We collected most of these old postcards on a trip to America at the start of last year and a few in France from markets many years ago. There is something so beautiful and nostalgic about them and the lovely hand written notes on the back from a bygone era

21.01.2022 Today we unpacked our 40ft container from France When we decided in March there was no way we would be able to get to France for our usual buying trips we adapted and spent the next 2 months every night after work liaising with our suppliers and carefully choosing every single piece on this container. We were really nervous to unpack this one as it’s the first container in 16 years that we haven’t been to France ourselves to choose. The whole process from buying in March to unpacking today has been exhausting but as we walk around our warehouse tonight looking at everything we can happily say it’s one of our best containers to date Looking forward to sharing everything with you over the coming months.. 20.01.2022 This weeks inspiration I’m sure many of you will share amazing memories of.. The Palace of Versailles. We first visited the palace back in 2004 and have luckily been back 5 times since then and thoroughly explored the grounds. After you’ve been through the main palace which can take a day in itself.. make sure you visit the petite Trianon, grand Trianon, Royal opera and our favourite area (photos 4,5,6 & 8), the queens hamlet. Created for Marie Antoinette so she could amuse h...erself with friends playing like peasants (as you do when you’re queen ) The first painting is one of our all time favourites and the second photo is the famous hall of mirrors from a special trip when we were first in the room and had 5 minutes to ourselves enjoying the splendour before the masses. Highly recommend heading straight to this room before it fills up then re-visiting anything you missed on the way. Also grab some baguettes before you go and eat them in the grounds, it’s the best way to enjoy your lunch there See more
