24.01.2022 PhotoAccess is offering this awesome project to young people aged 15 25 years old. Join Future Faces, a two-day workshop re-making the Woden streetscape with a giant photo-mural showing what young people think about our city, now and into the future. Over the weekend, you’ll share ideas, create paste-up street art and have fun celebrating the belated ACT Youth Week 2020 with a statement about the power of us! Young people of all backgrounds are very welcome, and you don’t n...eed any experience in art ( or activism!) to participate. This is a free event, but registrations are essential.

19.01.2022 We are inviting past and present Messengers participants (aged 14 - 18) to the Arts Centre this Wednesday for a chance to catch up during the break. 14.01.2022 Our visual arts groups have been working on collaborative lino printed city maps. Each participant cuts out a small block each and when they are printed together an intricate birds eye view of an imagined city appears.

08.01.2022 We have teamed up with CRCS Youth Engagement Team at Belconnen Youth Centre to deliver the Belco Links program. Participants this term have a keen interest in visual arts and music and have been learning new skills on guitars, djembes, ukuleles and more.

05.01.2022 For the last few weeks Molly has been working on a ceramic piece that ties into a school project on dinosaurs. She has been working hard to perfect the shapes of this dinosaur before she adds details and glaze. We can’t wait to see this fantastic sculpture when it’s finished and fired in the kiln

This term we are lucky enough to work with some incredible visual, theatre and dance artists, who will lead dynamic and fun programs that develop participants artistic knowledge, abilities and expression. 01.01.2022 If you are a keen Geocacher you may have noticed some new caches around Lake Tuggeranong. Messengers participants used natural materials to camouflage their own micro caches and hid them around the lake.

01.01.2022 Young people in our visual arts classes have been working with glass artist, Sui Jackson to replicate stained glass windows using cellophane and paper. Stay tuned for the final intricate products.

Visit the exhibition to see some 2D & 3D pieces full of whimsy, colour and creativity !! There is space for you to create your own piece inspired by the exhibition and add it to the wall.

13.12.2021 In the final installment of the Q&A Parenting Help Series; social worker, Sarah O'Sullivan helps parents of teenagers understand self-harm and peer pressure. 10.12.2021 UPDATE: From Tuesday, 2 November we will be re-commencing some of our face-to-face programs. We will be running visual arts programs on Tuesdays (ages 9 - 14) and Thursdays (ages 14 - 18) from 3:30pm - 5:00pm at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre. We will also be offering a weekly online program on Wednesday afternoons for anyone who is unable to attend the other programs. As soon as we are able to return to our regular program schedule we will do so. We are so excited to welcome everyone back to the Tuggeranong Arts Centre next week.

26.10.2021 We have been Inspired by Nikolai Tolstyh's Silhouettes and will be creating our own versions in todays session. Join us this afternoon from 3.30pm to design, cut out and photograph your own silhouette. Bring paper, pencil and scissors.
