10.01.2022 URGENT MESSAGE FOR SUPPORT. Hi all. As a small business, we at Michelles could not stand by without commenting on the virus topic. We do understand these are trying times with basically everyone affected in one way or another. It seems though that some / many (you choose which) have stepped beyond the level of sensible caution and have let irrational fear take over. That is understandable given the often conflicting information out there. However, by taking the lets p...anic approach then many, many, many, many small businesses are hurting and a lot of your favourites may not be there when eventually Australians step back out of the shadows. We dont want you to worry about Michelles...we will be fine. But you do need to worry about restaurants, hospitality, cafes and many many other service industries. Obviously caution is required, as it is every flu season, but if we dont work together in a rational, prudent and measured manner, then the current pain will get worse and for many small businesses (which are run by regular people and families like you) the end results will be fatal. So please, wash your hands, disinfect, Glen-20 yourself and then, where possible, get out there and visit your local cafes, restaurant, hairdresser, podiatrist, butcher and whatever as they need your custom. 09.01.2022 MICHELLES BEAUTY TIP : Make-up brush hygiene With the current focus being on hygiene, I thought it opportunistic to show case the life span of your make up brushes. Our make up brushes are fabulous tools. They give our foundations and primers a flawless even coverage. They are our secret weapons when the professional make up artist is not always ready and available to create that red carpet look or day to day look. Not only that, our brushes prevent that tell tale demarcati...on line at the jawline. Some make up brushes we use daily, hence they may last 1- 2 years depending upon frequency of use. Think of your make-up brush like your toothbrush. A good indication your make up brush is ready to be replaced is it may have an odorous smell or the bristles may start to fall out as your apply make up. To promote longevity of your make up brushes, use a gentle cleanser. Similar to the one you would use on your face. Harsh alcohol based cleansers or shampoos can become trapped in the bristles and irritate the skin. So dont use these. Lie the brush flat and rotate it as it dries so there is no build up of water and try to keep water away from the wooden component of the brush as it will rot. Hopefully these hygiene tips will keep you brushes and your face healthier. Until next time, stay safe and wash your brushes. Michelle
