14.01.2022 Everyone is invited to my 55th birthday party/free surf movie night/book launch at 5 pm -10 pm friday 25/3/16 at Bert and Roy's Cafe-Bar-Grill at 115 Bondi Road, just down from Waverley Oval. I will be premiering a brand new film edited from our recently digitized Super 8 catalogue shot between 1974-84 which includes old Bondi footage, the '74 Coke and '77 Bells and Stubbies comps and beautiful old Angourie and G'land from back in the day. I will also be showing 'Journey On' ...The Shane Herring short film, Five North Swells and Liquid Time. There is no entry fee; this is the first birthday party I have had since my 21st in 1982 and I will also be playing the mix tape I still have from that night featuring ACDC, Sunnyboys, Doors etc. I will also be selling copies of my brand new collection of short stories 'Diagnose This' for $20 a copy; signed of course. Don't feel you have to buy one to come, it just happens that my book launch and birthday fall on the same day. Alcohol is available at the bar and Ben is putting on free nibblies and a special $10 meal for those interested.
