24.01.2022 Great news!! Eligible Home Buyers (including First Home Buyers) and Home Renovators in line for new Home Builder Grant! A new grant is being offered by the Federal Government to help with new builds and substantial renovations. We are receiving many enquiries from clients asking how can they utilise this new grant. We have come up with a few facts to help you out. The Home Builder Grant is a time limited grant of $25,000 for any eligible homeowner (including first home buyer...s) or Home Renovator who enters into a build contract between 4th of June 2020 and 31st of December 2020. To be eligible for the grant here listed are some of the stipulations: 1. You are a natural person (not a company or trust) 2. You are over 18yrs or older 3. You are an Australian citizen 4. You meet one of the following two income caps: *$125,000 per annum for an individual application based on your following 2018-2019 taxable income or later *$200,000 per annum for a couple based on both 2018-2019 taxable income 5. A substantial renovation is on your existing home, principle residence, where the renovation contract is between $150,000 to $750,000 and were the existing property value does not exceed $1.5 million (prior to renovation) 5. Construction must commence on or after the 4th of June and within three months of the contract date. Please also note: The renovation must be undertaken by a registered or licenced building service (contractor) and the renovation works must be to improve the accessibility or safety or liveability of the dwelling. It can not be for granny flats, swimming pools, tennis courts, and structures not connect to the property.
