us #ethicalhorsetrading #horsemanship #coltstarting Ariel Wheeler See more

21.01.2022 Beautiful Phoenix looking relaxed on the high line with uncle Thomas at Jones Park where she’s being started under saddle. Phoenix has now sold subject to her coming along well and is on hold for the time being. Fingers crossed she’s found her person. She has quite the line up of people wanting to partner with her. I think Thomas has a spot coming up for availability but this year is already starting to book out pretty quickly. I highly recommend Thomas and he’s one of the very very few people I’d send my own horses to.

21.01.2022 WP Kodie - 5yo Guy Fawkes brumby stallion. Mr Kodie is responding well to being here. Now we’ve got his digestive system going, He’s in a paddock with good grazing as well as his nutritional support program. He’s finished his first round of parasite removal and is in with our Personal horse Arty. In the next week he will have the old snippet my snip (much to artys delight when today kodie snuck in a cheeky mount . Don’t worry arty made it clear no means no). That wiry coa...t is starting to shed. Looking forward to seeing what’s underneath! Thanks to @manildraequine and @cen_horse for their high quality products, he will me tip top in no time. I have to say rehab and help horses return to, or for the first time feel well is one of my favourite parts of the job. (pic Included of our awesome big guy Arty who’s chaperoning Kodie because well - he’s awesome. Look at him. ) See more

21.01.2022 Congratulations Pep on finding a super cool local home! She fell in love with him before she even met him and even more so after. Who wouldnt. He finally had a nice wash and de-feralisation today. He definitely made the most of being wild boy for winter. Now its back to pretty . How are those dapples starting to come through. Thanks to @cen_horse and @manildraequine Pep has begun his re education with us and his new (naturally super excited) owner will be involved in the process and build a great bond by the time we are done. This is what its all about. Ethical horse development and trading. Concentrating on creating Healthy horses mentally and physically, who are matched with deserving humans

20.01.2022 Theres a black horse and then theres arnie. . @cen_horse @manildraequine #nofilter #handsomedevil #hanoveriansofinstagram #legacyequestrianteam #bootyup

20.01.2022 And then theres this big dream boat! Just turned 5yo (2 days ago!) Navan Shez Star Status aka Michelle. Shes a big boned girl who Will is going to have a ball roping off. Michelle will have her teeth and feet done this week, be wormed and head into her own herd. She probably head in in the next month to be started under saddle. She will also be available to an excellent home over the coming months (expression of interest taken now because she has a line up of interested people). Another well bred and damn well built horse from Navan.

19.01.2022 Seven years ago today was the day I chose this mare. I dont know that shed have chose me that day but we got there. Her name when I purchased her was black cloud no way was I leaving it. I wrote the following post this time last year and we had no idea shed be gone a couple of months later. I cant thank her enough for the lessons and love Chilli chilli bang bang gave me. The first photos are of that day. Quite the journey we both went on both physically and spirituall...y. I hope you are running the show up there girl. I sure do miss you Six years ago today I made the decision to barge into your life. It was a simple decision - I was a mum; who had decided it was time to have horses in my life again just 9 months earlier. You were to be my fuss free, weekend warrior. For me riding was going to be part time The couple of days a week I could spare around my busy life to be my hobby. You were the perfect easy horse to simply fit into my life. Slot neatly in. No hassle, no fuss. But what I realised very shortly after was that I was trying to cram a round peg into a square hole. Not only a round peg but a round peg that was so vibrant, messy, bright, commanding and pretty much on fire. You werent fitting into anyones anything. You would re-write what I thought shapes were. It would take me many more years and countless tears, tantrums, resolutions to quit, to finally realise you were my mirror. Both of us had been through trauma. Both of us feel misunderstood, brimming with life but feeling like our voices were muted. Lashing out simply through fear and frustration. Wed both learned we needed to protect ourselves from the world which was a scary place. I learned that horses shouldnt fit around us. We need to grow sometimes painfully in order to form a being worthy of the horses grace. Worthy of the horses time and physical dedication to us. Through these years we have formed a bond so tight you see me, more clearly than I see myself. You reflect it back to me in forms that can be so hard for me see and accept. You have been my greatest challenge, my biggest frustration and I am proudest that through it all you are my best friend. I love you chilli burger

19.01.2022 Se pics of our agistment horses taken today all on full board or full care Darcy 18yo Stabardbred Bayley - 22 year old stockhorse Christo 22 year old Warmblood Lady 13 year old mare who arrived last year suffering with and under treatment for irritable bow diseases. Been med free and had quality blood results for a year now it’s not cheap to feed the way we do or manage our facility the way we do but we will never compromise on quality care for every horse here. As always were a fortunate to have owners who trust in our care. #cenoil #manildraequine #missysbucket #legacyequestriancentre

