23.01.2022 Next month #oiltober is coming Inspired originally by #inktober , then last year I was encouraged by @lenadanya turning the challenge to oil paints - this year I want to do #oiltober2020 a little differently - I want you involved Submit the prompt ideas yourself they can be anything 1-3 words max per submission - as many submissions as you like... They'll all be going in a bowl for me to draw from each day and base my painting on fpr the whole month of October, with all pieces available for sale in the first of November (hopefully, I'm going to give myself a bit of wiggle room as 2020 isn't exactly predictable) I have a prompt submission box in my insta stories and pinned to my highlights or you can submit as a comment below Can't wait to get started

05.01.2022 Still practicing my loose brushstrokes with @abbotsfordlifedrawing and this week @louisawoods2.0 ( @officiallouisawoods_ ) I still find zoom life drawing a bit of a struggle but the coloured lighting popped and I especially enjoyed the black paper! 03.01.2022 Oh yes it's #varnish Sunday This piece left for the USA last week, onboard for the 'Midnight Garden' exhibition at @moderneden by @beautifulbizarremagazine but I wanted to show this lady moment of her varnish being applied because it's just too pretty, follow ME for more News on the show Image: A short video of the artist applying clear liquid varnish over their painting, a small pour immediately shows the colours become more vibrant and a foam brush drags the varnish across the surface making it look wet and glossy.
