23.01.2022 This article struck a chord with me as, not only have I returned to Australia after many years of working abroad, I have settled in regional Australia which is already struggling to provide jobs for the people who were living here before I arrived. I feel somewhat vindicated in my decision to go it alone as a remote worker. 18.01.2022 I start working with a new client this week. She runs courses for women who want to pursue a spiritually feminine focused business, and supports to them to that end. I am not particularly spiritual or feminine but I have worked with a variety of people across a range of industries and can adapt my skills and content to suit. This contract will involve copy-typing, copy-writing and research and I look forward to learning more about this area of business (and lifestyle) which is definitely new to me.

13.01.2022 Are you drowning in data entry? I can help. I have been focusing on data entry for a classical music label and I don't even really like classical music. Thankfully my music taste (or lack of) is not a prerequisite for the task of producing half yearly Royalty Statements for the label's accounts team. This has involved a lot of number plugging into spreadsheets that nobody at their end wanted to do. My takeaways from this task? ... 1. If you are a classical musician get a Christmas CD out as according to the data I've been entering, that's where the money is. 2.I'm fast, efficient and accurate at data entry so if you don't want to do it, send it to me - at any time of the year.

06.01.2022 Look what’s arrived at my house? It has to settle for a week or so before the fish can come and live in it. I’ve been transcribing a file about aquariums and this happened... Next week I’ll be looking out for files on winning the lottery, inheriting luxury beach front property and organising household staff. Worth a shot.

05.01.2022 Some days it doesn't even feel like hard work. I had the pleasure of transcribing an interview with a young local indigenous dancer last week. I say dancer, but he’s also an actor, writer and hip hop artist. He was extremely likeable and wonderfully honest about wanting to find international success in order to become a voice for ‘his people’. His people being the disenfranchised local, predominantly indigenous youths. His passion for his community really struck me, particul...arly coming up to NAIDOC Week.