19.01.2022 What a decade this year has been

19.01.2022 Errm Percy pony I do believe its time to come and start to address that pregnant mare belly although lets be #bodypositive and say I love youve built up so much energy and condition spelling over winter #Percypony. this little champion will me in in the next couple of weeks too to finish him under saddle and prepare him for his future. Hes a handy little guy. 14.3, 5yo and QHx (no rego) he will he green started under saddle so will not being for anyone whos a novice or nervous. Percy will be 4k+gst. Fully Started under saddle, branded, chipped, hes had his teeth done and feet will ofcourse be up to date. Price ofcourse includes 4 1x lessons with us while hes still here being finished. Hes great to catch / rug / travel etc etc. fun little sensitive fella

19.01.2022 Look who started her preparations today. Omg isnt she lookout super well. she was even nicer to work with then we expected. Affectionate, quiet and sensitive. What a DEVINE creature. Yes that is Will trotting her out for her stockhorse rego inspection video . He LOVED it and youll probably see him in the hack ring soon in his jodhpurs. Sprite has a lineup of people interested to meet her and line all of our Ponies we will be fussy. Sprites price starts at $6k plus gst after her re start under saddle (no know issues) and will go up in price the further along she gets. Ill already have to pry her out if Wills hands whos taking about how much of a handy mare she will be. My arm wont be hard to twist to keep her thats for sure! Thanks to @cen_horse @manildraequine for her super health! And @hairy_pony grooming products.

18.01.2022 This is why we include compulsory (free) lessons in our starting, re starting and sales process. It’s amazing to see how differently horses react to different people / handlers / riders. Will May have spent a lot of time making a connection and understanding with a horse so start their ridden career, then it’s the responsibility of their owner to step up and work for that connection and not just expect it going forward.

18.01.2022 I wrote this post One year ago today, when found out there was nothing else we could do. The fight for weeks to save her life was over. She would be laid to rest the following day. There is no way in this world I can quantify what you’ve given me. You have trusted me to bring you through darkness but it was you who did this for me. ...Continue reading

18.01.2022 Then there’s this little champion Pep. Who’s making some really really great changes as his re education prepares him for his besotted and super excited new Hooman to call his own. @cen_horse and @manildraequine and @missysbucket again a staple in the nutrition plans for all of these guys.

17.01.2022 I felt a little sorry for sagey as she’s been yarded this week away from her herd for observation. This means she’s right next to the feed shed very close for scarlette (who’s on school holidays) to get her out daily. I asked Tegan to put some carrots in her feed because I felt bad for her. She sent me this with the caption Don’t be. She’s having the time of her life up here sage you are one special girl. Happy Friday.

16.01.2022 It’s all of it. And none of it . Horsemanship is ever present. Including your horses physical health.

16.01.2022 Vulnerability is about showing up and being seen. It's tough to do that when we're terrified about what people might see or think. Brene Brown Thank you for helping me show up @adventuresofcoralie. We had such a fun afternoon playing ponies. It’s been easy to forget just how much joy can be found in simply having fun. Throwing some ropes, towing black Betty around and evening giving Arnie his first bareback ride - in a halter, wet arena and loose horses! Brief still coun...ts right! You are awesome and I am so glad we’ve found a friendship out of helping you find a pony #justhavefun #ponygirls #nopressure #feltlikeakidagain #empathy #support #sisterhood

16.01.2022 Position coming up to join our team! Full time stable hand The time has come for Tegan to fly the coop and set up shop with her partner on the central coast. We wish Tegan nothing but good fortune and awesomeness. We knew this day would come; and we are going to really miss Tegan. She’s been an instrumental part of Legacy for over two years. She leaves really big boots to fill but we plan to have Tegan be heavily involved in training our new team member. ... So who are we looking for? Someone who lives and breathes horse care. You’ll need to be physically fit and well - there is some physically demanding work. You’ll need to be reliable - very Flexible - (when I change the diets for the week for the millionth time ) Have experience handling many different ages and types of horses Be able to tell when something is wrong with them, so understand horse behaviour. Have a HIGHLY TUNED attention to detail. You are our eyes and ears out in the paddocks most days. We rely on you to spot anything that needs attending to. Be motivated to complete your work without supervision Be 16 or over to operate the quad and buggy, have your own reliable transport. No accomodation on site Be able to follow instructions to the letter but also take initiative. Ie. if you see a crooked rug fix it. If you find a brush on the ground put it away What will you be responsible for? Making up feeds of a list for Twice daily feeding and rugging (depending on weather etc) of upwards of 40 horses on and 80 acre property Picking up manure in paddocks both manually and with a poo vac Catching and holding horses for the farrier, vet or anyone else we need Waters Cleaning stables Keeping the feed shed, stables, wash bay are tidy Administrating medication via oral or injection (we can teach you this) General farm maintenance we request help with it We are a supportive employer who takes care of their staff. Wage dependant on age and experience- but you’ll be paid under the Pastoral award plus 9.5% super with regular increases in pay rate line with work ethic, commitment and experience. This is an opportunity that doesn’t come up often. We expect a lot from our team members because we have the health and safety of people’s beloved horses in our care. Hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday with 1/2 lunch break. We may be flexible on days if you preferred say Tuesday to Saturday. There is the opportunity to bring your own horse and have them on agistment. Applications close 25th october (unless we have the perfect fit prior) Start will be mid November Email enquires to [email protected] Don’t forget to tell us about yourself in your cover letter.

