21.01.2022 Ill never forget this location. I drove for hours the day before trying to get access to these ranges but the only through was via a private property. NZ being the way it is the bride knew the owner and after a phone call we had instant access. We took off just after entree and wandered as the sun went down and it was seriously beautiful. Couples take note. Whipping out at sunset for 20 mins will be totally worth it. 04.01.2022 This year I'm lucky enough to head back to the incredible workshop @abitmoresoul run by the best ladies ever @rachaelbrownphotography @emily_adamson @fandersen . A workshop that really opened up my photography world and made some life long friendships along the way. This is little synopsis of what I will be talking about. I started my photography journey just before I had kids, so once I had them it was natural for me to pick up the camera and shoot them. It didnt occur to m...e until years later that documenting them had become a thing. I was already doing personal work but to me it didnt have that label, it was just something I was doing because it was my creative outlet and I was dead passionate about it. But then photography became my income and my perception of personal work changed. I was a serious arse photographer now, so I should be making serious arse images. And thats when it all turned to shit. I want to share with you how personal work can be whatever the f**k you want it to be and that its not meant to be perfect. How its an iterative approach and that it will feed back into your photography work in one way or another" If you're going, I will see you there. If not, you're nuts!
