22.01.2022 Many people just think well green is green, or navy is navy - but there are so so many variations and shades of each colour and each can have such a different impact. Research shows that up to 85% of consumers believe colour is the biggest motivator to choose a particular product, while 92% acknowledge visual appearance as the most persuasive marketing factor overall. Having a clear idea about what your brand’s aesthetic is and how you want your targe...t audience to feel will help you hone in on the most impressive colours to choose for your brand. A particular brand I absolutely loved refreshing was @pgaadvisory. Their colour palette consisted of a lighter green and block font and when they explained the target audience they were trying to attract, their identity just didn't fit. So I went away and developed an entirely new range of suitable identity concepts. The brief was to not veer off the colour green for the brand's colour palette but to look at deeper tones. Which worked wonderfully with the new identity I envisioned as green can be associated with meanings of growth, harmony and safety and also traditionally associated with money, finances, banking and ambition all of which fit beautifully with their service offering and mission. Looking at textures can often help picking up varying shades of a colour. For PGA Advisory, these images formed part of the journey I took the clients on to find the perfect green for their brand. Along with a sophisticated font, the chosen rich deep green now effectively communicates wealth, trust, wisdom and professionalism.