15.01.2022 Got to visit my boys today. Rory and Arnie. Looking unowned and feral spelling as I recover from surgery. They seemed happy to see me atleast and Arnie thought he should leave the paddock with me not yet mate. Few more weeks! Ive taken this time after a difficult year to really dig deep into my heart and decide if horses are really my passion for my work and personal riding. Touching my boys today left me with a resounding YES. I couldn’t imagine them not being in my li...fe. So as the year draws to a close let’s toast to 2021 as a new beginning. Legacy won’t be taking anymore horses for education however I’ll still be providing the best damn horse care around (*self titled haha) and I think I can rustle up some private and group lessons too. I’ll be hosting some exciting teachers for clinics and lessons too! Details to come soon. Thank you to everyone who’s stuck by legacy this year. It’s the community that really makes us who we are. Love you guys Hope x

14.01.2022 Some of our horses having fun playing in the rain . Maximus, Rory, arnie (who’s not into it haha) and Pepe the pally (who uh has been moved from his girlfriends because he seemed to be feeling very well and forgot hes been a gelding since he was very young ) so frat house for him now. You can actually see max move Pepe away from the fence where the mares are hanging out. Our aim is to allow horses to be horses! This includes friends, forage and room to frolic. No we a...ren’t anti rug but we are also aware of the massively wide comfort temp range for horses. A couple of oldies are rugged here this weekend to keep warm and dry given they can’t regulate body temp as well and don’t have as much body fat to play with, but everyone else using what nature, great health, and a quality housed environment gives them. #letthemplay #herdanimals #healthyhorses See more

14.01.2022 Youre an awesome colt starter but arent about to win any led classes how good is sprite? Such a sensitive and intelligent, kind mare. Pretty sure she can move out way better than that though I am sure Will is going to be super stoked I put this up Rrruuunnnn Forrest RUN!

14.01.2022 Well well well... wasn’t that a blast! To have taken time out of your lives and put in the effort to come and join us for our weekend workshop - is a privilege. Our aim was to facilitate a fun, collaborative, no pressure environment where we could all work together to learn from our horses. We thank you for keeping open minds, with awesome attitudes. Everyone was supportive and encouraging with each other which we LOVE. THANK YOU to everyone who spent the weekend with us. see you next time!

14.01.2022 I wanted to address some not so civil (now deleted and blocked) comments and (mostly civil) comments about Wirraway Park Kodie - the five year old GF Heritage registered brumby stallion we have. Seeing these magnificent Australian icons slaughtered and labelled pests evokes emotions of rage and injustice. Trust me I KNOW. To read about culling and control of numbers with pictures of a rotting corpse of a mare with a foal hanging around her lifeless body makes us angry. An...Continue reading

14.01.2022 Some girls dream of a pile of designer shoes. I dream of piles of Buggez Bugeyes . We have been buying and recommending these items for years. For our itchy horses we use the fly veil options - Lycra covered ears, forelock hole, and super tough mesh. For our non itchy horses we use reinforced ear holes, forelock hole and super tough mesh. We use the UV mesh for any horses with ulcers / light eyes and skin. And add a nose flap to white noses. We find adding the Lycra ears m...eans we dont always have to good out itchy horses. We can use this in conjunction with a mesh combo. We use the super tough mesh option because all of our horses are in herds and have access to trees and spend their days generally trying to Fck up whatever we use on them to help them be more comfortable through summer these are out tried and tested fly masks. Tip: remember to tighten the elastic around your horses neck and tie it off after youve put it on! Weve had plenty of people say theyve fallen off and hadnt followed the instruction you know who Im looking at. Ps. Thanks for the no knots gift buggez x itll go to great use See more

14.01.2022 How big is Phoenix? Yeah. She’s pretty f.kn big . A little comparison of when she arrived in May next to me and today next to Thomas. She’s headed off with uncle Thomas Jones Park to be started under saddle. Phoenix is a Clydesdale x warmblood is approx 16.3 currently and has just turned 3 in November (ish). She is currently open to interest for her new home at the completion of her basic starting under saddle to set her up slowly for a quality ridden life. Thanks to Manildra Equine and CEN Nutrition for her beautiful development over the last 7 months.

13.01.2022 Well hello there good looking. Sprite has finished her winter settling in and break, looks amazing and has come in to start for whoever her lucky human turns out to be! How pretty is she rising 5 QHXASH - will be dual registered six K finished - late October

13.01.2022 JAMIE 2.5 year old Pinto - QHX brown and white filly. No breed history. A kind, sweet natured and sensitive mare. Is shy at the moment. Had only the very very basics of handling. Will lead / tie up and float fine. Has had her feet trimmed with us and the vets have done a dental. She does have some itchy spots currently and has had an antihistamine injection. ... She’s got a lot more growing to do. Will need an experienced owner as she is. $1400. (A fraction of what I purchased her for) Or with two weeks profession handling including rugging / feet handling and exposure - pre starting under saddle $2200 includes a lesson. Started under saddle $5500 with professional horseman - this includes 3 one hour lessons with her . Located berry. See more

