22.01.2022 Hey everyone, hope you're all well. Now we've got our head around the current restrictions.... let's talk about ideas for weddings 2020-2021. Social distancing, keeping contact details & providing lot's of hand sanitizer is a must. (a new table center piece trend!)... Place a notice on invitation, or a follow up on their reply, to ask guests to please stay at home if feeling unwell. All bridal party members - check your temp before you start to get ready on the day of the wedding. Best practice would be NOT to blow bubbles or throw any eco friendly confetti at the couple. Find a gesture your both comfortable with - in place of your guests hugging & kissing you, eg- Cross hands over heart then clasp them. Or standing 1.5 mts apart do the YMCA movements! (or any variation depending on how many vino's have been consumed, Lol) You can't dance, or mingle too close, but you could perhaps play games - Trivia. Charades. Who am I. Bingo. Celebrity head mania. Actors/ players "react" to a made up scenario & others have to guess what it is, Just to name a few. If your planning a wedding in 2020 or 2021, ensure that your venue & all suppliers permit postponements or cancellations leading up to your date without penalties. Some factors that may affect you day without any notice - Key guests becoming ill, Venue or other suppliers going out of business due to COVID, New directives being issued by Qld Gov restricting wedding guests numbers. There is a growing trend for small, intimate group weddings or Elopements & this may be the way a lot of people marry going forward. Don't be afraid to explore your options, work out what's the most important element of the day for you & run with it! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you want to chat or to see if your date is available. PS - we have a lot of styling Items available at Vintage Ceremony to enhance your ceremony without any extra charge. Michelle xx P: 0417 600 176 E: [email protected] W: http://vintageceremony.com

11.01.2022 Hello lovelies, grab your favourite bevvy & get comfy. (it's gonna be a long one ;) I would like to share with you the current way that Weddings are being held (& possibly going forward as well). The following directive (#5) from the QLD Chief Health Officer, is pursuant to powers under S 362B of the Public Health Act 2005. (This means it's law! & applies to everyone, no exceptions).... Restrictions on Businesses, Activities & Undertakings. Direction (#5) ** A person who owns, controls or operates a restricted business, activity or undertaking in QLD including operating in a private residence, or in a public space may do so, provided there is an "Approved Plan", " Covid safe checklist" or "Covid Safe Event Checklist" for the said business or activity - ** Weddings are limited to a maximum 100 persons. (this means everyone, incl couple, celebrant, photographer etc). ** Venues or spaces -under 200 square meters in size are allowed, no more than 1 person per 2 square mtrs, = up to 50 people. OR ** No more that 1 person per 4 square mtrs for a venue or (including private) spaces bigger than 200 square mtrs. (Still =100 people) in accordance with the COVID Safe Framework & Public Health Controls. ** Contact information must be collected for all in attendance. ** Strict adherence to 100 People or less & social distancing. (no hugging or kisses :( ** Guests must be seated for eating & drinking. Where a bar is serving alcohol, you are permitted to leave your seat to obtain a drink, providing you immediately return to your seat. There is to be no Buffet or Self Serve food. ** A couple marrying are permitted their first dance, and/or a dance with their parents. The guests may not participate in dancing on the dance floor.
