25.01.2022 Because all aspects of our physical, mental and spiritual health are connected (including our nutrition, exercise and sleep)... food (yes, even chocolate) can be your helper ... until you start abusing it as then it harms you... as with everything else... balance is required https://www.stylist.co.uk//how-to-sleep-better-rela/345990

25.01.2022 Today, my superhero is the girl who felt flat but still got up and made it to work. Who before would have called in sick, but today, although she wanted to, she did not call in sick, she got up and while she didn’t see the purpose for it, did not feel like it, did not want to live, still made it to work. You are my superhero today girl. You inspire me. I love you. Life is not about going to work. But it is about trying, about pushing yourself, about testing your strength, about still going on, going on, just going on... it’s going to be all right at the end. If it’s not all right at the moment that just means this is not the end yet.

22.01.2022 Isn’t it curious that the one thing about life that we can be certain of... is uncertainty? When we examine the facts.. we don’t really know for a 100% what will happen on a certain day... or that everyone we expect to be around us will still be around us today.. or tomorrow. It’s entirely reasonable that we can’t be absolutely certain what the weather will be like... or whether we will have a great time or a challenging time at work.. no one would contend that we can be com...pletely sure that we will enjoy the new dish on the menu... and one could extend the case to say it’s unclear that we will fall asleep easily every night.. or that we will like our favourite singer’s newest song... In a way, we can propose that all upcoming situations are ambiguous... and no one can disprove that it’s impossible to definitely know or anticipate what is going to happen... like, that our partner or our children will always give a 100% effort when it comes to family.. or what the outcome of a job interview or personal dispute will be. In conclusion, rather than worry and defend against such ambiguity and uncertainty, wouldn’t it be so much more pleasant to create a shift in our mindset... deliberately... away from worry... and move towards curiosity and anticipation of what’s ahead. WE have the guts... gumption... and mental gifts, to keep our focus on positive possibilities and expectations. See more

19.01.2022 Hi everyone! I hope we are all in good health. Here are some herbal boosters for your immunity against viruses and infection: 1 Garlic: Garlic is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent and immune booster. 2 Medicinal mushrooms: Fungi such as shiitake and maitake. 3 Immune-supportive herbs: Eleuthero, Asian ginseng, American ginseng, or astragalus.... 4 Echinacea: A good ally to have on hand when respiratory viruses overwhelm your defences. 5 Probiotics: Studies indicate that fermented milk products have been shown to reduce respiratory infections. It’s now a good time, if you haven’t tried yet, to pick up practices that have been scientifically proven to support a strong immune system like meditation and self-hypnosis. See you on the other side of the pandemic!

18.01.2022 Our tissues change under stress. All therapies that teach relaxation techniques, including meditation and hypnotherapy, can slow down this process considerably by reducing the amount of stress you experience every day. https://neurosciencenews.com/stress-gray-hair-15543/

16.01.2022 The most significant finding from our study is that half of the patients kept shedding the virus even after resolution of their symptoms, said co-lead author Dr. Sharma, instructor of medicine, Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, Department of Medicine, Yale School of Medicine. More severe infections may have even longer shedding times. The authors had a special message for the medical community: COVID-19 patients can be infectious even after their symptomatic recovery, so treat the asymptomatic/recently recovered patients as carefully as symptomatic patients. https://neurosciencenews.com/covid-19-infectious-symptoms-/

16.01.2022 The mental health and quality of life of people with a dissociative disorder improves significantly with psychotherapy that recognizes the impact of trauma is affecting not only the brain and the body but also the mind and the soul. Dissociative symptoms arise from physical, sexual and emotional abuse; neglect, particularly in childhood; attachment problems if a child fears the caregiver or the caregiver is not adequately attuned to the child’s emotional or safety needs; and... other severe stress or trauma, such as experiencing or witnessing domestic violence. If the traumatic and overwhelming experiences happen repeatedly over a long period of time, the person’s personality may become fragmented. The traumatized part of the personality that contains the emotions, thoughts, sensations, and experiences relating to the trauma becomes separated from the part of the personality that is trying to get on with daily life. A person whose spouse has died may become emotionally numb, allowing them to focus on arranging the funeral; a man who has separated from his wife and lost his job soon afterward may become so disconnected from his identity that he no longer recognizes himself in the mirror and feels his life is happening to someone else; and a young woman who is sexually assaulted may remember her attacker moving too quickly towards her, recalls being safely back in her family home, but cannot remember the assault. https://neurosciencenews.com/dissociative-disorders-depres/