13.01.2022 At the end of this week this awesome little team head off on the adventure called life together. Coralie against all sense trusted me just over two months ago to purchase a sight unseen horse at auction for her. What could go wrong, right? Koda was to come straight to us for re education while coralie attended lessons before taking him home. Shes stuck by us through some personal upheaval and probably didnt quuuite trust the process (totally understandably) through some... of it BUT she stuck with us anyway. And finally... the.time.has.come. We are so excited for them and the endless adventures theyll have together! The first pic is koda today frolicking with his new little friend and the second is his treatment this week with Karina. You know a horse has actually changed and Improved in their body when Magic fingers buckless confirms it! Hes also had big improvements in his feet. Coralie has put in continued, consistent and Persistent effort with this horse and it absolutely shows in the results. The final pic is when he was arriving. The changes cannot be denied. Coralie it has genuinely been a blast to get to know you these last couple of months. You are SUCH a good sport and just so much fun to be around. I truly hope this isnt the end for us and we get to continue on . See more

13.01.2022 SOLD Will at the very beginning of helping little Peppy get in touch with the sensitiveness that has been shut down by humans thus far in his life. As people we tend to (not always deliberately) dull down horses because we feel safer. If our horse is less sensitive, then they are less reactionary and are less likely to do something out of reaction to scare us right? Wrong. What we want is a responsive, responsible, soft horse who is in tune with out thoughts and feelings. To... condition them to be so dull and braced up is taking away their god given gifts and gives us a false sense of security. This is something that Ive found a difficult thing to embrace but horsemanship is always learning and hunting for that self improvement to make life better for our horses and our partnership with them. Peppy is a smart little guy who is responding quickly to this better deal. And this is just the start #patience #horsemanship #legacyequestriancentre #palomino #ForSaleNotOnSale See more

12.01.2022 Well hello there handsome . We have been stoked to welcome this ‘goodest boi’ to the Legacy Family. Jake the Mus 2015 STB gelding. aka paddock name Jack, was a very much loved and cared for boy who was successful in the show ring in hand. Gosh it’s nice to receive horses in great condition! His Owners circumstances meant parting with him and I was really pleasantly surprised when as a vendor she contacted me to find out about the person who was bidding on her horse. I’m gl...ad she was happy with us. Jake will undergo a thorough education under saddle (by me Hope) and be available for a home as equally as cool as he is. As usual this doesn’t happen overnight here! We Aren’t a fly by the nighters who pump out heaps of horses. We offer time and a massive investment in the horse and human relationship. When you are fortunate enough to welcome a Legacy horse into your family, you become part of a supportive community . It’s been a while since I’ve worked with a #champstamp and I’m super excited. #standardbred #ottstb See more

12.01.2022 The back paddock crew came in today to have their feet trimmed. Headed up my the increasingly healthy and maturing Phoenix. Her loyal *much much much* older gentlemen servants Gryff and Monty (bay and grey). And ofcourse the ever delightful Percy Pony . Phoenix and Percy are two horses being developed for eventual sale. Gryff and Monty are much loved full board agistment horses. And probably two of hardest doers I’ve ever come across haha as you can see they are pretty healthy with their nutrition plan :)

12.01.2022 Here they come My name is Hope and you’ll often find me huddled over piles of horse poo with a stick pilfering through it.

11.01.2022 well look what we have here. We are really pleased to be finally calling two stunning Navan QHs ours. After a few years of starting horses for clients from this long time quality stud who breed horses for temperament, type and quality usability we have just officially added these beauties to our team. rising 5yo mare Navan Shez Star Status Q-85842 by Acool rockstar Q-78727 out of Navan Status Symbol Q-68614 whos sire is DMB Status Quo Q-57372 And our rising 2yo co...lt name pending is by DMB Status Quo and from a The Verdict X Majestic Roc mare Both of these horses have a heck of a lineage. Phillip and Robyn Sheridan have been breeding these incredible horses since 1973 in parkes. Their experience and attention to breeding quality over quantity really shows in all of their horses. They also work hard to raise healthy well formed horse even through drought. These are our first Navan horses but I know they wont be our last! Really looking forward to developing these horses for their perfect partner thanks Phillip for trusting we will do right by the horses youve painstakingly produced. #qhs #coltstarting #horsedevelopment #forsalenotonsale #mindfulhorsetrading #legacyequestrianteam

10.01.2022 Dooke and Dolly. Two of our full board agistment horses looking amazing Dooke has come through some significant physical issuesover the last 12 months and Dolly is heading towards her twenties. we don’t just willy Nilly throw the cheapest feed we can find at our agistment horses. They are fed the same quality feeds our own horses are. A lot of time, money and effort goes into their nutrition plans, thanks to @feedxl_horse_nutrition, pasture and property management and their overall health and well being. @cen_horse @manildraequine @missysbucket #healthyhorses

