25.01.2022 New South Wales 82 class locomotive 8217 Seen here at Galston Valley Railway ~ HME Diesel Day 2016 ~ 16/07/2016.. ----------------------- [19 Weeks till HME Diesel Day 2020 Inter-club ~ All AALS Clubs and their members are invited].. ----------------------- In 1992 a fleet of 55 EMD JT42C locomotives was ordered from Clyde Engineering, this was later increased to 58.[1] The design was based on the prototype locomotive GML10 built by Clyde Engineering, Kelso in 1990.[2][3] The...y have two cabs, built in a hood style. They were originally to be built at Kelso, but a lack of capacity saw Clyde Engineering lease Australian National Industries' Braemar plant.[4] Early artists' impressions showed them numbered as the 94 class. The first two were originally numbered 9401 and 9402 but renumbered 8201 and 8202 before leaving the factory. https://en.wikipedia.org//New_South_Wales_82_class_locomot

22.01.2022 New South Wales 73 class locomotive The 73 class are a diesel-hydraulic locomotive built by Walkers Limited, Maryborough for the New South Wales Government Railways between 1970 and 1973. The New South Wales Government Railways placed an order in October 1969 with Walkers Limited, Maryborough for 20 Bo-Bo shunting locomotives.[1] These were the only New South Wales locomotives to be built in Queensland.... The first unit was delivered in October 1970. When the whole of the first order had arrived, all steam shunting on the North Coast line and the Sydney Metropolitan area, as well as at Goulburn had been replaced. In July 1971 a further 30 units were ordered. The last of these arrived in March 1973 and this brought to an end all remaining steam shunting operations in New South Wales. https://en.wikipedia.org//New_South_Wales_73_class_locomot

The 422 class were the first Australian locomotives built with non-streamlined dual cab bodies. Manufactured by Clyde Engineering, Granville, they were introduced into service on the Main South and Illawarra lines where they would spend most of their New South Wales careers hauling passenger and freight services. Among the services they hauled were the Canberra Express, Intercapital Daylight, South Coast Daylight Express, Southern Aurora, Spirit of Progress and Sydney/Melbourne Express. In 1980 42220 was rebuilt by Clyde Engineering, Rosewater, receiving an AR16 alternator, a new electrical system and Super Series wheel slip technology.