14.01.2022 Hypnosis is used in a variety of settings, from emergency rooms to dental offices to outpatient clinics. Clinical studies suggest that hypnosis may improve immune function, increase relaxation, decrease stress, and ease pain and feelings of anxiety. Hypnotherapy can reduce the fear and anxiety that some people feel before medical or dental procedures. For example, studies show that dental patients who underwent hypnosis had a significantly higher threshold for pain than thos...e who were not hypnotized. Hypnosis may also improve recovery time and reduce anxiety and pain following surgery. Clinical trials on burn patients suggest that hypnosis decreases pain (enough to replace pain medication) and speeds healing. Other studies show hypnosis results in decreased use of pain medication, higher pain thresholds, shorter hospital stays, less surgical intervention, fewer complications, and a more satisfying birth experience among women in labor. Generally, clinical studies show that hypnosis may reduce the need for medication, improve mental and physical health before an operation, and reduce the time it takes to recover. Dentists also use hypnotherapy to control gagging and bleeding. A hypnotherapist can teach you self regulation skills. For instance, someone with arthritis may learn to turn down pain like the volume on a radio. Hypnotherapy can also be used to help manage chronic illness. Self hypnosis can enhance a sense of control, which is often lacking when someone has a chronic illness. Clinical studies on children in emergency treatment centers show that hypnotherapy reduces fear, anxiety, and discomfort. http://pennstatehershey.adam.com/content.aspx

13.01.2022 Are you feeling confused as to why Coronavirus is a bigger deal than Seasonal flu? It has to do with RNA sequencing, i.e. genetics. Seasonal flu is an all human virus. The DNA/RNA chains that make up the virus are recognized by the human immune system. This means that your body has some immunity to it before it comes around each year. You get immunity two ways: through exposure to a virus, or by getting a flu shot. Novel viruses come from animals. The WHO tracks novel viru...ses in animals, (sometimes for years watching for mutations). Usually these viruses only transfer from animal to animal (pigs in the case of H1N1), (birds in the case of the Spanish flu). But once one of these animal viruses mutates, and starts to transfer from animals to humans then it’s a problem. Why? Because we have no natural or acquired immunity, the RNA sequencing of the genes inside the virus isn’t human, and the human immune system doesn’t recognize it so, we can’t fight it off. Sometimes, the mutation only allows transfer from animal to human, for years it’s only transmission is from an infected animal to a human before it finally mutates so that it can now transfer human to human. Once that happens, we have a new contagion phase. And depending on the fashion of this new mutation, that’s what decides how contagious, or how deadly it’s going to be. H1N1 was deadly but it did not mutate in a way that was as deadly as the Spanish flu. It’s RNA was slower to mutate and it attacked its host differently, too. The Coronavirus existed in animals only, but in December 2019 at an animal market in Wuhan China, it mutated and made the jump from animal to people. This Coronavirus, not being in any form a human virus (whereas we would all have some natural or acquired immunity) took off like a rocket. And this was because, humans have no known immunity and doctors have no known medicines for it. This particular mutated animal virus changed itself in such a way the way that it causes great damage to human lungs. At the moment we have no tools in our shed with this. History has shown that fast and immediate closings of public places has helped in the past pandemics. Right now it’s hitting older folks harder but if it mutates again, who is to say what it will do next. Be smart folks, acting like you’re unafraid is not needed right now.

13.01.2022 I am happy -to push my boundaries of comfort -to go somewhere else -to stand out and be different -to embrace failure... -to think of novel ways in the face of we’ve always done it this way To be creative, to think outside the proverbial box you have to be willing to be wrong. - You also have to be willing to be right and yet have everyone think you are wrong. 13.01.2022 If we accept the responsibility of learning to control our energy and the energy around us, then we hold the potential to increase our quality of life, happiness, and surroundings. It is essential that this understanding of our happiness and satisfaction is not seen or defined as a destination, and if we see it as such, we will never arrive. Instead, it is found with everyday life itself. It is a life-long process, evolution, and maturation. We are to mature into the reali...sation that the universe is far more unified than we could possibly begin to comprehend. Erica Vansteenhuyse

12.01.2022 Is it healthy to be a dreamer? Am I deluding myself when I’m chasing a dream? One thing is for sure, it doesn’t cost me a thing. Dreaming is free. Hoping is free. So is worrying. So is self-criticising. They are just different types of self-talk. I am choosing to dream and hope today.

09.01.2022 Dancing to other people’s music and singing other people’s lyrics can elevate your overall wellbeing if they completely match your current emotional state or the state you would like to experience. But if you want to set a unique state for yourself make your own music, play around with the way you use your words and surround yourself with sounds you like. Sounds and words you choose to pronounce and listen to will influence your overall life energy, so use them wisely and purposefully.