10.01.2022 As we sat down together in the afternoon sun, we soaked in all thats happened in the year that has been 2020. Likened to no other its been a year of massive blows personally, difficulty professionally and also one of huge growth in both areas. Its uncovered the depths of some friendships and the lacking of others. Its been a reminder that standing up for yourself and what you feel is right, isnt a popular opinion. We have blown up as partners and come back together even ...stronger. When you both work and live with your spouse, 24 hours in every day is a lotttttt of time to find things that piss each other off. Considering the average couple see each other a few waking hours a a day or even less. Being both immensely feeling people, and neither who just sweep dirt over the issues and carry on with life while it festers under the surface, like good little soldiers that keep a smile on their face to the world do; it can look like a scene from an ACME explosion on a road runner carton. Beep beep. But that means its in the open air and we get on with the job of FEELING it in our vulnerability and healing it. If you dont feel it you cant heal it. Same with horses. We refuse to live our lives with a conditioned dull ignorance that society tells us we should the same way it tells that horse to keep their mouth shut with that tighter nose band and constant poke of the more leg spur. We make sure our horses (and children and each other) feel valid in whatever feelings they have. Because then you can work with it to evolve it into a constructive action that benefits themselves, us and society as a whole. As 2020 finally comes to its last 3 months after the first 45 months of this year, we are proud and fortunate to be conducting ourselves, our Family and our business the way we do. We are currently booked out for the remainder of 2020 for education for horses. We have several horses for sale after placing five of our horses already. October workshop has 1 riding spot left, agistment 1 spot left and we will continue with lessons. If we score ourselves on those who choose to be around us - we are incredibly proud and fulfilled. So thank you x See more

09.01.2022 Its almost a shame to geld this handsome little colt! Rebel is going to be quite the partner for someone. Hes as sharp as a tack. Navan Disrupt the status (pending)

09.01.2022 The last colts Gypsy boy and Jake (now Bodhi) having a wash and de-wild on Christmas Eve before having a day off. Salty ofcourse overseeing them activities to ensure quality control.

08.01.2022 Kodie. Four hours. Yes FOUR HOURS after being gelded today this is because there’s a mare across the driveway from him. Albeit a cutie. Haha. But this is why we are such firm advocates for gelding horses. Atleast he’s moving so the swelling won’t build up. Whilst he was under sedation he was lice treated again in an attempt to save his mane but it may need to be hogged her we aren’t sure. (Yes more presents he brought with him - the two horses with him are our are and ha...ve been checked as all clear but also treated anyway. He won’t be with any other horses until all the critters and eggs are gone.) And some length was nipped off his hooves - he needs his legs handled more before we will put our farrier in that position. In two weeks after he recovers, unless there’s complications from his castration he will have his teeth done and I’d imagine some pretty sharp hooks and wolf teeth to be removed. As you can see he’s feeling quite well. Five weeks after arrival. He’s still got a tone of weight and muscle to gain but his coat condition and overall wellness has improved ten fold. Wirraway Park Kodie. Now a five year old Guy Fawkes Heritage registered GELDING . With a massively bright future ahead of him.

08.01.2022 Welcome to Legacy! Our new rising 2yo stud colt. I was lucky enough to be allowed to choose his name. So hes Navan Disrupt the status (pending) or as we will call him Rebel. Another lovely QH from Phillip and a Robyn Sheridan. This week rebel will be gelded, have his first dental and hoof trim, be wormed and have basic handling then he will head out into one of the herds to eat well and grow out some more. We anticipate rebel will be back in in summer to get ing under saddle and he developed for his human. Hes a well formed and well grown colt who will be available and an asset to any home.

08.01.2022 Banjo week 3 progress st Legacy being started under saddle. Starting to look like a big boy. #coltstarting #cenoil #manildragroup #manildraequine @cen_horse @manildraequine

08.01.2022 My view today was pretty great . Will starting to work Kodie off Rory. I have lots of videos and pics of the process and what ended up being a good spot for them all to end on (which I’ll make some posts about) but I just want to appreciate for a minute the work my husband puts in to his art. People believe it must be amazing and easy to just ride horses all day but there’s so much more mental fitness needed to start Colts day in and day out. And usually I’m serving up tro...ubled, messed with or totally unhandled horses who need our help to him. It’s not easy to find the motivation to get into the arena every day and chip away particularly often on your own. I was as proud as punch today to watch how Will has engaged Rory into being a handy horse to have out there. Big bubba gump Rory - was a real live rope horse. He knew his job and he wanted to do it. Will worked in a calm and empathetic manner, without frustration for what I can assure you - can be easily frustrating sometimes. It’s tedious, challenging and can be lonely for someone who is across the other side of the world from much of his family and friends. Over the last four years I’ve watched evolve as a man and father, work on the things that need working on and experience growth through vulnerability and often pain. So here’s to you Will - We see you. We feel you. The horses see you. The horses feel you. Thank you and I love you. Will Camacho Your wife x

