24.01.2022 Free Dress Day Save the date for Wednesday 7 October. This is Week 1 of Term 4 and it will be a free dress day with a gold coin donation. 23.01.2022 Senior Swimming Carnival is running late and is not expected to finish until right on 3 pm. This will affect the students in years 4,5,and 6.

23.01.2022 Today we were very lucky to have a special visit from the Queensland Governor, Mr Paul De jersey, Mrs Kaye De jersey, Mayor Anne Baker and Deputy Mayor Kelly Vea Vea. The Governor spoke to all of our students through a virtual parade, Mrs De jersey read a story to a range of students from our junior school about their own dog (this book was donated to our school afterwards), our visitors also visited some year 6 classrooms, where students had the opportunity to ask and answ...er questions. The school captains had the experience of welcoming our visitors and independently showing them around our great school. They led the whole visit in the best possible way. All of the students involved today did MSS proud. We received lots of positive feedback from the governor in relation to our school and the conduct of our students. #stateisgreat See more

Come along.....it's out of this world! ... Would you like to WIN Design a BOOK ROCKET for your chance to win a VOUCHER to spend at book fair! All you need to do is to recycle a bottle and decorate it to represent a book! Entries will be on display in the library during Book fair.

07.01.2022 Dear Instrumental Music Families, The Queensland Youth Orchestra Big Band are coming to Moranbah next Wednesday 2nd of December! They will be performing at each of the primary schools in Moranbah as well as for the community at the new Moranbah SHS Performance Hall in the evening. Community Concert starts at 7pm. Doors open at 6.45pm. COVID rules apply. Due to COVID restrictions we can't do our normal school run workshops so instead, we are opening a workshop for a maximum of... 15 members from the community on Wednesday 2nd of December at 5.15-6pm in the Moranbah SHS Performance Hall. This workshop is targeted toward Intermediate to Advanced players (2+ yrs experience). All ages welcome. So, if you or someone you know is keen to play alongside the amazing QYO Big Band, send me (Emily Walker) an email ([email protected]) so I can add your name to the list. Music will be sent through once confirmed you will be attending. We will be playing stage band charts (includes bass guitar, rhythm guitar, piano and drum kit plus brass/woodwind).