06.01.2022 Have you been struggling to sleep recently? You are not alone. I have been struggling to go to sleep and stay asleep lately, more than i ever have. A night or two, even a week, would probably not worry me. But a month later, I am digging for any advice, either it’s from our ancestors, or my dear dead grandparents, or all the wise beings that ever existed on planet Earth and around all the Multiverse, i’m searching the numerous medical and science books i have on the shelves, ...i am open to any suggestions just to be able to figure this out, which one of the advice applies to my case?? Is it physiological? Is it mental? Is it the anxiety around the new virus? Is it the fear of the unknown we have been facing recently? Is it menopause.. (God forbid, the virus almost looks attractive compared to that..) Ancient wisdom, psychoneuroimmunology and holistic spirituality meets quantum science in my take on what i found: - first of all as we know the body repairs itself while we sleep, hence the term beauty sleep - this should be a very obvious reason for me to hand myself over to the sandman for repair.. - we all know that thinking about our problems in the dark will magnify the bad things in our eyes: the darkness outside casts a shadow on our perception, stops the brain from seeing things from a bright perspective and increases the feeling of loneliness, separation and disconnectedness. Lack of serotonin apparently. No thinking of existential questions or problems in the dark! - "sleeping on it" was not advised by our grandmas in vain..They knew it was not wise to stay awake at night pondering over a solution or an answer. It’s more likely that you will solve that problem and find that answer the next day (specially out in the sun and fresh air, when you are well fed and feeling happy.. it’s hard to feel optimistic on an empty stomach in the dark after you got the sack from your employer..) - some great minds swear that solutions and answers come to them in their dreams. So we should go to sleep expecting something to unravel. Could this be because the collective unconscious (or the universal energy which some call God) is always ready to give us a ray of hope, a piece of knowledge, a long forgotten eternal wisdom that we can download in our sleep if we ask for it? So I decided i should sleep unless i am my greatest enemy. Sleeping is medicine. Sunshine is medicine. Fresh air is medicine. Visualisation is medicine. Connecting to the Multiversal Power of God Energy is medicine. A true friend is medicine. Tossing in bed before bedtime is a toll on the immune system. May our nights be peaceful, our dreams bear wisdom and our brain frequencies bring physical and emotional healing to us in our sleep xxx

05.01.2022 When we are counting our blessings, the ventromedial prefrontal cortex of the brain is giving us a neural currency that makes us literally richer - says Christina Karns, research associate in the psychology department at the University of Oregon and director of the department’s Emotions and Neuroplasticity Project. https://www.futurity.org/writing-gratitude-charity-1648582/

05.01.2022 Energy psychotherapy is a great way to discover which of the following factors are disrupting your sleep and how to tackle the problem using simple techniques like conversational hypnotherapy, subtle energy cleansing and consciousness meditation: Age People often have more trouble sleeping well as they age. Stress Stress, worry and anxiety can easily disrupt sleep. Dealing with these causes is of primary importance. Caffeine Caffeine consumption is a common cause of poo...r sleep. Nicotine and alcohol can also be sleep disruptors. Lack of a regular bedtime and routine Go to bed at a time that allows 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Excessive stimulation from electronic devices No TV and leave your cell phone in another room. Some prescription drugs and OTC medications Make sure to explore this possibility with your doctor. Light Too much light and/or the wrong type of light influences our internal clock. Jet Lag and Shift Work These can disrupt our internal clock. Pain and Other Medical Conditions Pain, depression, GERD, restless legs are all possible contributors. Work with your doctor to address any medical conditions, but do consider the benefits of other lifestyle factors. Sleep Environment This can include light, sound, temperature, bedding and electronics. See more

04.01.2022 The efficacy of hypnosis in reducing pain was consistently confirmed for a wide variety of different chronic-pain conditions (e.g., cancer, low-back pain, arthritis pain, sickle cell disease, temporomandibular pain, disability-related pain). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2752362/

04.01.2022 What we know (or we don’t) about COVID19 so far 1. You should not leave your home, unless you really have to, in which case you can. 2. Wearing a surgical mask won’t make a difference, but it might be better to wear one, although it will only stop the spread from you towards the public, but may somewhat protect you from the public, too. 3. All shops and non-essential services are closed, apart from the ones that are open.... 4. Don’t go to any specialist health services or hospitals unless you really need to. The same applies to the GP surgeries, unless you are really sick, in which case you have to. 5. This new virus can cause death but it’s not that dangerous, although it can lead to a global catastrophe. 6. Rubber gloves won’t stop the virus but it could be useful to wear them. 7. You should stay at home but make sure you get some fresh air. 8. There is no shortage in supplies but some things you won’t be able to buy if you go to the shops in the evening. Or in the morning. Or at daytime. 9. The new virus is not a threat to the children or young people, apart from the ones that got ill from it. 10. If you get the new virus you might develop different symptoms, or have no symptoms at all. Or you might have some symptoms and still test negative. 11. The restaurants are closed but you can get takeaway food that had been handled by people who might or might have not been infected, might or might have not worn a mask and gloves while preparing your food and might or might not have coughed on their masks and gloves before they put them on. 12. The virus stays active on surfaces for 2 hours, no, it’s actually 3, 4, 6, 18 hours or was it days? 13. We can predict the rate of death from the new virus although at the moment we don’t know how many people are infected. 14. There is no cure at the moment, apart from the medications that can help, although some of them are too dangerous for human consumption, but only if you take too much of it. 15. We have to stay at home until we develop herd immunity which we will do when most of us get exposed to it which can happen if we meet people who have it. For that we would have to leave our homes which we should not do. See more

04.01.2022 When it comes to weight loss, hypnosis is used as a tool that can help break patterns of thinking that prevent someone from developing healthier routines. It's those lifestyle shifts that will lead to weight loss over time.