07.01.2022 We send our deepest thanks to those friends of Legacy who have encouraged, supported and had faith in us since I began Legacy almost seven years ago and Will Camacho joined me four years ago. We are in the process of building a website through our dear friend and professional Rosie at Paper Horse Design & Publishing. We hope to be able to include some reviews from our clients and we are seeking permission to use ones left by you guys on our Facebook page through offical reci...ews / recommendations / comments / photos and tags? Wed also welcome any further feedback to be added to the website. Let us know what youd like to see on the website. We will be having agistment info and packages, lesson and workshop info hopefully with the ability to book and pay through the website as well as info on horses we have available for purchase. We will still be taking a very limited number of horses for education/ re education / handling. Id also be considering popping an option for a basic nutrition feedback consultation with a set fee. I am careful not to go over board because my qualification in this area is basic and all of my feedback is based on experience and learning from minds far greater than mine. As well as a form to be filled out as a horse search service. We are examining where to head for us and Legacy as new paths emerge through the continually shifting and growing landscape. Thank you again to everyone who supports us and our ethos. Xxx See more

07.01.2022 It’s 9pm on a Sunday night and I’m tending to a sick horse before shutting down for the night. This job doesn’t stop for anything. Not weather, not surgery recovery, not weekends or personal issues. My life is still dedicated to the health, welfare, safety and well being of every single horse and human at legacy equestrian centre. ... Thank you to my friends who came to help today to make sure I didn’t do anything to hurt myself. To my weekend staff member Holly and Dr Nikita for making a Sunday call. Whether it’s horses, bookwork, or management it’s a 24/7 , 365 day job. And it’s not for everyone. But it’s for me . 4 more weeks until I can ride and do normal stuff . Bring it on. It takes a village and I’m grateful for mine x

06.01.2022 We have a CEN Nutrition order going in today. Get on it! Our stock always flies off the shelves. Check out their website site to choose your horses goodness! Its a massive part of the nutrition package for all 40 plus horses here. https://cennutrition.com.au/censtore/

06.01.2022 Tweedle dumb and tweedle dee. The two member hoodlam street gang unleashed onto society, terrorising civilians just trying to take a roll and enjoy the rain and Dirt. Seems their main aim is to Cause havoc. Arnies direct look at the end asking why did you do this to me made me seperate Rory and his mini me Scooter into their own paddock together to give the others a rest. Its like a scene out of step bothers when they fart in an interview while wearing tuxedos. Time for scooter to have a job when his gelding scar heals. For anyone looking for a damn confident little clown he is your guy. They even had big Arty - the ripper of all rugs and biter of all horses running away. Damn thugs hahah #naughtypony #leasttheyareshiny #scooter #forsale

06.01.2022 When you and your Brothers break some of your mums stuff in your house because you were messing around where you shouldnt have been. Then you all walk away like nothing happened and you didnt see SHIT. FFS boys. This is why we cant have nice things. . (Arnie was un injured.)

05.01.2022 When youve been in the fat mares paddock too long for winter and youve nearly turned into one. NEARLY haha still a boy. Peppy arrived a couple of months ago. And his hoof has now totally healed! (Hed has an op on his pedal bone earlier in the year to remove some sequested bone after an infection - with his previous owner who put in massive effort and spent a small fortune) he still had some healing to do so hasnt done much yet. But hes coming in, sometime in the next... fortnight and will be available after his re education. He had developed some issues in his past life as a lesson horse a few years into it through a series of events that werent his fault. He has a naturally quiet disposition and we feel like pretty soon hes going to feel good about taking up job of being a sturdy partner for adults and kids alike. We have some work to get there but I dont doubt it at all! Peppy is a riding pony x TB and is about 6 now. He stands around 14.3-15hh and as you can see is a pally. This is still him in his winter coat. See more

05.01.2022 Little zacky is one of our full care horses and is a cushings pony. He’s been with us since March 2019 and is well managed with appropriate diet, housing, forage, Medication and hoof care. It’s a big deal to trust someone else to take care of your beloved family pony especially one with high needs and a history of health scares. Our full care horses have everything included in their care. Farrier, dental, worming, feed, rugging, grooming, creams and lotions as needed. We eve...n wash their rugs. Horse health is our number one priority, but we also don’t write off the wishes and concerns that owner can have. We prefer to work with you to establish something that is both beneficial to your horse, manageable by us and makes you comfortable in the fact your horse is healthy and safe. @missysbucket mineral supplement and @cen_horse CEN oil are an important part of Zacs (and everyone’s) diet here. 05.01.2022 Not horse related but who can resist a sleepy baby? This is my new family member Dwight. A baby Eclectus parrot. I picked him up on Sunday and suffice to say he’s bonded to me you’ll see him it and about here soon after I do some harness training.

