07.01.2022 Focus is not all about what’s front and centre. What’s to the side and towards the back are just as important. This image would not have been possible if my cameras autofocus system didn’t have a tiny glitch that millisecond, BUT it’s programmed to detect faces and eyes so maybe, just maybe it knew what was important in that moment. 01.01.2022 One of the great things about photographing couples is the places I get to go and the stories that are told as a result. Yesterday I had the pleasure of heading high into the rolling hills of the Upper Hunter Valley to Carrabolla (look it up, I’d never heard of it) to photograph Brooke & Danny for the pre wedding shoot. This is Brookes family farm, having spent time here growing up. Wow, what a spot. With the threat of gnarly thunderstorms we ventured across their river (yes, their own river) in an old but trusty Toyota Land Cruiser and up to the top of the hills, which weren’t even the highest ones.
