11.01.2022 In Australia, music lessons are viewed as a luxury and often are let go to make way for more sporty lessons which is hugely supported in this country. Music is our language from birth, before the spoken word, and should be encouraged throughout life. Music is a gift that lasts a lifetime

08.01.2022 20 yrs ago, I was privileged to be apart of an amazing group of performers making history in the 2000 Sydney Olympics Opening and closing ceremonies. All the official recordings of the featured songs in the ceremonies were also rehearsed and recorded months before, in secret locations. It was all very hush hush! I remember stinking hot days rehearsing out in secret locations in the back of Rooty hill where they stored all the props, a lot of waiting around, stiff plastic whi...te costumes, and lots of bus rides to various locations for rehearsals and recordings, and us all being very intrigued by the little curly blonde girl who was at the studio one day who had been selected for a pretty important role in the ceremonies, who would become a house hold name across the world. It was hard to envisage at that time, what exactly we were to be apart of in the coming months/weeks - I could never have foreseen how amazing it would really be! There was such a sense of excitement and love for your fellowman everywhere you went, and the nonsense in the world just seemed to fall away and be replaced with joy and anticipation! I remember being moved beyond words and overwhelmed by the surreality of the history I was apart of as the ceremonies unfolded. No words can describe the atmosphere that night.. it was absolutely euphoric! An amazing time to be alive and a performer Being apart of the Sydney Olympic Games was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I will be forever proud to say I was apart of what I think was the best opening and closing ceremony ever in the world!

07.01.2022 A range of keyboards and electric pianos have arrived, come check them out!

06.01.2022 Covid has affected many things, and stopped of us doing the things we have always loved to do, but for my music students we have pushed through and found new ways to embrace our passion from a distance. More practice has become possible for most which is a positive thing out of this whole thing!! It is important to remember our achievements are only limited by the effort we are willing to put in! I have asked each of my students to share their favourite piece they have been w...orking on during the last few months while covid and lockdown has been happening to show what is possible when everything else seems impossible! Here is a wonderful rendition of Nuvole Bianch composed by Ludovico Einaudi, performed by one of my very talented students Katrina. She has such a beautiful gift of expressing each note she plays, creating a unique story with every piece she works on. Always a pleasure to hear her play! Thankyou for sharing this beautiful piece with us all to hear, and well done on all your hard work fine-tuning this piece! It has payed off

06.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing all my lovely students, and welcoming some new ones this term when lessons resume next week! Please get any last Creative Kids vouchers into me as soon as possible! See you then
