07.01.2022 With Volume 5 Issue 1 in the final stages of printing, and Volume 5 Issue 2 wrapping up, last night marked the handover of the 2013 Medical Student Journal of Australia Editorial Board to the brand new Board for 2014! Congratulations to the 2013 Editorial Board for such an outstanding performance this year.

06.01.2022 Submissions have closed for Volume 6 Issue 1, but the MSJA is constantly accepting submissions for future issues, so keep them coming. Also, being a published author is a great way to make your mum proud!

04.01.2022 There are only 2 weeks left to apply for your position on the 2014 MSJA Editorial Board! The MSJA is Australia's national journal for medical and allied health students. With world-renowned clinicians and researchers as expert peer reviewers, the MSJA is a fun and challenging way to gain skills and knowledge in research publication and medical journalism. There will be 25 positions available on the MSJA Editorial Board in 2014. For more information on these positions, pleas...e visit http://msja.anu.edu.au/about_us.php. Applications are for general admission to the Editorial Board only. Once the 2014 MSJA Editorial Board has been selected, specific positions will be allocated. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be available to fill the position for the entire academic year. Applications should include: - a brief expression of interest (maximum 200 words) and - a curriculum vitae. The only exception to this is the role of webmaster, which will be new in 2014. Applications for the position of webmaster should include specific reference to interest in maintenance of the MSJA website. No previous experience is necessary but would be highly regarded. 04.01.2022 The Medical Student Journal of Australia (MSJA) invites you to submit a manuscript for publication in Australia’s national journal for medical and allied health students. With world-renowned clinicians and researchers as expert peer-reviewers, the MSJA is seeking innovative research, interesting arguments and new perspectives from all medical and allied health students. Volume 4 Issue 2 included pieces by Dr Nicholas Coatsworth, President of Medecins Sans Frontieres Australia... and Dr Andres de Francisco, a Deputy Director at the World Health Organisation. Students from the Asia-Pacific region are invited to submit manuscripts by 5pm, 19 August 2013 to be considered for Volume 5 Issue 2. The MSJA welcomes submissions from students undertaking training in any of the health professions, including medicine, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, psychology, occupational therapy, speech pathology and health law.
