24.01.2022 We have an unexpected network outage at 1 King St that seems to be affecting the entire Newtown site. At this stage the cause is unknown, so we cannot make any estimate about time to resolution. Thanks for your patience. UPDATE: all seems to be ok now. We are investigating, but for now all appears to be fine.

19.01.2022 SERVICE DISRUPTION - Moore West: This afternoon the internet connection at Moore West is being changed over to the new Fiber that IT have had installed. This should bring a significant improvement in speeds both cabled and wireless. Making the change will involve taking the entire network offline for up to an hour (hopefully no more than a few minutes) between 3:00pm 4:00pm today, so there will be a disruption to the internet service between these times. ... 16.01.2022 Internet Speed Issues - Moore College & Australia Wide! Some of you may have noticed that our internet speed has been slower than usual over the past few days. This is due to some undersea cables between Hong Kong and Sydney that have been damaged in the recent typhoons. 14.01.2022 FIXED - LSS2020, OGI and MOD are OK. LSS (all years), OGI and MOD are unavailable at the moment. Some server updates installed overnight appear to have disabled the server. We are working to fix it at the moment, but we have no idea at this stage how long it will be before they are available again.

14.01.2022 Residents of Croydon Park - Our ISP currently has a fault with NSW DSL customers. Their engineers are working with Telstra on a solution. Hopefully your internet connection will come back online soon. Darin

14.01.2022 126 Croydon Park - Internet down! Croydon park residents please be aware that there is currently an issue with the NBN that services all the units in 126. We are working to have this resolved ASAP. ETA to resolution is by 5pm this afternoon at the latest. ... Cheers, Tom. H.



14.01.2022 Internet Upgrade COMPLETE - MooreWest: The change over to the new Fiber connection at the MooreWest property is complete. Thanks for everyone's patience during the outage and during the times there have been people ripping up your gardens! ... To anyone with some technical knowledge regarding internet speeds - you may be able to help us get some information that will help us improve the service: If you are experiencing slow connectivity, or even if you aren't and just want to help IT out a bit, please email [email protected] and create a request with the subject "MooreWest SpeedTest". 09.01.2022 INTERNET SERVICE ALAERT: Our internet provider has informed us that there will be an internet outage at 2:00am on Tuesday 15th August (tomorrow) that will disrupt services for about half an hour. 08.01.2022 Internet Upgrade - Moore West: On Monday the 28th during the afternoon, the internet connection at Moore West is being changed over to the new Fiber that IT have had installed. I'm hoping that this is the final step and that there are no more roadblocks. Making the change will involve taking the entire network offline for up to an hour between 3:00pm 4:00pm, so there will be a disruption to the internet & WiFi service between these times.... 06.01.2022 Moore College internet (Newtown) is down at the moment. Our network provider has been sent urgent messages to investigate. Once we know something, we'll post here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

04.01.2022 Attention GMail users: if you send an email to [email protected], monitor your Junk folder for replies. Currently something Gmail is doing with emails from our Helpdesk system means that it thinks they are spam.

04.01.2022 There is an issue with LSS2017's connection to the Single Sign-On server (a.k.a. CAS). This means no-one can log in. We're working on it right now. Stay tuned. UPDATE: you can now log into LSS2017 again. note that the Single Sign-On connection is not working for now. We will sort that out separately tomorrow. Meanwhile you will need to log into Library and other resources separately for now.

03.01.2022 We are aware of some major network issues effecting WiFi, Phones and the entire network. We are looking in to it now alongside our service provider and hope to figure the cause asap! ~Tom H.

01.01.2022 We currently have a major internet connectivity issue. No internet services are available from the main Newtown campus. We are working on resolving this as quickly as we can. Darin
