12.01.2022 Show your bag some . Mending and repairing is a big part of my approach to design, making and life in general, both from a sustainablity viewpoint and that its a fun problem to solve . So Im so so (sew sew?) happy my friend @erinlewisfitzgerald has written and published this really amazing book ... . I took part in her visible mending workshop last year and learnt so much . As part of the book launching shell be holding a public mend-a-thon out the front of @readingsbooks Lygon St tonight from 5pm . Ill be there helping from about 6pm so if youve a bag in need of some love pop in and Ill have a look at it for you . 11.01.2022 One-off custom matttchel (my version of a satchel) Made-to-order for the back of a customers wheelchair it needed to be super secure, fit perfectly and look spiffy Lots of nice details though my favourite is the removable printed fabric panel so can be updated and removed for cleaning if necessary; an idea I first had back when I was at St Kilda Esplanade Market at least fifteen years ago... 09.01.2022 So it seems I'll rubbish at Facebook and somehow deleted my last post when trying to update the photo ... Anyhow it was great to get your feedback about your experience with Sendle vs Australia Post Jean-Philippe Daigneault Nick Sheridan and others :) More than anything I'm concerned about the customer experience using couriers vs Australia Post and how this works with deliveries to homes (and having to collect parcels if no-one is home).... Perhaps the best thing will be to test it out for a month on non-express orders and see how it goes. Thanks so much, Matt

08.01.2022 These are wild times Its almost impossible to know the best response to everything thats happening with things changing so fast, but seems everyones doing what they can Ive just added a blog post about what Ill be doing (link in bio), though basically:... minimising physical contact by closing SHOP/STUDIO to visitors using Zoom and Skype posting orders once a week In addition to this Ive also decided to offer 2 for 1 bags for the next couple of weeks (to keep the lights on and minimise flow on effect to suppliers and fellow small businesses I work with) along with store credits for feedback/ideas about the website redesign Lastly Ive also created a link to random things I like (also in bio) if youd like something unpredictable but in a fun way Also happy to hear anyway I can help with any projects you might be working on Stay safe!
