25.01.2022 Am back from my overseas adventures and have started working on a number of ‘side’ projects, one of which is pictured here. Can you guess what it is (the picture kinda gives it away)?There is a serious side to this project - I’m not just making snazzy little penguin jumpers. The jumpers are being made/donated to the Penguin Foundation (Phillip Island) and will be used to help little penguins recovering from the effects of oil spills from ships in the waterways that the peng...uins occupy. The jumpers stop those penguins recovering from oil pollution at the Phillip Island Wildlife Clinic from preening themselves, and in the process accidentally ingesting oil caught in their fur. 17.01.2022 Happy 2020 everyone, and let’s hope this year will bring some peace and happiness to those in Australia who have been doing it a bit tough lately. Following a very busy Dec-Jan period for me, in which I not only moved interstate from Qld to SA but also managed to fulfil several throw orders for three international clients in the US and New Zealand (some of which are featured here) I’m now back in full throw-making swing and keen to get started on some new projects/designs. In the meantime I’m keeping busy making a bunch more of my ‘new line’ hand knitted cotton face washer sets, and also putting the finishing touches on a throw piece I started before Christmas. 13.01.2022 When I made my bed this morning, instead of folding my bed throw neatly at the base of my bed, I just threw it onto the bed and left it where it landed. But being a neat freak its been disturbing me all day. How do you prefer to lay your bed throws? Are you a folder or scruncher?

04.01.2022 I’m currently in Turkey, having just completed the Hellespont swim race, which involved swimming from the European to the Asian side of the Dardanelles Strait. The purpose of my participation was to fundraise for the organisation ‘Soldier On’ which is a not-for-profit which provides support to contemporary military veterans. So not much knitting or designing going on currently, but thought in the meantime it might be timely for you to see the face behind ‘In the Knit of Tim...e’. I’ll be back in Australia in a few weeks time and look forward to working on some new pieces and creating test swatches using new yarns I recently purchased. (And in case you’re interested, I completed the 4.5km Dardanelles swim in well under the 2 hour time limit, at 1 hour 34 mins, and more importantly our whole Soldier On team completed also, and we together raised around $20K for Soldier On.)
