25.01.2022 Greetings all! and a very happy weekend to you all. My apologies for not posting in a while, the time needed to maintain ebay, a website, 3 sons, the QLD heat with Multiple Sclerosis, and a working home have been a bit on the heavy side of late. I hope that you are all safe and sound with the on-going bushfire crisis ravaging our country at present, please don't hesitate to reach out if you need assistance, the community and myself will do our best to assist! The website (www....loosechangecoins.com.au) has just passed the 100 sales mark, a small but exciting milestone, and a super boost to vodkativity.....err productivity. As such, I have added a 10% off Storewide discount, automatically applied at the checkout which expires on the 24th at 11:59pm. I'll be cracking away at another double draw for all you wonderful peeps this weekend, so stay tuned, stay cool, the milky bars are on me! See more

09.01.2022 Welcome to the weekend folks :D I hope it's a grand one for you all. Just started a group: Loose Change Coins and Collectables. Thinking a forum (in the myriad of forums) for collectors to come together, gain info, insights, share, swap, and sell is always a great thing to have, so feel free to jump on board! I'll be adding information about new (and old) finds, perhaps a few sales, and generally try to foster an environment of collectableness....collective collectability....Coins?? :D

The page has passed the 300 followers mark! a milestone certainly for Loose Change Coins.... As a thank you to you all, I have decided it's competition time! I have hidden a picture of an Easter Egg somewhere on www.loosechangecoins.com.au This Easter Egg has an 8 character "Secret Code" written on it. The first person to locate it, and post the "Secret Code" that's on this Easter Egg to this post will win! What's the prize you ask? *drumroll* a 2020 1/10oz Silver Coin in Card - End of WWII 75th Anniversary 10 cent coin. Brand new, and real beauty of a coin. 04.01.2022 Excellent! One time pad is available at the link also. So all you lucky folk who managed to get on the of the ASIO coins can now have a crack at the code, and enter the competition.

03.01.2022 G'day folks! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend, and staying well (dam COVID). Due to supplier limitations, I was only able to get 2 of the recent Banjo Paterson 3 coin sets at wholesale prices :(. With one accounted for, I thought the best way to sell the 2nd at retail was with....A COMPETITION!... More details to follow, but the 2nd set I secured, will be available to purchase at the retail price of $50 (+postage) for the 3 coin set, to the winner of the competition (I know, win the competition, pay money right? ha ha ha). Considering the price increase of these sets now that they have apparently sold out, I couldn't think of a better way to try and present this to a collector who missed out. I'm waiting for my stock to arrive, and when on hand will get things moving. Good Luck in advance!

03.01.2022 Ahhh the Wavy Baseline. Check your 66' 20 cent coins folks! https://www.australian-coins.com//1966-wavy-baseline-20-c/

02.01.2022 One of the crown jewels of my collection, and one of my favourite coins ever.

01.01.2022 The 1981 "3.5 Claw" 20 cent coin. Still readily available today, and in reasonably good to high grades (50 Million minted). Easily Identified with the right information. Not an extremely valuable variety, but one for the completionist collector. Check the claws of the platypus on his left, the first claw will be a half claw (hence the 3.5 claw moniker). Then flip over to the obverse and examine the date and legend. If you notice "Fishtailing" or "Curved Base Lettering", these are the Mint Marks of the Royal Canadian Mint.
