25.01.2022 We have some unique pieces in our collections here at the Logan City Historical Museum. We catalogued these photos in 2011 and while researching material to help celebrate our upcoming 30th Birthday we came across them again, We googled the Burwood Soccer Club to find that they are located in Western Sydney. The last 6 photos were also part of this collection. I have sent them copies of the photos. I wonder how they made their way to us? An interesting story I am sure. Update They are in the process of organising their 50th Anniversary and were very excited and grateful for the photos.

23.01.2022 Let me introduce myself and what this is all about. My name is Mic Noble and I have been paying homage to our Veterans in local schools and Libraries for over 20 years. Many of you have seen what I set up to enhance ANZAC Day Services at Logan Civic Gardens over the years health willing. This year was to be rather special with some unique pieces on display and an outdoor large screen paying tribute to our local veterans before the dawn service. Which would then continue each ...year giving you the opportunity to have your loved ones added to the big screen. I also have fifty crosses that have fifty of the names from this photo of the Logan and Albert 9th Infantry Battalion Honour Roll from the Great War. It used to be housed in the Logan and District RSL Sub-Branch, until it went missing a number of years ago. So I set this up to share with the people of Logan our own unique Tribute to our Veterans In conjunction with Graham Filkins and the Logan City Historical Museum,The Noble Family War Display with valuable support from Coralyn Cowin and the Logan Village Museum, Elana Edwards and the Marsden Library, Hilda Maclean and the Logan Central Library.. Lest we Forget See more

11.01.2022 Celebrating 30 years of History here in Logan.

11.01.2022 Day 22 Monday the 20th of April tributes. 6011 William Thomas Walden and 9414 George Frederick Waters. In conjunction with Graham Filkins and the Logan City His...torical Museum,The Noble Family War Display with valuable support from Coralyn Cowin and the Logan Village Museum, Elana Edwards and the Marsden Library, Hilda Maclean and the Logan Central Library. Is putting together a tribute to our local Logan Diggers from WW1. While going through old files I came across some photos of an old Logan and Albert 9th Battalion Honour Board from WW1, which used to hang on the wall at the Logan and District RSL Sub-Branch. (it went missing about 15 years ago) Carolyn Cowin and Logan Village Museum had an A3 copy of the photo. I have started researching their names and have created 50 tributes on crosses, that would have featured as part of this year’s ANZAC Day Ceremony at the Logan Civic Gardens. So instead from today we will begin by posting 2 dedications each day so the last dedications will be on the eve of ANZAC Day. Which will be followed up by a Video ANZAC Day tribute for the people of Logan, which was also going to play before the dawn service for the first time at the Logan Civic Gardens. Making way for a new tradition in paying tribute to all who served here in Logan. Lest we Forget See more