05.01.2022 Seems to be the day for it! The magical Miss Sprite has also landed her adoring human! A really lovely lady whos been a regular at legacy for the last year having leased a clients horse and a lesson student. Miss fancy pants Sprite will continue her re education with us THEN be an agistment horse as her mum has regular lessons and remains a part of the Legacy community. what more could we want for these guys? A LOT of time and effort and financial investment gets put into ...our business and horses. We dont just buy a horse then quickly turn them over. We take an holistic approach and make sure they are physically and mentally in tip top condition. We offer a full re education program and spend the money on teeth / feet / vaccinations / microchips / registrations / brandings / bodywork and whatever else they need to be able to have the very best chance of making it in the world. ALL of our horses are traceable back to us and we offer complete transparency in what we do. #ethicalhorsetrading is a thing and we want to do it! . Congratulations to sprites new partner. You wont be disappointed. X See more

05.01.2022 Will Camacho working on some halter breaking with Rebel today before his castration. Hes helping him learn a feel in the halter and rope. Hes closing some doors and opening other doors and letting him find it. If you really got to pulling on a stud colt like Rebel youd soon have him brace up and leave on you. Slowly slowly does it. Allowing him the dignity to make his own decision while encouraging the one Will was looking for. Within a couple of minutes Rebel found his w...ay across that muddy patch without any fuss. Will has been working on this a little in the yard prior to being bought out. It was our responsibility to make the working environment for the vets as safe as possible. Can we take a moment to appreciate my husband who works consistently on his horsemanship. Its a fine art to him and one hes working day in day out to fine tune. 05.01.2022 Whos under the towel? This little cutie. Welcome to the crew Scooter (the artist formerly known as Tex) this little welsh colt (now gelded as of today) arrived with us on Saturday. We actually handled his mum for her owner 2 1/2 years ago and this little guy was already onboard as a surprise for her. He will have Teeth next week after he recovers from his castration. Then itll be all the fun! We havent decided if we will keep him to start under saddle or try to find his people prior. (After hes had extensive handling and exposure). Open to enquires. Hes around 12hh and turns 2 in October. No rego but total cuteness.

05.01.2022 Wills handsome horse Arty - a 7 year old German Warmblood who came to us two years ago to be re started after a Couple of people had a go at staring him and he was deemed dangerous. With the last person recommendong euthanisia. But dedicated owners were referred to us because they really wanted to give him the opportunity. Well fast forward ten or so weeks and it was apparent to everyone - Arty was Will’s horse. We leased him and over a long period his owners graciously allo...wed us to pay Arty off. He’s a big, bold and sometimes complicated horse who also has a heart of gold and a bit of a dig my heels in attitude. You know the old horse is your mirror analogy . Arty is currently not doing much apart from babysitting Kodie the stud while we wait for his custom saddle to be built. Yes a beautiful custom made Wade especially for Arty because he’s been so hard to fit. I can’t imagine Arty being anyone else’s but Wills to be honest with you! Yes he’s large. About 700kg and 16.3. Kept thriving ok @cen_horse @manildraequine and @missysbucket See more

03.01.2022 Miley is a delightful little standardbred mare. She’s just over 15hh, and 4 years old. Was too slow for racing and had two or three rides rides off the track but her price reflects her being sold as un started under saddle. I’ve done her teeth and feet and worming are up to date. And easy going, really friendly and sweet mare who’s going to be a wonderful partner for someone. $1300 Inc GST. Located Berry

03.01.2022 Do you even lift bro? Rebel does Recently turned 2yo QH colt (now gelding. He’s we held everything haha ) NAVAN DISRUPT THE STATUS (pending) By DMB status quo ... Out of NAVAN COVER GIRLS RULE Growing up nicely. Rebel has been with us for about ten weeks. He was not a rehab horse - we purchased him through trusted breeder Navan qh’s who always have healthy horses. (Along with Michelle) At this stage rebel will be available mid next year after he has been started under saddle. We will be taking expressions of interest from early next year but will not he moving his saddle starting forward. He’s a baby doing baby things for now and growing while receiving a balanced suitable nutrition plan. (We May be convinced to part with him PRE being started under saddle but we’d need to be confident in who you are and he wasn’t about to go and be drilled. ) #qh #bigboy #manildraequine #cenhorse

03.01.2022 Increasingly I’m seeing professionals making posts bagging others. They use someone else’s photos as their point of reference. Quite often it seems they are only doing it to get a name for themselves. The age of social media. Whether they genuinely misunderstand the person(s), principles, ways or they feel it’s a claim to fame to bag someone who’s well known, respected and in some cases deceased! or to Diminish or belittle them. To try to prove why they are right and insert... photos of whatever horsemen or clinic they’ve stolen photos or video from is wrong. We see people constantly demonising tools or items like flags, (but don’t worry dressage whips ok ) round yards, (square yards to work in are fine though ), rope halters (unless it’s their brand they are trying to sell ) and so on. Usually - said bashing post is accompanied closely behind or in tandem with a post trying to sell you whatever item they feel is superior. And in turn will make you superior like them. We all have beliefs, things we like to use, principles we like to follow. Things we may disagree with but to ever think there’s only one way to work with a horse and that’s your way - wreaks of ego and arrogance. Ofcourse there is things we can disagree with but it doesn’t mean we should go to that persons place of business (which can be a Facebook page too) and tell them why you are superior and they are wrong. I’ve seen just today three separate posts of people using footage and images of someone else in the horse Industry and made a long winded post bashing them. Commonly it looks like they take one idea or comment that has been said, a snippet of a video, snapshot in time - spin it out of control, take it out of context and turn it into something it probably isn’t of which they likely don’t understand- and tell you why their way is better. Here we choose not to use certain gadgets. There are thing we choose to do and things we choose not to do - that’s our OWN prerogative. We give our reasons behind our beliefs but we don’t try to make a career based on publicly picking apart what someone else does. Please give it a rest it’s gross. We are all in this together trying to do the right thing by the horse. Pic of Arnie showing the 0 f@cks he gives about anyone else’s opinion of his ball. See more

