22.01.2022 LIMITED EDITION SINGLE no.1 - Guatemala - Perla Negra Pacamara AA Flavours - Chocolate, Yellow Fruits, Panela... La Perla Negra coffee, or The Black Pearl is a blend of coffees produced in the mountains of Chiquimula and Zacapa. They are blended together as these coffees have similar profiles and characteristics. The department of Chiquimula is coloquially known as La Perla de Oriente due to its beautiful landscapes and architecture as well as the beauty of the people who live there. Chiquimula is known for being the cradle of art and artists as many of Guatemala’s best poets, writers, singers, musicians come from there. Esquipulas is a municipality located inside this department and is known for its Black Christ, a wooden image of Christ now housed in the Cathedral Basilica of Esquipulas. For this reason, this coffee is named Perla Negra. The work between Caravela and producers responsible for Perla Negra started as a result of many cupping sessions to determine the perfect balance between the sweetness of chocolate, panela and yellow fruit acidity found in this full bodied coffee.

18.01.2022 LIMITED EDITION SINGLE no.2 - Nicuragua - El Volcana AA Flavours - Red Fruits, Vanilla, Mango Curiously, the volcano that this blend is named after is not really a volcano. Looking at it you could be fooled though, and this is how the area, surrounding the mountain that appears to be a volcano, was named "El Volcan". This is a special coffee growing region because of the high altitude, the mild climate and shade found covering the coffee tree on the farms. Here the vegetatio...n is green and plentiful, a healthy ecosystem where the coffee trees flourish. Farmers here take advantage of the special environment by not just growing amazing coffee but also by planting vegeta ble gardens to sustain themselves and their families, with fresh produce. Farmers mainly grow traditional varieties here and they process their coffees to highest possible standard. Picked coffee cherries are de-pulped immediately and then left to ferment for between 24-36 hours depending on the altitude and specific climatic conditions of the farm. See more

Recipe - 21 in 50 out @ 28 secs El Impossible coffee, named after the largest park in El Salvador, is grown along the highlands of Ahuachapán. This coffee represents the uniqueness and special characteristics of its producers. El Impossible National Park, a natural reserve forest that is known for its dangerous gorge that has claimed the lives of many farmers who used to saddle up their mules to transport coffee to the Pacific port. Besides El Impossible National Park, the department of Ahuachapan counts with volcanos, beautiful peaks, lakes, rivers, and a perfect atmosphere for producing diverse agricultural products, such as coffee. Coffee growers in this region, strive to produce high-end specialty coffee with notes of cacao, yellow fruits, and a creamy body.
