25.01.2022 Having a break in the sun at Rainbow Beach weather is good for a few coldies

23.01.2022 Thursday night was busy with patrons hoping for their number to come up for the $4100 draw. Jackpoted to $4200 this Thursday. Friday night meat tray raffles popular once again and after Saturday Great Eights games the party bowlers enjoyed the venue.

22.01.2022 I know things will be fairly quiet around the ridges on 25th April . Time for reflection at the hard times past , time to think about the spirit of our past and present generations of men and women and their actions in all campaigns and on the home-front as well. Theirs is the spirit we need now and into the future. Let us all 'Raise a Glass'.

16.01.2022 Updating the Singles competition which has been progressing smoothly considering the activity on the greens with Great Eights . Three games played yesterday alongside the Division 3 Black versus The Waves round. Mooloolaba got the points 2 rinks to 1. Well done boys , it was a good result all round.

16.01.2022 Men's Player of the year totals ATM. 20/15/10 points up for grabs from the Singles hopefully by the end of the month and Pairs are being played ASAP as well. With the health restrictions we are trying our best to work through the draw.

16.01.2022 Mooloolaba Ladies Club Pairs played on Thursday and 3 games were completed. Pauline Boyd and Bev Robson had a close game against Avian Avenell and Fay Blucher. From 5 /15 on the halfway mark they won the second half 14 shots to 3 to take the lead for the first time on the last end and win 19 to 17. Ellie Josephsen and Liz Pauliwere neck and neck with Rita Hedges and Marian Morrissey after 9 ends but the wind shifted and they picked up 22 shots to 8 over the rest of the ends and cruised home to win 30 /17. 15.01.2022 Thursday $500 pairs thanks to Fluffy Ciritel our Sponsor and even with the storms and flooding 18 teams turned up to enjoy 2 games of pairs.

13.01.2022 Wild week and a rocky road ahead. In this upside down bowls period we are going through there is very little good news to report apart from the effort from management and staff and members to comply with seperation laws and non crowding of venues. Therefore it was refreshing to watch a quality game of club pairs on Saturday afternoon along with 5 others spread out along the verandah all keeping their distance.

13.01.2022 Another busy week and more to come. Mooloolaba Girls went well in District Pairs even with the adverse weather. Kay and Mary , Leona and Judy both won their section and Leona and Judy made it through to the semi -finals where their run was halted.

13.01.2022 Bit of action around the club this week which was good to see. A couple of Club Pairs games played and one game of the vets singles completed. T.Flynn & Don Woodley 28 against R.Morley and R.Yaxley 11 ; Les Bloxham & P.Dingle 24 against B.Mathew & M.Logan 12. Vet singles saw Max Smedley 25 over Norm Rose 19 and semi -final of A Singles resulted in a 25/ 8 win to G.Geary against Keith Haeusler. Nominations are building well for Mixed Pairs / Mixed Fours and men's Triples... and will close and be drawn on 30th.July so don't miss out. Thursday set play pairs is on again this week 9/07/20 and all social games are up and running. $200 Jackpot Game starts next Monday and will be available for all $13.50 games. Jack-pot increases $20 per game so could be some serious $$$ available soon.

12.01.2022 I try to shy away from posting photos of food however Monday night was the first time I have tried the new menu and it was tops.

12.01.2022 Good results for the members on the weekend. Think most of the home teams had an overall win. Sunday Singles saw Junior 25 14 to Shane; Keith was in red hot form to beat Rod 25/2 and Larry went down to Fireman Phil 25/16. Round two is now available to most to play through so hopefully we can get some games played. Paul Henricks and Paul Bonell have booked a rink for Friday so that should be a good one to watch.

11.01.2022 Pity his Dad wasn't around to sort out these D-H who are ignoring the rules of social distancing !

11.01.2022 Busy week under the shelter of the Dome as rain teemed down on the "Sunny Coast". REGIS sponsored the SCDLBA District Fours held on Monday to Wednesday and great to be able to host a party of their staff and residents who attended the final.

10.01.2022 A Singles has progressed to the final eight and beyond with todays game between Phil Holden and Geoff Geary. Geoff was the winner 25/9. The draw now is John Morrissey out waiting for the winner of Jay Globits and Geoff Allen. Geary to play Wesley Hedges, Jon Pom Beresford up against Keith Haeusler.

10.01.2022 Found a few more Photo,s

09.01.2022 Friday afternoon several supporters and interested spectators showed up for the singles game between Paul Henricks and Paul Bonell. Dean Sluce was marking and kept busy right from the start marking touchers and mustering scattered bowls from the destroyed heads. There was no quarter given on either side and the first few ends showed Bonell was on form as he took the lead slightly. A 7 shot lead on end 8 was slowly hauled back by Henricks untill only 1 shot seperated them by the 3/4 mark. Then they were even on the 21 end at 19 apiece before being 24 all on 25 ends. Some close bowls saw tension build and Bonell reached up through the head and when things stopped moving he was down 1 shot and the game was declared.

06.01.2022 Found some photo's

05.01.2022 Fours final has just started 3.00 so something to watch if you want to head down. Tanis V Blanco. Wesley and Geoff got stuck into it for 31 ends this morning and turned out to be a close game. 25/22 to GG. Jay and Geoff Allen played their game last night so the semi-final field has been decided. John Morrissey v Jay Globits Geoff Geary v Keith Haeusler.

05.01.2022 "Second time I've played the final of the A singles on the carpet and it's getting harder to stay with these young blokes ! Jay hasn't lost a singles game at Mooloolaba and even though he wasn't at his peak his game was awesome. Good luck in the District Play-Off's mate and I hope we can get plenty of supporters to cheer you on !" Thanks to our Bowls Director Paul for marking and the many spectators who supported the game.

05.01.2022 Div 2 Pennant Champions at Pine Rivers forget the year

05.01.2022 The Club decided to go ahead with the Ladies Fiesta on Thursday under strict guide-lines set down by Committee. Under 100 people / no personal contact/ plenty of spacing, even if the social side suffered a little the friendships didn't.

04.01.2022 Time for a laugh
