24.01.2022 Tomorrow I will start isolation with my lovely kiddos as one is high risk. For those already with booked reviews That need to proceed I will complete these. Unf...ortunately I will not be in a position to take on anymore as I move into full time carer mode. I maybe able to assist with some short enquires but most plans will be eligible for automatic renewal for up to 24 months. Stay safe and healthy!!! Thanks Renée

23.01.2022 What a week!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wednesday We cracked the case on Mr H, communication boards are out, counting and fast paced is how you work, now to introduce some waiting around that.... Mr A had the flags removed and wins the making safe choices award of the week. Mr C loves the planets and we got him into some structured learning, little steps and mum was a huge help. Today. Mr R started rough and finished strong. Managing all the planned lesson and got to do Octonauts and jumping at the end. Mr E has gone from clinging on for dear life, to having to be reminded of his depth. Today he for the first time let me put him in a float position, and jumped into the water at a safe depth with a noodle. I have had to warn mum that his confidence as gone from nothing to invincible. Now to dial that back, lol!!!! Superstar of the week has to go to Mr D. Terms goals are to swim across the pool without aids. Today he worked super hard experimenting with ways to swim in his comfort zone. He was super tired at the end but pushed through to get a metre from his goal. 23.01.2022 Day 5 of staying away from humans as much as possible. 7am coles shop. Still no bog roll but managed to grab some fresh stuff with the kids. Morning gardening ...session recycling stuff we have. 11am music therapy sing along. Beach for exercise, soccer ball was a great way to move our bodies. Still not bored but I cannot go near my computer as that’s when Tyler becomes a dick. First zoom therapy sessions start tomorrow. Not hating the paediatrician clinic by phone. Can that stay please !!!! Hope everyone’s staying active for mind and body.

In this one hour Zoom webinar, we are not going to just tell you to wash your hands - you already know about that. But we ARE going to go through ways to manage service providers and day options and ADE closures and talk about the big issues - and what happens if someone in my group home tests positive? As well as ways to creatively utilise your support workers now that many recreation options are also closed. We'll also talk about related NDIS issues and options and ideas for looking after yourself and those you love. We expect this to be the first in a series as everything is changing so quickly! 22.01.2022 Term 4 registrations will open soon. Please note restrictions will apply to the letter of the law so to speak. Changes are pending. No client will be accepted without completed registration forms. Clients with positive behaviour plans must submit the plan with the registration, and agree to a short consult with the behavioural therapist. This is so if additional supports are required we have the evidence to show under restrictions that it was needed. ... More to come soon. Ta Renee.

21.01.2022 I have decided to end all term one lessons immediately. I feel it’s the most responsible decision to make in the current climate. We hope to be back in Term 4 2020.... Stay safe and healthy!!!!!

20.01.2022 Managed to do this without crying happy tears. When I said he swam by himself. I mean in 1.7 metres of water with no support from noodles etc...... Mr D. You Rock!!!!

20.01.2022 Today’s experiment!!!!!!!!! Combine interests with swimming to build concentration and safe choices in the water.

19.01.2022 Hello!!!!! Hope everyone’s doing the best they can at this time. Unfortunately I have very little time I can get to a computer. As many know I’m also a carer and that’s now full on 24/7.... So if you get an overdue notice and you have paid bare with me, I’m also working through reports when I can. Mister starts his day at 5am on the dot and I’m a huge morning person I just can’t focus at night. Stay safe, happy and active both in mind and body. I will share our day to this page every now and then as connection with you all and hope to add something for the kids. Thanks Renee

18.01.2022 Talk about an amazing stroke visual!!!

18.01.2022 Covaid 19, corona virus. At this time swimming will continue, chlorine is fab stuff. If schools are asked to close or swimming authorities such as Austswim recommend closure. We will cease lessons. ... The advice at the moment is to wash hands and shower before and after swimming. I will not be providing hand sanitiser as frankly, I can not find it to buy. I will be asking all students shower at the pool before and after swimming where possible. I would also request that anyone unwell refrains from swimming, or those living in a quarantined home. Thankfully I only have very small numbers by design. If you have any concerns then please let me know by phone. Thanks Renée.

16.01.2022 Geez this single mum gig is hard!! Thanks for your understanding over the last few days. Lessons have been cancelled Tuesday and Wednesday as I have an unwell child. This is a medical concern and not an infection of any kind. ... Fingers crossed for tomorrow. I have been dry for two entire days, feels like I’m shrinking. Fish out of water, not my normal state.

15.01.2022 Just wait for the group link for the enrolment forms. Apparently I need to be a group not a page!

15.01.2022 This is brilliant!!!

14.01.2022 Prepping for isolation. This is my school learning kit. Maths, problem solving, social studies, history(what we did as kids), and a little English. ... My kids and I will self combust with at home kits. Do it your way.

12.01.2022 I am very pleased to finally open bookings for Mackay Sensory Swim Term 4. Please see post from MSS Enrollment. Lessons will commence Mondays to Thursdays from 3:20pm.... I apologies for my regular Friday swimmers, its been a hard decision, but one I had to make. Depending on the applications. My hope is to run hour lessons 3:20pm and 4:30pm. 30 Minute lessons from 3:20pm and 3:45pm. Please complete the application with preferred days. Please note even for existing clients enrollment forms are mandatory to secure a spot. I will contact all applications to discuss needs and Goals.

12.01.2022 Tick tick boom!!!!! It’s a go for launch!!!!!!! Covid safe practices will apply. ... Stay tuned tomorrow for the release of registrations.

11.01.2022 Good news for pool operators across Australia from the Australian Government Department of Health Gyms, indoor fitness centres and swimming pools do not need to... close at this time as long as they follow social distancing advice and have good cleaning routines in place. Further information and resources will circulated to the AUSTSWIM family tomorrow. See more

09.01.2022 We needed water.

08.01.2022 Great afternoon in the pool. Mr M flew through his work and completed 4 full laps back and front using the right body position. Mr T did some great work swimming about 4 metres, without an aid. He not keen on hard work so this was a win.... Mr K was a superstar. He blew some bubbles, did some supported kicking, and when through the floating hoop horizontally, then exited the pool nicely. Safe choices today K!! We also had an OT come to offer support and check out our plans. Love seeing these therapist, always welcome.

05.01.2022 There’s a lot of info in this covid19 info release from the NDIS. In a nutshell. Do expect questions regarding your potential exposure prior to a face to face p...lanning meeting. Do expect to be asked to change to a phone interview. If your plan is expiring and will suit your needs for another 12-24 months, you may qualify to have it rolled to a new plan rather than having full review. Do expect full plan reviews to be extended by a month to allow for reduced capacity as more and more people are required to isolate. https://www.ndis.gov.au//ndis-a/ndis-and-disaster-response

05.01.2022 Places are filling fast. Please send enrolment packs back to lock in a place so I can work out the best fit for all.

03.01.2022 Well done to Mr R today. In 4 lessons you have gone from terrified to putting your head under the water, and kicking by yourself on a noodle. He can just barely touch the bottom of the pool. Mr A is getting those fast toes moving and may just be a natural little frog! ... He also manage to swim 25 meters with no aid from a diving start twice! See more
