23.01.2022 Today’s CLA General Meeting saw many questions answered by Dr John Chesterman OPA - thank you John for helping our carers understand the legal issues that impac...t on families caring for a person with an cognitive impairment. John handed out the latest publications put out by the OPA. CLA were encouraged to keep up our advocacy work regarding the urgent need for suitable housing options for adults with an intellectual disability Carers also shared valuable experiences which will help others in overcoming the same hurdles they encounter. We are planning to publish these on our website and Facebook page so everyone can benefit from these tips. We were completely spoilt by the Morning Star Estate staff person Mark who set up the conference room and waited on the guests . We all enjoyed a lovely lunch catered for by Forty 9 from Mt Eliza.