02.01.2022 Me Sprite would you mind walking yourself up onto this human constructed timber ramp and box for me please, taking cues purely from the way I’ve arranged my body and my energy? Sprite sure human. That’s no troubles at all. On your mere suggestions, I’ll walk up and down without hesitation, I’ll stand up there and I’ll hop off the side when you ask me to It’ll never cease to amaze me The weird arse stuff our horses do for us. Just because we ask. Imagine if we were asking another human or god forbid OUR KIDS to do this haha why? How tall is it? Who made it? Where did it come from? How long do I have to stay up there for? Why?

02.01.2022 A girl and her pony. Equal love and respect for each other. Nobody pulling or yanking on the other. Sage being patient as scarlette learns to have sage where she needs her to halter her. It is our responsibility as adults to teach our children the privilege it is to have horses in our life and it not treat them like a machine. We also have to have a horse who takes their responsibility seriously of being with their little human. This is what we expect from our horses and i...n Return we do our best to offer the best deal we can for them. Seeing kids being taught to drag horses around, tack them up without thought in restrictive gear and never really be asked how they think the horse feels about it is a sad reality of their teachings. Empathy is there until accepted norms are instilled as correctness. As a child I didn’t ask twice about strapping my Horses mouth shut. Or hanging onto the reins for dear life. To lunge them around with their face tied down to make it look how I was taught It needed to. I loved my horses so much. But it doesn’t mean they were treated as they deserved. I was a product of my environment. We want to raise children who work at understanding the horse from the very beginning. Just because you consistently see a horse in a magazine as being successful and well cared for (in human terms) living in a square box on their own, wearing all sorts of restrictive straps and forceful equipment STILL doing what is asked of them doesn’t mean he is happy. It means he is a servant. #horsemanshipforkids #legacyequestriancentre See more

02.01.2022 I will never get tired of seeing horses move in a herd and enjoy life as they should. The fresh paddock feels are real. It also drives home the importance of freedom of movement. There are three horses here in their late teens to early 20s two of whom have arthritis. Theres our beautiful biscuit who we took on a few years ago - not knowing her had pretty marked joint degeneration due to turned in front feet and worsened from years of poor hoof care. We have dooke whos hav...ing navicular managed. Im watching and managing nutrition carefully as we head into spring and summer to make sure they arent overloaded and too far that will negatively impact their soundness but offering enough nutritional support to keep them at this level of health. If you watch carefully you can see a few of them stepping short at the trot but it doesnt mean they shouldnt be allowed to play and enjoy life instead of being locked up in a yard . If they feel well enough to run they can. #cenhorse #manildraequine #healthyolderhorses #supportthem #fun See more

02.01.2022 Oh haiiii there pretty mumma Tessa is a beautiful 9 yea old QHX paint mare who is available to her human. I’ll bring her into work in the next couple of weeks. She’s about 14.2 and has done a lot of everything. I’m told she was a go to mare and was fuss free. Not a novice horse but also doesn’t require an Olympian. She had two foals before coming to us and had been a part of the same family since she was a baby. she’d made an excellent teen or ladies horse. As she is before coming in to work with me Tessa is $3900. Once she’s in work her price increase accordingly. She is sporting that @manildraequine performance pellet shine

02.01.2022 Some had some stuff added and one had some stuff taken away Rory and Arty have been branded with love from Legacy thanks to the guys at Illawarra Equine for spending the arvo with us. Always so educational for us. I wonder who that is under the towel. Can anyone guess?

01.01.2022 We are looking for one or two Standardbreds to take on and join us at Legacy Equestrian Centre. We have several clients looking to buy a safe horse from us, who we believe a trusty champ stamped horse who’s been developed by us would suit. Ideally we are looking for a horse(s) direct from the track. We would consider one not directly off the track but at this stage aren’t really looking for a horse who already has ridden experience. We may for the right one. We are experience... in re developing horses off the track into sound, healthy, balanced ridden horses. We have a lot of experience in nutrition support of the transition period and feel this can be overlooked often - to the horses and their future humans detriment. Our horses do not get turned over quickly and a LOT of effort, time, money and expertise glows into doing it CORRECTLY and ethically. We’d be open to establishing a relationship with a race trainer as an ongoing option for them to rehome their retried racehorses with - knowing we have the experience to he their horses futures. Ideally in NSW at this time We are located in Berry NSW and can pick the horses up. We are not looking for thoroughbreds at this point. Looking forward to hearing about any eligible ponies and please feel free to share and tag :) #standardbredsofinstagram #horsemanship #champstamp See more
