25.01.2022 Would our guests in March all bring some wet weather with them please? Sunny days with rain at night would be nice for them too. Our garden is so thirsty and sad.....one bush of our lavender hedge by the front wall has gone legs up. Good news is the little lime tree by the bedroom verandah is doing well. The plan is for it eventually to provide limes to all our guests to go with the delicious local seafood that they have either caught or bought.

24.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Just letting all our lovely guests know that we are temporarily closed during the Covid 19 emergency. First of all, thanks to those who volunteered to postpone their holidays in April and May. We are so sorry to have to take this step but it is a sensible and necessary action to help protect both ourselves, our guests, and the beautiful little community we live in. We hope that you all stay well and we will post some photos of second valley in autumn from time to time so you won’t miss us too much.

Been busy in the studio making new things from found objects, driftwood and shells. Today, busy in the kitchen baking goodies. Sausage rolls and banana cakes with cream cheese frosting. Now we’d like to invite you back for a relaxing break in this beautiful unspoiled corner of the Fleurieu. You deserve it!

22.01.2022 Second valley markets on today...funkiest little market on the fleurieu. All indoor stalls in our beautiful heritage hall. Craft, fresh produce, gifts, pickles, preserves, cheeses and more. Come for a drive , stay for an afternoon at the beach.

20.01.2022 Moved some heavy furniture for a carpet shampoo and found some reading glasses. I know someone enquired about these and we couldn’t find them, now I can’t remember who it was! Also found a pair of sunglasses. Please reply to this post if they are yours and we’ll endeavour to reunite you.

The funkiest little market on the Fleurieu is on Saturday 27th January 10 till 3 at the second valley hall. Fresh produce, truly unique crafts and artisan skills, sausage sizzle, quilts and gorgeous knitted and crocheted toys. Fresh Hot pastries and packaged fresh snacks and cakes to take home for later.
