24.01.2022 We congratulate our lovely student Rose for celebrating 10 Years Of Dancing at LDS. Rose’s took her first steps of dancing at our Tullamarine studio and during her years of dancing, has accomplished many classical ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary examinations. She also enjoys helping out with Miss Rebecca’s tap classes on a Saturday morning. Rose loves to perform at our annual recitals and end of year concerts. She continues to take classes online due to the COVID-19 Pandemic to hopefully fulfil her Grade6 and Dance Spectrum ballet exams later this year. What a marvellous achievement Rose we are very proud of you. We would like to thank Rose’s parents Marie and Mike for their continuous love and support to LDS. Marie Rulla Fordred

24.01.2022 Congratulations to our beautiful Remi celebrating her 10 Years Of Dancing at LDS. Remi loves Classical Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary achieving Honours and Honours With Distinction standard. Remi’s highlight is competing at the Cecchetti Choreographics each year. For the 40th Anniversary, Remi received 1st Place in the Choreographic Championship and winning the Aggregate for her age group. Remi also enjoys performing at our mid year recitals and annual end of year performances. Remi continues to keep up her training online due to the Covid 19 pandemic and she is longing to return to the dance studio which has become her second home along with many friends. We are so proud of you Miss Remi. We thank Remi’s parents Lauren and Chris for their continuous love and support to our school and for bringing Remi to us.

20.01.2022 Saturday marked the end of Celebration Week To commemorate 2020, a year we will never forget, each student was presented with a Certificate and also Achievement Award (special plaque) To complete this year of dancing in full, demonstrates outstanding commitment and dedication. From our youngest dancers to our most experienced, words cannot convey just how proud we are of each and every one of you To the many wonderful parents of Lily’s Dance Studios, we are forev...er grateful for your ongoing support. It is because of you that we can look forward to a Lily’s Dance Studios beyond 2020. We hope the small plant that you were presented with this week thrives in your garden and reminds you that from little things, big things grow Whilst it has not been easy, we hope that you can all reflect on what an achievement this year of dance has been. Many of the highlights that we usually take as a given were unable to take place, including our mid-year Recital, Examinations and of course our main highlight- our Concert, we hope that continuing to learn dancing has given our students a sense of routine, connectedness and belief that through hard work and perseverance, wonderful things are possible. Have the most joyous Festive Season and here’s to a 2021 that brings all the things that we hope for. We look forward to a very special concert next year and we also look forward to being able to properly recognise and celebrate those who achieved milestones this year such as our 10 year Award students. Ruby enjoys tap and hip hop and loves assisting Miss Rebecca with the junior tappers on a Saturday morning. Ruby has continued her training online during lockdown for most 2020 until recently returning to her second home, the studio . Congratulations Ruby we are so proud of you. 16.01.2022 Congratulations to our beautiful ballerina Miss Amelia celebrating 10 Years Of Dancing at Lily’s Dance Studios. Amelia has grown up in becoming a lovely classical ballet dancer, achieving Honours standard in her ballet examinations. She continues to strive for perfection and this shows in her work. Amelia resumes all her lessons online due to the COVID-19 pandemic so she can hopefully sit her Grade 5 Ballet examination later this year and when we are permitted to return to the studio. 10.01.2022 So lovely to see some of our students in this beautifully presented video Happy World Ballet Day and welcome to the premiere of Cecchetti Project#1. Cecchetti Ballet Australia presents Wildfire, a video featuring Cecchetti students from Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand and the Philippines.... This is the first time Cecchetti Ballet Australia has ever put together a video of this calibre. Using editing techniques, our students were able to dance into each other's rooms, digitally breaking the boundaries of lockdown. With over 300 video submissions, director Hara Papoulias and editor Sean Higgins spent over a month through stage 4 lockdown in Victoria; collating, editing and producing this monumental project. Sean was inspired by the ‘look and catch’ choreography performed by the younger students and subsequently went on to animate the golden fireflies that became a motif in this project. The fireflies act as a visual reminder to actively search for the magic and beauty in the world around us, even when times are tough. We hope that the love and passion of Cecchetti Ballet bring us all together during these times, igniting hope and joy that spreads like Wildfire. Special thanks to all of the teachers and parents who helped operate cameras, co-direct and support our dancers. This was a true team effort and we couldn’t have done it without you.
